The fire mission end of radio transmit  beeps are back again, they didn't have those high tech radios in ww2
I hope no other fixed bugs crept back in with it.

You can feel free to develop some fundamental social competence, and I'll bother continuing this with you.
As it is, I don't feel much like wasting time on a frankly rude stranger who seems mainly occupied with arguments of (dubious) authority and putting words in my mouth.

Info does pass directly from infantry to tanks, but only if they are very close. In CM terms, infantry in the square the tank is on, or the square right next to it.
If this doesn't happen, then it's the bug where the tank already has the info but it's not visually updated to the new location after the target tank has moved. The tank still gets the spotting bonus for having the info though.

Commander stays very calm, despite his folks getting wounded in succession and himself too. Just by looking how wounded soldier with cut out pants (beefy bearded one, funny nickname "Alkaida" ) shivers one can almost feel this cold in the trench. Kudos to female medic too. Oh, and sound of tracks definitellycan  get on nerves.
On light side, they are very well armed and clearly know their stuff.
Anyway, worth to watch. Pretty educational video, I would say, even if no enemies are visible.
PS. And summary of actions from one of our military analysts:
"ONE OF THE IMPORTANT DAYS IN THE EAST" Fragment of the fighting near Avdiyevka, probably of an infantry platoon from the 47th Mechanized Brigade. .... A ride in combat vehicles... Night rotation of infantry platoons in the "Reks" position, taking over the position at night and fighting to maintain it, dressing the wounded and the brilliant calm of the commanding non-commissioned officer, which spreads to the entire platoon, despite heavy fighting with the "Peters" (Russians). and "Pitery" hold on... they fight... they don't give up At times the defense is circular... but we hold on . Our guys support "Żelazek" and "Architect" (platoons). The commander tells the "German" with MG2 (German machine gun) to save ammunition, and the "German's" helper and ammunition keeper is... "Jewrej", i.e. a Jew [funny, cause the other guys is called Alkaida ][Russian artillery fires dangerously and frequently, and has unexploded bombs (one can be heard at the beginning of the film). Interestingly, women in combat units fight like men. The film was shot from the position of the command point and the nest for wounded... Then fighting  in the trenches with the attack of Russian infantry, and in the distance you can hear the bursting of Ukrainian artillery cluster shells. There are probably fewer "Peters" now... Grenades are flying, and drones are flying somewhere in the distance... but ours (I think) Russian fire wounds the Ukrainian commander. There is a hole, it doesn't matter, the wounded non-commissioned officer continues to command the platoon's operations, and the platoon fights... You can see that the army is under fire, and stress does not paralyze you but helps you make the right decisions, just like during training A rally of Russian tanks into positions, followed by Russian infantry, but in the "German" position - with MG3. The commander ordered the "ateshniks" (anti-tank section from the abbreviation AT) to let the tanks pass rather than expose the platoon to "meat from their fragmentation shells". The "Żelasko" position took care of the tanks. Supposedly it put something down... it had more "atheshniks" The commander is ordered to leave the position... Platoon is preparing to evacuate. The commander will determine the order of loading into the wagons. The nest of wounded goes first The "German" is the last one, but he complains that he must have left too much ammunition, which he took so hard to bring to the "Peters"... War wagons arrive and put up a smoke screen and use fire to weaken the retreat of the companions   Evacuation, and the heavy M2 Bradley provides solace and shelter Hurry to the assembly area... medics are waiting there. Evacuation of the wounded and rest... This day was good, no losses, only hurts... I recommend. Movie approx. 30 min. Best regards and thank you

One thing I've seen argued is that the APS doesn't work at the very short distances they are firing their rockets from. So I guess that would be your option 1.
But I am also wondering how effective these attacks really are. I have not yet seen any videos of burning Israeli tanks inside Gaza.

    Dramatic if true but
there is enough in this sentence that suggest these numbers should not be stated as facts.
Sorry to sound like a broken record. I can't help it.

Just to show how stunningly horrible the numbers of deaths in Israel-Gaza conflict are, I calculated what those numbers would be for the USA with their 340 million population. Israel has 9 million, Gaza 2 million.

7 october Hamas-attack killed 1200 Israeli's, so that would be 45.300 Americans. (FIFTEEN times all deaths from 9/11/2001).
Gaza Palestinian deaths so far 12.000, so that would be (340:2x12.000=) 2.040.000 American dead.

For those of you who don't visit the general CM2 scenario and mod section regularly: CMAutoEditor now has a CMBS profile, enabling or improving using the OSM part with CMBS. CMAutoEditor is a tool that for generating maps from elevation data and OpenStreetMap and automatically "importing" them into CM (via automatizing clicking 😉).
As an example @TheFriendlyFelon kindly allowed me to show the preview of near Robotyne, Ukraine for his upcoming campaign.

You can find more examples as well as support in the general CMAutoEditor thread.

Bulletpoint reacted to Chibot Mk IX in WAD? Bug? Trick to make the same arty spotter to call upon two separate arty requests
I am using the CMSF 2 as a showcase here as I just noticed this trick during my USMC campaign.

As you know, CMx2 only allow one arty spotter to request one fire mission. Unless it is the deployment phase, a fire mission request during the game will block other arty assets. For example, the spotter team #1 request the 155mm arty mission, and you cannot select the 120mm mortar.

However, if we select the spotter team #2 , click the requested arty assets (showing busy) and click "go to the spotter" that brings the unit panel information back to spotter #1.

And here is the trick, although other assets says, "Spotter busy", nothing stops you to select these arty assets to issue a new arty mission. The spotter will do the spotting at two different locations and later these two missions are successfully fire for effect.

    This is a bug , I guess?

I've been thinking about what Hamas and their backers are hoping to get out of this war. Because they must have known it would end up like this. They are fanatics and indifferent to human life, but I don't think they are stupid as such.
Not really sure which explanation is more correct, but I think it must be one of these two:
    1) It's basically one big suicide attack, involving the whole organisation. They are already used to do what they call "martyrdom operations", so maybe they thought they'd just all go out in a blaze of what they consider glory and take as many Israelis with them as they can. Also damage Israel's reputation by provoking them to attack civilian targets, which has already happened.
    2) Or maybe Hamas actually think they can mount a proper defence against the Israeli army. The purpose of the hostages is to prevent Israel from simply flooding their tunnels, which would be their major weak point. And then Hamas thinks they can keeping fighting and ambushing their enemies inside Gaza for a long time. Maybe indefinitely, if they can keep supplies coming in through tunnels to Egypt? So basically moving the battle to a place where they have the home advantage.

Well add to the list that infantry by side of hedge didn't see a sherman pass by in the open 20 meters away...
Or a Shreck team set back from the bocage where a Sherman drove up the other side and saw the team 1st and blew it away...
Or a Squad of German infantry had a Sherman drive 10 meters away and decide that grenades would be pointless and then they got spotted and blown away by the same Sherman that then rocked up to the bocage. It stayed at bocage a few seconds blasting at my squad before it noticed the shreck team the other side of the bocage, all the while the shreck team was smoking dope...
Such is CM and I had forgotten all the $hit happens stuff after 10 years it is all flooding back...
    The joys of CM
