  1. Oh wow that was surprising. I am glad you are up and running. There are no in store copies - only on line sales for BattleFront.
  2. Only if @Mordran creates an avatar of him with long hear, a beard and shades...
  3. LOL, unexpected answer @Aragorn2002 - it sure got some heart rates up.
  4. When CMRT was announced they said the plan was to have a game family to cover each year. CMBN, CMFB etc are each a base game for a family. Add modules to the base game for a family. So far CMFI has one module with a second one announced and CMBN has three modules. Once the module or modules are done for each CMRT base game they are planning to create a new base game for the previous year and then a module and then repeat going back a year each time. Of course that is subject to change but so far that has been the consistent message.
  5. +1 for using the evade button. It is also *the* way to get pinned troops to actually move. Just giving them a regular order might just be cancelled but using the evade button it will not. At least I have never seen it.
  6. Also check out this tool - just in case you have not seen it: http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=5186
  7. LOL I keep looking for opportunities to get things unstuck to move new content higher on the screen.
  8. Not only that but the platoon Lt does not need to be a casualty he can just be too far away.
  9. Very cool mods @Oleksandr - thanks. I just realized that the white / yellow strip that we see in pictures and on other mods is not on yours. Are the Ukrainian forces no longer using that stripe?
  10. Ah, but you are not supposed to see them. Therefore they are working great.
  11. I started some tests to look at this because there have been a few posts like yours around. There must be more going on here though because I did *not* see the behaviour you saw in my first try. I built a small map with a building complex and a single stand alone building in 3.12. Then I ran the test in both 3.12 and 4.00. Basically a US squad vs a German Platoon. Two teams are in the font building of a complex one on the first floor and one on the second floor. The third team is in the single story stand alone building near by. The Platoon HQ is in the back attached building nice and safe so everyone is in C2. The bottom line is: running this in 3.12 it takes about 6 minutes before all the US teams have withdrawn. In engine 4.00 it takes around 4 minutes. So the 4.00 engine does seems to have guys getting out of dodge earlier than previous versions. I have not run this enough to comment on casulties or how reproducible those numbers are. As for withdrawal routes there is no significant difference. I gave the guys in the building complex exits to the rear attached buildings (the best choice), out into the side yard protected by bocage (the second best choice) and wide open lawn on the other side (the sucky choice). They consistently choose the best choice and mostly crawled and sometimes ran in to the attached safe building. The guys in the single story house had no good choices just open spaces. They hold their position longer than the guys with the good withdrawl routes. When they decide to go they chose to exit out the back door (better than the front) and keep the building between them and the enemy (they cannot block all the incoming fire so they are going to die if they stay there). In the 4.0 engine they often make a break across the open space to the building complex. Which I think is actually the very best choice for those guys since they have to be in the open they might as well make a try for safety. Can you share a save game or two or the map you are using? PM me to work out details on sharing.
  12. The article about doing that I have on my FAQ post is form @StoneAge: In case anyone is wondering...
  13. However, even after what @LukeFF said don't forget that the game is set along an alternate timeline where the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is triggered because of their entry into NATO that included increased military spending on Ukraine's part prior to that trigger. So, in game terms the Ukrainien's ramped up production earlier and were using them for their own units as well as selling them. The fact that does not match what actually happened is not a reason to remove equipment.
  14. Short answer is yes. I like a variety, sometimes small sometimes large. Actually come to think of it I usually have a variety of sizes on the go at any one time. Playing WEGO means those large scenarios take time but you can treat them more like a few smaller scenarios combined into one.
  15. Which is code for make sure that you only download the full installer.
  16. I found the reference: I thought @kohlenklau had a more involved post the described it in detail but I cannot find one.
  17. When you are getting your ass handed to you it frequently feels like the other guy has super top notch troops.
  18. Very cool. Knee pads check. They defiantly would be sporting the green flags if they were going head to head with a real op for.
  19. Using the blast order. Some one did some experiments with AI orders and did get engineers to breach wire. I am not sure the exact steps - need to do some searching...
  20. That is so cool. I very much hope that a CMBS module will one day include Canadian Forces. We don't always mix it up when asked - we skipped Iraq - but we usually contribute something. Given the historic links and the current involvement in training I strongly suspect that in a hot war in Ukraine that involved NATO there would be a Canadian force contribution. Just two notes: We like the bright red maple leaf for advertising during training or if there is a peace keeping job where there is actually peace to keep but if things are hot we prefer to keep the red off the front lines and switch out to our green maple leaf flags: Even in Kandahar we had the green flags. Here are a few shots from Afghanistan (not the right coloured uniforms but same green flag): I also did not find any infantry using knee pads like that in any of my searches. I don't serve and my Dad retired in the early 90s so not much current experience but back then there were not normal wear for regular infantry.
  21. I believe that is correct. Those breach kits are small and only able to punch a small hole in a wall not move enough wire far enough to make whole. I think in game it is shown as a whole wall is destroyed which makes it feel like it should be able to handle wire but it is only an abstraction.
  22. Ouch. I am running Win10 1703 pro and have no issues (I have been on that version for months now). There is a few surprises in 1709 apparently (Capture one had to release a patch for their product to run). So, I was not rushing to go there but sounds like @rocketman is doing OK with it. If the game is letting you get to the pw screen then it is beyond a problem with Windows Defender or other AV product. What is happening after you enter your password? Are you getting a message that the pass word is wrong?
  23. LOL actually I usually ignore disgruntled people and try to keep my head down and continue my work to improve the world in my own small way. Disgruntled people are a drag on progress and those of us doing the work are making things better in spite of them not because of them.
  24. The Blitz is running two scenarios this month. Sign up for the November Scenario of the Month has started over at the Blitz. This month the scenarios are: CMRT: TWC GD Delaying Action CMFI: GL Kiwi Soldiers The form post on theBlitz for sign up.
