Agree with this.....Exported versions of the Abrams are not even close to the spec of the M1A2 SEPv2, let alone the SEPv3.  Saudi versions are alleged to be more capable than the Iraqi versions (probably why the Iraqis want T-90), but they've displayed their usual tactical genius and managed to lose quite a few.
But I also agree with this.....Modern ATGMs are just plain mean.
However the issue that is most pertinent is this:

Not quite right... Ehhh... CMBS' LWR-equipped tanks (like M1) acquire ATGM-launchers almost instanteniously. What is the basis for such a behaviour when real life LWRs (Thales, Leonardo) give you 30/45 degrees sector??? Instant target acquisition in a 30/45 degrees sector at a distance of 2-4km??? Why not have an Abrams with an ion-gun then?
And it has profound impact on the gameplay. In real life (Yemen, Syria) we see tanks being burned every time they are careless enough while facing an ATGM-armed opposition. In CMBS a platoon of Abramses can simply drive through the whole map blasting everyone around.

Of course they are not fighting ISIS, there is no ISIS in Afrin!
When I said "Of course they are" it was regarding this part of the quote: "I don't think they are claiming to be fighting ISIS". What I mean is that they are claiming to be fighting against Kurds and ISIS but there is no ISIS in Afrin.

Solved. If you have set a zoom level under display settings in Win 10 then CMA will not run at desktop resolution. Disable any zoom and it works well.
However the fonts are a bit rough at the edges.

Yes. Not just from that conflict either.
As @Vergeltungswaffe pointed out modern weapons are very deadly. As @Sgt.Squarehead pointed out some systems are speculative and BFC got some things right and other not quite. Actual experienced tankers have commented on here that those speculative systems preform in line with what they expect and the SOP of units reacting to the battle field are what they would expect as well.
So, for your question in the title the answer is very.
I predict that you are about the discover that some people don't think so and you are about to hear from some of them because I answered your question with a "very".

I keep telling people who complain about "OMG but CM has no AI, have to script" is that in the end it's all down to player's perception of AI and well made missions create a much better illusion of a smart opponent than a "dynamic" AI that still uses reaction scripts, except generic ones. In Call to Arms the key to winning AI skirmish is placing your teams into static positions just before capture points and watch AI get massacred. You can't apply the same logic to new battles in CM - you don't know what will happen. In a way you are battling an actual human opponent except the one made his moves before yours.

Okay, I just did a quick test in CMFB v2.0 Engine 4, with the StuG IIIG (early) and StuG IIIG (mid).
You must order the vehicle to unbutton first to Target Light.

In theory the ATGM carrying vehicles are good at engaging targets from a long distance. But that requires a good, uninterrupted LOS, which is not going to happen to often on most of the maps. The tank would always fire first, while the ATGM is much slower than the tank gun projectile. Plus tanks are well protected in comparison to the light vehicles, that carry ATGM. So in real terms, the tank destroyer vehicles won't be very useful. The infantry teams are much more effective because they are easier to conceal than the vehicles. In one epic, defensive battle that I played as a Stryker company against Russian mech batalion, the Javelin teams killed about 10 tanks, while all the TOW-2B Strykers got killed before they even fired at the enemy. I just don't find those vehicles very useful.

It's hard to read at that angle, but I'll give it my best (RTL - Russian as a Third Language) shot.
I was confused deeply by the layout at first, but I think the entire front of the M3 says:
"Beneath the Banner of Lenin - Forward to Victory!"
    Под
    знаменем ленина
    вперед
    к победе!
And (with comic juxtaposition, in my opinion) the side says "For Stalin!"
    Edit for explanation:
Oh, it appears to have been a relatively common phrase on propaganda posters:

Although, it is wonderfully modified in some to include Mister Iron himself.

"Under the Banner of Lenin, under the leadership of stalin - forward to the victory of communism!"

"Most buildings in the old city have two levels of basements, so even bombing a house once did not end Isis resistance – [Iraqi forces] would have to bomb it twice, or three times. So actually when you go to the old city in Mosul you don’t see streets any more. You can’t distinguish where the buildings stood and where the street was. I’ve never seen anything like it."

CMA: Soviet Early Summer Uniform By Oleksandr

This mod will provide you with khaki colored early soviet summer uniforms.

Certain details were added to early years summer uniforms.

    Pretty much everything was retextured.
Due to minimalism in provided game textures – modding this game is complicated.
But the longest work starts from the smallest step. So here we go.

Agree with the lads, it's great to CM:A getting some attention.....I don't normally use mods much, but these will be added to my game.
One mod that would make the game look better would be a replacement for the Mig-23 Air Support graphic, the current one shows a picture of a Mig-25 Foxbat.

Yeah really. If this is limited to just BF replies then they might as well lock up the thread and start a new one when they have news. Some people just go through life with a chip on their shoulder.  Anything that generates additional excitement for the products BF has commented on here is a win as far as I see it.  Looking forward to what you do next with CMSF2 @Sgt.Squarehead  Mosul was fantastic, with all the new options the next will be even more so.

    CMA: Guards BTR-60 By Oleksandr

This mod will add reworked BTR-60 to this game. These vehicles were used by Soviets in throughout the war. They were also used by DRA forces as their main apc.

Interesting fact – these BTRs were used in one of the first operation of KGB + GRU special forces in Afghanistan – Palace of Amin Assault .

It was then when Soviets understood that jumping off this thing wasnt very safe. In that operation few KGB special forces operators died specifically because of the design of these things.

Yet, operation itself was a major success for Soviets. According to Soviet side sources soviets lost only 20 men (5 KGB operators, 9 paratroopers, 6 members of “Muslim” battalion) while killing nearly 800 men (400 men according to western sources) from Amins security forces, including himself and 2 of his sons. Obviusly such kill/death ratio became possible because certain factors were involved – massive usage of supressive fire provided by Shilkas, and additional support from BMP’s.
Anyhow this vehicle is still in use today in many countries, and I hope that you will enjoy this fresh look during your personal Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
    Enjoy!

Am excited you have enthusiasm for CMA.  As Sgt Squarehead and others noted, CMA is a great change of pace and a different experience from the other CM2 titles.
Hope you are aware that there are a significant number of uniform mods already available - nearly all soviet (Para; Spetznaz; .Mech Inf; Tankers etc.)  I have about 20 .brz folders of Soviet troops plus others.  Don't want you trying to "reinvent the wheel" so can send em to you if you can't find em.
The Afghan Army uniforms and skins are the ones that desperately need improving.

I look at it this way. You probably just avoided calling in an air strike which would drop one bomb, miss and then declare “i’m Winchester” at which point you’d probably drop kick your pc.  CM just saved you the cost of a pc. You are welcome.
