  1. Errr.....No! In the hands of Cuban pilots in Angola it made life utterly miserable for South Africa: https://theaviationgeekclub.com/mig-23-vs-mirage-f-1-when-cuban-flown-angolan-floggers-clashed-with-south-african-mirages/
  2. Ooooh.....Are we doing inappropriate quotes now? Here's one for you:
  3. TBH I don't have the slightest problem with Korean War style human-waves.....But I'd prefer to see them in a game about the Korean War.
  4. Do you know for sure that the T-34 didn't have 'little friends' helping with the spotting?
  5. @kohlenklau IIRC @37mm found a resource with these files that he used for 'H&E', maybe he can help? PS - 'H&E' FAC's are really chatty too, in both US English & Vietnamese!
  6. You can already kind of do that.....I often double click to select all units in a platoon I want to move in convoy. Then I plot the move of the lead vehicle. I then select the second vehicle, give it a 15 second pause and adjust its waypoints to match the first by dragging them. Give the third vehicle a thirty second pause & repeat the process, etc. etc. You need 'Show All Move Paths' turned on (Alt-P) to get the best from this.
  7. Setting off IEDs is one of my pet past-times in CM:SF2. I'm pretty sure it was the wall that saved them.....Strangely the blast left the interior wall of one building intact, but destroyed the interior wall of the adjacent building that was on the other side of it. I think that wall may have been hit by an RPG that came through the window earlier. Considering all the explosions going off around them, my pixeltruppen are holding up remarkably well!
  8. Very cool indeed.....Really like the wrecks.
  9. Large IED 3m away....."Pah! We use bigger things than that for clearing snow!" Four men lightly wounded.....The other half of this squad are in the building just the other side of the blast and didn't take a scratch!!
  10. Agreed (on all points).....The CCP might actually need a war to divert attention from the economic black hole they are staring into. C'mon @Battlefront.com.....You didn't give us all those amphibious vehicles just for river crossings, did you?
  11. Nobody loves poor SLUF. Mind you, when you are named after this dude: You have a lot to live up to.
  12. "Hey Sarge, I think there might be an IFV, one of those really big ones with an auto cannon & thermal imagers & everything, parked just around the corner.....Want me to take a peek?"
  13. Sweet.....Where can I grab them? (Your Finn Mod folder shows as empty). I'm on the third mission of @dragonwynn's campaign, we're about to counterattack at night with lots of StuGs and what feels like not enough infantry. I forsee a lot of urban re-modelling as we advance!
  14. Tried this again recently.....Stopped the first assault dead with absolutely no losses to our force. I dropped 120mm PGMs on the Russian artillery spotter and killed him and I used sneakily placed ATGMs to destroy or immobilise all the Russians tanks, without loss to the ATGM teams! Then I got overconfident and my infantry died in droves! Tactical Defeat. Still a brilliant challenge. PS - @Pete Wenman There are a couple of buildings on the map that do not have any doors at all, the two I found are in the area just north of Block Bravo.....Small single floor with no access at all, you are either in or out: Medium two floor building, accessible only via the roof, which will get your pixeltruppen killed every time in this scenario: It looks like both of these buildings were meant to interconnect with the buildings adjacent to them, but some clicks went missing, as they are so often wont to do on maps of this type (so many clicks)! I'm going to make a fixed version for my own use, as I suspect it WILL make a big difference to the fight.....There's no back door to several of the buildings that look like they were meant to interconnect, notably the big five floor one seen in both images, which turns them into death-traps. PS - IMHO attatching a Breach Team to each Ukrainian rifle platoon could make the world of difference to this scenario.....I may make a modified version to test the theory.
  15. MiG.23's biggest problem was Egypt. Hind is indeed incredibly famous.....If you type 'Hind' into Google images, you get lots of pictures of helicopters and very few of deer.
  16. @kohlenklau It's actually a conversion for CM:RT.....My Xmas scenario is set in December 1943 and represents a Partisan raid on a supply depot. My usual format for this is to have a vehicle to spawn 'loaded with supplies' a certain length of time into the scenario start. If the player has done his job and secured the Occupy Objective and cleared the route to the Exit Zone, he should be able to drive the supplies to safety and win the scenario. If he hasn't, the truck will be destroyed and he will lose the scenario. However it seems that CM:RT Partisans have no access to vehicles whatsoever and as we can't crew swap in these games there's no way to give them transport unless I attatch something from the Soviet or German lists, neither of which is entirely satisfactory as either the truck or driver is out of place.....I can live with a Soviet driver, I've already mixed a few Soviet troops into the Partisan force to give them a more rag-tag appearance, but I'd rather not use a Soviet (or lend-lease) truck. What I'd like to do is to drop the German Opel Blitz model and all skins (including winter) into a [Partisan] tagged mod that would replace the Soviet Studebaker truck when the tag is used in a scenario.
  17. I think so. Hard to be sure. Either that or trolling.
  18. @kohlenklau Could you advise how to replace the CM:RT Soviet Studebaker Truck model & skins with the German Opel Blitz (tagged for Partisan use, as they have no vehicles)? Tried to PM you, but apparently you can't receive them?
  19. Jeeps! Or Kubelwagens. Not that I am actually against the idea of motorcycles (& Combos) TBH.
  20. Missed this.....That's either the best news ever, or the worst, depending on who does it and how it's done. I do think that his novel 'Against A Dark Background' would make a truly awesome movie.....It's not a conventional Culture story (although I believe it to be related) and some of the ideas in it could be truly awesome with modern CGI effects.
  21. Indeed, very unwieldy, but deemed neccessary because of the IS-3 & T-10.....I'd love to see an older Cold War with all of these heavies and some of our old friends from WWII too.
