I have.....My map's not much bigger but it'll take a bit longer than that to pick your way through it.

Allegedly they were after the new naval Enigma machine (The Battle Of The Atlantic was Britain's No.1 priority).....All the usual characters too, it's an interesting tale, but I believe a fair chunk may still be classified.

That I think is the crux of it, but we should probably recall that Taiwan isn't exactly steeped in military glory either.....AFAIK their greatest achievement was getting off the mainland before the communists caught up with them. The question then comes back to 'what, if anything, is the US prepared to do about it?' PS - Dieppe doesn't count.....We had other motivations for the operation and from that perspective Dieppe was absolutely a success. Hard on the Canadians though.

The new film only covers the first half of the first book, but it does so in great detail and it's very close to the book.....To set the tone, let's have some Sardaukar throat singing: You have to admit, compared to these guys, Imperial Stormtroopers look like the Girlscouts!

I finally got properly underway, CM:RT, Soviet Probe/Attack vs. AI, 320m x 320m, mixed-terrain (edge of a small industrial city), December 1944, conditions.....Truly s****y! Provisional title 'Merry Xmas Fritz!'.....It's a cheerful little thing!

I liked the first book too.....Things went a bit downhill after that. PS - Cheer yourself up with Dune!

It's a bit lacking in tropical terrain right now.....But that can easily be fixed.

Can we ditch limitations on size & duration please, enter whatever we like? CM can do so many different types of simple scenario, it's a shame to limit things to a tiny squabble.

I suspect we owe you thanks for poring over those (& countless others) prior to certain recent releases.

That may be the understatement of the century! I've been advised to put 'health warnings' on some of my scenarios where the AI lets loose with a full scale and sustained barrage! I've levelled whole city blocks and killed every last living thing in them!
