  1. Mosul under ISIS: http://jihadintel.meforum.org/203/unseen-islamic-state-regulations-for-the-mosul
  2. They wouldn't cause much damage to the tank anyway.....Ten minutes with a hose and a stiff broom, good as new!
  3. I reckon I was even slower.....Methodical exploration of the environment and maximum focus on each replay turn is definitely the way forward.
  4. +1.....Next round's on me. Felt the same way about the .50cal vs 40mm Strykers, unless something had really annoyed me, in which case it's AGL death, or if I was really cross, 'The BTR Of Doom!'.
  5. You can ID the broader units, but actual current TOE is probably rather fluid. In one of the videos infantry are waiting for BMPs to arrive, perhaps the surviving vehicles are centrally pooled? Who knows?
  6. Hold on.....Over in the CM:SF forum you lot were telling me there was no problem whatsoever with NATO readiness.....Make your bloody minds up!
  7. Cheers dude, looks like Modelcollect were right to turn out their T-80BVD kit after all: http://www.modelcollect.com/t-80bvd-main-battle-tank
  8. Yeah, figured as much.....I put a sniper based on Abu Tahseen in Mosul, but sadly he was martyred shortly after I competed it, so it's become my small tribute to him: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Tahsin_al-Salhi
  9. Meaning what exactly.....Upgraded T-80UDs? As far as I can tell Ukraine sold all but a handful of its fleet to Pakistan (320 sold of about 350 IIRC). Or are Ukraine perhaps doing their own upgrade of the T-80BV, along the lines of Russia's new T-80BVM?
  10. So did you play Mosul yet? I put something in there for your amusement.....Just don't get him killed.
  11. I reckon having your troops equipped with broomsticks at the lower equipment quality levels would add a whole new challenge to the game for Blue.
  12. Yeah.....Kit manufacturers like to get every penny from their tooling, but with stuff like that Modelcollect BMP available for more or less the same price, who's really going to buy it?
  13. Cheers lads.....All a bit academic for me right now as my p00ter just shuffled off this mortal coil..... PS - My nephew uninstalled CMTouch on the iPad, so I'm totally CMless.....Probably do my modelling some good I suppose.
  14. Wow.....They got mugged! Impressed they got out of that without losses. Is that Beta 5 or 6?
  15. I've noticed this behaviour in my own testing.....I'm sure there is another discussion of this subject somewhere. It seems that the AI doesn't recognise the significance of a reverse move order and that even adding a face order doesn't prevent the unwanted facing change toward the new waypoint. PS - Editing comments on an iPad is a nightmare.
  16. V4 bug just is not an issue in this scenario.....Hence my vitriolic response to comments suggesting that it makes CM:BS unplayable, or that writing scenarios for it is futile while the bug exists. This is the best CM:BS scenario out there, by quite some margin IMHO......Sadly my p00ter has died so I can't play it right now.
  17. Interesting & considered perspective @kinophile, can't say I disagree except perhaps with your definition of the objectives of some of these 'scuffles'.
  18. If you Google 'Russian Wooden Churches' you will find whole sites dedicated to these buildings.....The internet's a bit like that.
  19. It's a shame that CM T-72s (& tanks in general) don't have proper smoke-generators.....Your dash would probably have worked out differently had your tanks been leaving whopping trails of smoke in their path (as they should TBH).
  20. Here's one for the modellers amongst us.....This 1/72 scale kit has no aftermarket parts on it whatsoever, this is what you can build straight out of the box (if you are good): Gents, we've come a long, long way from Airfix, Revell & Monogram!
  21. I've tried 'speed-running' this.....Didn't go well. There is so much going on it is easy to miss things that might prove to be very important, or offer useful opportunities. As @General Jack Ripper says, this is probably better viewed as a 'one-shot-campaign', to be played over an extended period in multiple sessions.....Realistically that's the only way with this one, but it suits the nature of the battle beautifully.
