  1. Been there a few times and am 100% behind repair. There is far too much history there to let it go (and I don’t have a religious bone in my body). Anyone ever go to Sainte Chapelle down the street? Really beautiful stain glass there that doesn’t get the same attention.
  2. it was staged, look closely they are all actors... At 3:33 that is Tom Hanks. You may remember him appearing in a CMBN action where he got the moniker "tube guy".
  3. I thought this was a pic of the CMSF launch......that is Michael on the end pushing someone off.
  4. Yeah that is totally different than how the US Congress behaves......
  5. Yeah that alone is enough for Steve to bounce you. Your choice as to whether you want to stay here.
  6. There has been progress, but because it doesn't seem to meet your standard you usually spend your time banging away at it.
  7. no difference than having a federal state. Eventually we humans are gonna have to figure out how to stop behaving like a bunch of idiots and learn how to manage to get along.
  8. you've been down this road before. I know folks want an update from Steve about the patch but in all likelihood comments like yours will draw his attention sooner. He has a low tolerance for Russian whataboutism and excuses for their intervention in Ukraine. One way or another this thread will head to being closed. Haiduk posted a factual comment on Russian equipment showing up in Ukraine that is not supposed to be there and it getting possibly hit by an arty strike. That isn't an opinion just a statement of events. Going off on a tangent argument again by both sides as to the politics of being there isn't going to last very long. Just sayin.
  9. a mod program does the same thing so arguing less effort on drive doesn't reflect that the only difference is a manual process versus a program doing it. If you are moving twice a day I would suggest having two separate installs and then launching whichever game you want for which mod set. Then you aren't moving files, and don't need a mod manager. I assume you are doing this for 2 different PBEM games otherwise not sure why you are flipping mods so often.
  10. I put all the mods I use all the time in the main documents mods directory and then either swap specific mod selections that are kept in their own unique folders into that folder or do a separate game install and use the data folder (I only do that if I have an ongoing campaign with specific units and want to maintain a whole set of unit specific uniforms, Mord's UI files etc.) Drag folder to folder is just about as easy as it gets. Using a program to do it isn't going to be faster as you still need to open that program and make selections etc. The hard part is simply organizing your mod files in a logical manner that makes using them easier. Unlike some folks who have so many that are haphazardly organized that they don't even know what they have and what is loaded.... I also keep all my mods on a separate drive so I don't accidentally delete my only copy if I remove them from the game folder. As an example I have a folder for the TF Spartan resolve Mod pack. When I want to use it I just drag it over. When I don't I delete it from the game folder. I can't imagine any program will make that work easier. Basically the same as Lord Protector there.
  11. I understand Gilgamesh actually threw Emery’s 60th.
  12. I am about halfway through the first volume, amazingly detailed and very frank assessment. Best read about the war I have come across outside unit specific books. The information on the insurgency itself is far more detailed than anything else I have come across.
  13. Or they are a war gamer unsatisfied with graviteam games. Not all games are for everyone fortunately we have choices. I play with a very infantry centric view in CM. Graviteam doesn’t scratch my itch.
  14. Look at all things graviteam games don’t do versus CM and you will find your answer young Jedi.
  15. Graviteam is a very bad example to use for what CM should do, I won’t even consider shelling out for that game.
  16. Is that a challenge for the Peng thread? Dang man.
  17. Oh that is mean. Now you have to hold the radio station until they are freed, cool. Man I am really desperate for some CM time. Traveling again and this scene has me just cracking up. Every now and then someone posts about a misplaced flavor item. Ha. It isn’t misplaced, it is just a lousy work crew. Check this out - a slight “flavor item” issue on the highway ramp
  18. one wonders why it is Madmatt and not MadMatt, if it is MadBot and not Madbot. Yeah it has been a long night.
  19. Combat Mission:Bullet train is not on CM's list last I checked.
  20. any player who hasn't surrendered when they have no units left is just messing with your head, Likely they would have surrendered even before that point. Sounds more like they just don't like you and wanted to torture you a bit.
  21. Not sure when I will get to this, but really looking forward to it. Ambitious first effort @Zveroboy1 Hats off to you.
  22. It does not which is one major reason you won’t see flares anytime soon. You can verify this by simply moving troops near a burning wreck and check spotting. It would be majorly cool to have and also skylining units on crests, but doubtful we will see.
  23. Not really, that would be some awesome video to watch! I still recall a little Vignette in an AAR where a 3 man team got into a short firefight with an opposing team over a hedgerow that was outstanding cool to watch. Exhausted, short of ammo with a team leader that tried to surrender and the third team member shot, the lone pixeltruppen overcame his opponents with the judicious use of a couple hand grenades.
  24. It could also have been simply a poor choice of words.
  25. Yeah that first section was actually funny as hell. Probably unnecessary but I enjoyed it a lot as a bit of fun poking at the doom sayers.
