  1. Also, make sure your signed into the BF Forums so you can use the Edit Feature.
  2. Yes, and it does look better and has that FOG effect. This Mod is something that I will use on a permanent basis (and play test on a long term basis ) against the AI and take out against Human Opponents ( unless that Opponent also has the Mod )... Thanks again, Harry, for discovering this Mod.
  3. Go WWII, and don't look back...err, I mean forward :-) Joe
  4. Thanks again for your explanation, Harry, and this is interesting for sure. Yes, I have downloaded your Mod from GAJ and will be play testing as time goes by...So far it does "look" a little more realistic compared to stock ( not that it was that bad to begin with, but ), but having the greater possibility of 3D interaction is even better. Thou, you do wonder, if the above is true, why would BF make the original 'Cower' Stance be given a slightly better chance of getting hit compared to 'Prone' ? ( if that's indeed the case )...Maybe the 3D interaction is not exactly as we think and the 'Cower' or 'Prone' Trooper occupies the same type Hit Box with same chance of getting hit ( but 'Cower' penalized more so for spotting, etc )...Or, maybe one or the other Stance has a better "Savings Throw" ( using the same type Hit Box ) compared to the other.....Just some things to ponder I guess.
  5. It turns out there are also way to many G43 Rifles in the standard German Inf Platoon (Reg, Grenadier, & Fusiler)...There should be an average of one G43 per Platoon (maybe by Bulge you could increase one per Squad). I only play Platoon up to Reinforced Company size engagements... If I play a Platoon, then I have to remedy this issue by purchasing the Sicherungs or Ersatz Battalion (deleting the rest), making the one Inf Platoon 80% Strength and adding an LMG Team per Squad (semi-attached since they can't physically)...No G43's, but that's ok. If it's a Inf Company, then I do the same above, but will go ahead and delete one of the Platoons in the Company and substitute it with a Standard or Grenadier Inf Platoon...that way there are a few G43's in the Company as a whole. Joe
  6. hello Daz, PM Sent regarding a PBEM Opponent... Joe
  7. I'm wondering thou ( as some might suggest ) if BF uses the 'Cower' position, ( hugging or scouring the ground ) as a form of cover and the actual Animation "Look" itself doesn't make any difference ( BF just needed to come up with something that players can relate to ). If this is the case, then no matter what we change the position you give the 'Cower' ( Stand, Kneel, Prone ) then the 'Hit' Boxes only take into account as if the actual position is laying down. So, then what about Spotting, does it only take into account the 'Cower' position or the position that we can artificially give them...I don't know ?
  8. I know that in my Table-Top Wargaming days Soft-Skined Vehicles where severely hampered in their movement over Rough/Rocky Terrain...Which is about half what it is in the WWII CMx2 title. Joe
  9. Hello Jon, PM sent regarding a PBEM Opponent... Joe
  10. Don't forget there was also the M1 Garand ROF increase...So ?
  11. Yes, this is correct... It's still interesting that these 'Combat Conditions' are still having SMG's hitting a target with only 5-10 bullets at 50 meters ( far to high of a casualty rate )...even if a unit is in flat open terrain ( remember, it's suppose to be Combat Conditions, and units are taking extra cover ). Could increasing the so called 'Savings Roll' (troops moving in and out of cover, etc that Animations don't show) help with the above... I don't know. I also wonder if the settle increase of 'Small Arms' ROF in the previous engine ( MG's & Rifle ) be part of the issue ? and we didn't pay attention enough until RT came out, and then the "WOW" factor ( now that we see more SMG's in the Squads ).
  12. Hello Cpt.Cakes, PM Sent regarding an PBEM Oppponent... Joe
  13. The Soviets shot about 2,7 shots/s/man, reload 8-9s, time per mag 12-16s, 5.6 shots/cas The Germans shot about 2 shots/s/man, reload 8s, time per mag 7-8s, 5.1 shots/cas WOW, and only using 5-6 bullets per casualty is exceedingly far to high ( now, if you put a 0 in front of those numbers, then it be ok )...It's no wonder I think SMG's are far to accurate in CMx2.
  14. Try using a Scope at Point-Blank Range, and you will surprised to hit anything...Now, I'm suprised he was able to hit nearly 50%.
  15. Now try that in CMFI, and watch WOP Inf easily Close Assault that Matilda II. Joe
  16. Poesel, Like others said, do tests outside Nad range...Line up an average German & Russian Squad ( better yet a whole Platoon each side ), both sides Green ( +1 Leadership & +1 Motivation each squad ) at say 40 meters ( then again at 100 meters ) behind a Low Hedge, at 15 minutes turns ( keep track of casualties every 5 minutes if you want ) . It's not just the SMG's That I like to see, but the overall casualties for both sides. Joe
  17. You said you updated to v1.12 the latest...This comes across to me as meaning you recently updated to v1.12
  18. Wow, you must have a really old version of CMBO in order to update it to v1.12...I remember it being fully updated by end of 01' As I remember there is only the 'Weather' option in 'Quick Battles'...However, if you use the 'Create Scenario' then you will notice the 'Ground Conditions' option your looking for. Joe
  19. Not sure myself, but hope that Tiring through Exhausted have firing and spotting penalties. Joe
  20. Well, that sounds disconcerting...I never paid attention and would've assumed Arty had different damage effects in each type of Terrain. Joe
  21. You Rock...Harry :-) Anything to make the game function more realistically works for me...Now, we need for you to continue and find other ways to change animations in order to reduce casualties to a more realistic level. Joe
  22. Ah, you installed the patch in the middle of a PBEM Game ? ( installed New Video in middle of game shouldn't matter ), and could be part of the problem. I remember that it was mentioned to either finish a Game before both sides updated to same version or had to wait until the next PBEM turn in order for the updated version to take affect...Something along those lines. It's also possible that one Scenario you had larger Mortars that use the 'Deploy Weapon' Command, and the other Scenario used Light Mortar detachments that don't use the 'Deploy Weapon' Command ( Platoon Mortars such as Brit 2" & German 50 mm ).
  23. Ok, as IanL has pointed out the 3.11 Master Installer is all you should need (it encompasses 3.10, 3.11 & Vehicle Pack)...BF Link Below: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_versions&Itemid=317#CombatMission: Battle for Normandy
