Right.  This is the "run towards the enemy" bug.  Here a two threads mentioning it but there are other places it's been noted too; Irrational Behaviour and Annoying withdrawal towards the enemy behaviour.  As I best recollect, it was fixed in all the titles except CMBN and has something to do with the TacAI in bocage terrain.

So this Kiwi breach team blew open a wall and - thanks to fortuitous turn-timing which allowed me to catch them just before they rushed in - they shot a whole bunch of Jerries as they were cowering on the ground (8 casualties recorded at game's end). I was reminded of the discussion on another thread about the relative effectiveness of bolt-action rifles. With a cold-blooded killer behind it, every gun can be deadly.
It was brutal to watch - in 2019 it would be a war crime.

That was the previous QB - this is the current one. French infantry, engineers and Spahis (recon troops with Stuarts) running up the slopes of the Gustav Line to bust it open and save the boys at Anzio.

If charging a small fee for the upgrades in any way helps BFC to continue making these updates i have no problems what so ever to spend my money on this...
I just wish they could produce more of them...faster ! 😁
But unfortunatelly that would cost even more money i guess..

Propaganda is aimed on the national scope.  What good does it do to pump up the reputation of a single 1st Lt stuck in a strategic backwater (Colmar Pocket)?  In order to believe that, you would have to accept that the higher ups engaged in a conspiracy to force literally 100-150 men to lie under oath.  Then these same people would all go to their graves keeping it a secret.  To the general public, Murphy is known as a B movie actor who starred in Westerns in the 1950's.  The people who testified would certainly recognize him.....would you keep that secret?  Imagine the tabloid $$$ available.

The better part of B for Baker/15th Infantry watched Murphy really do that.  No conspiracy needed.  Underestimate the short and scrawny kids at your own peril.

Okay. I guess we have reached a parting of the ways. That is a fact of life and I have had more of them than I can recall, let alone count. Well, good luck on your new course, and if you ever come this way again, the door will still be open.

Myles Keogh got a reaction from JM Stuff in Arracourt
From its last page, it got shelved due to time constraints.
Also, I remember another one of its creators saying in a different thread that he stepped away due to frustrations caused by single-player TacAI problems introduced by the 4.0 upgrade.  Those problems did not get resolved until 2.5 years later by a patch that introduced additional TacAI problems. (The 4.0 upgrade and its ridiculously delayed and flawed "01" patch do NOT rank among BF's finer moments.)
By then, though, this project appeared to have been abandoned.  A shame.

Yeah and lets just be clear. that is a nazi apologists site.
"If the German Army acted with absolute disregard for the Geneva Conventions of 1929 pertaining to prisoner of war (POW), the Allies, Soviet Russia, America and British acted little better." Like **** they did. Maybe the Russians gave little quarter - but to even suggest any kind of equivalence for the western allies is nothing but perverse.
"It has been established that half of US documented accounts of WW2 are embellished as falsified lies, cover-ups to deviate from the truth of the horrific and despicable War Crimes committed by the US Army which makes them no better then the Nazis, Japanese & Russians."
    Really ?
you only have to read several articles there to see the agenda.
You should be ashamed of posting that ****ing garbage.

Grenade attacks on tanks are very effective in this game. The grenades represent an inclusion of RPG, gammon bombs, stick bundles in the mix in which case its possible to disable a tank, or KO. Although anti personnel frags shouldn't do anything to a tank that's buttoned. It often comes down to last tank standing. But they still have to keep their distance from infantry to stay alive. Its difficult to maneuver suicidal infantry attacks on a tank but there are ways with a little distraction and luck.

Bolshie lover?  uhhhhh, the wehrmacht et al killed around 25M folks in soviet russia.  Russia did not attack germany.  So yes let's 'honor' them??  for a war of murder and extermination??  Hitler's plan was for the enslavement, banishment or murder of 160M people.  So yes, the russian invasion was certainly a most 'honorable' endeavor.  As long as we all agree that those 160M weren't actually people, but some sort of subhuman eastern hordes like all those twisted german memoirs always say (I've read piles of them).
The last stand of the wehrmacht was utter madness, not something honorable.  It was the reckoning of their murderous actions.  Having said that, I am really looking forward to fighting on the Oder and in Hungary.  As either side.  Yes, well, I have to reconcile that somehow.....
And having said that, I am currently fighting through Blunting the Spear as wehrmacht, so where do I really go with this......

The things you are suggesting aren't really needed within the time frame of most CM missions. Also, a hypothetical mission which supported these features wouldn't necessarily be more fun to play in my humble opinion.

The British army has a medical procedures guide that you can carry with you. Basically says you shouldn't attempt to do anything if you, or the area containing the casualty is under fire. That covers most CM situations, and even when there's enough peace and quiet to do some triage etc.. I think the way it's abstracted in the game is fine already.

I thought this was a neat little encounter from the last scenario I played:
I ran a full platoon of Germans up to a stone wall and unexpectedly bumped into a bunch of Soviet stragglers hiding on the other side just a few feet away. Two Germans were gunned down immediately and a point blank firefight broke out.

One of the Germans dropped down and tossed a grenade over the wall.

The Soviet soldier tried to duck down but the grenade landed literally right underneath him. He went prone directly on top of the grenade, covering it with his body when it exploded.

The rest of the Soviet troopers were shot pretty quickly, with no further casualties among the Germans.

I couldn't be sure how many more of them were hiding behind the wall though, so tanks and more infantry were rushed forward in the next turn.

The fight only lasted a minute or so in the end. I don't think I had ever seen someone toss a grenade at an enemy so close to them in this game before. He could have reached out and touched the other guy. Usually grenades are thrown pretty far and not very accurately either.

CMFI Rome to Victory force structure and TO&E became so daunting that it pretty much broke one of our 'workers in the vineyard' and very nearly broke Steve too. It will probably influence BFC's future decision making. I don't think they want to experience another R2V. (for example, don't expect a single years-spanning North Africa title from them). R2V isn't merely adding some equipment and moving up the timeframe, its a lot more.
The R2V French are given the option of colonial (North African) troops or actual French guys. Original French equipment is interspersed among the troops. They're carrying the old M1917 Enfield rifle (new to the game) and the French FM 24/29 lmg. Officers carry a French pistol too, I believe. Their armor gets their own markings. So they're not just copies of Americans with a name change,

If it's an interactive war movie you're looking for, then playing WEGO with the ability to really get up close and personal with the camera, and also watch cool action on instant replay should be the motivating factor. Your statement here doesn't make sense.
Be honest. Playing in realtime mode requires you to separate yourself from the minute detail to maintain overall situational awareness.
Unless you prefer playing with little more than a platoon at a time.
Everyone I see who records gameplay in real time is forced to remain in a birds-eye view, with maybe a brief zoom into a key piece of action before being forced to zoom back out to maintain awareness. If your idea of an interactive war movie is to watch unit icons march across a field, maybe you are the one looking for an animated 3d board game.

Most of those guys are full of sh*t. They get mad when someone calls them out for acting like dicks. And that's exactly how a lot of them act. It has nothing to do with criticism and everything to do with attitude. I get so sick of hearing about the poor martyrs that are forced to post on other boards because this one is just so unwelcoming. Most of them just want a place they can bash the game without any repercussion or blow back. Some of them have even been banned from here because they can't function like normal humans. I think this forum is pretty dang friendly. And I like it here a 1000 times more than when I first joined.
Yeah, I know that you don't completely share their views but I am just pointing it out. And again, sburke wasn't talking to you. He was talking about the other guy so that's a bad example.

I will support any company that produces good games, communicates to its customers, and is honest.  HPS, for POA2, is none of those.  I have managed multiple large and small programming projects in the industrial space.  If HPS was treating a business customer like they have treated their POA2 customers, they would have been sued out of existence.
I suspect you didn't even look at those links did you?  Take a look.  In development since 2003.  Then take a look at 2018 posts on dogsofwar.  Their new white knight is complaining about the same stuff from 2005.  Tell me what us customers should do?  Should we just let someone like you come in and start this all over again?  Won't happen.
I can't believe you of all people, who nitpicks BFC to death, would give HPS a pass on this.  Lets look at what BFC has accomplished since 2003 with CM.  Released CMAK, all CMBN modules, CMFI, CMSF (twice), CMBS, CMRT, and all the numerous upgrades and feature adds.  HPS released dozens of beta updates and it still doesn't work right.
So, I am going over to the HPS forums and see if you are over there nitpicking.  Oh wait...they don't have forums because they don't communicate with customers.  So why don't you stick around here, nitpick BFC some more and try to convince everyone here to buy a 16-year old broken game with no future.
    /Rant mode off
One thing I will do from now on is every time you have a complaint about a CM game, I'll ask how it works in POA2.  I'll ask what kind of response you got from the devs.

Yeah, it probably should be in the General Discussion forum.  But let's face it, it is probably a good advertisement for them.  The only games getting significant mention are:
A game that has been rehashed and relaunched a dozen time (Close Combat)
A game that, at its heart is a military tank procedural trainer (Steel Beasts)
A game that ended up being a rip off after 16 years of development (POA2)
A game built by a Ukrainian team that could have the potential if they put their mind to it, but most likely won't. (Graviteam)
and a few odds and ends.
And none of them really compare directly, feature for feature.

According to BF, that issue now only exists in CMBN due to some conflict between a certain type of bocage and the retreat logic code.  Since none of the other CMx2 titles have bocage then it should not be seen in those other games.
Currently playing a CMFI scenario and have so far not seen it.
