    Hi
    Just watched the movie "Fury" - and was pleasantly surprised. It was quite a bit better than I had expected.
     
    Anyway, some of the great shots in the movie inspired me to make a couple of new splash backgrounds from screenshots from Fury (see thumbnails)
     
    Get them at greensasjade´s (consider giving them a try - even if you hate the movie )

    I am putting the finishing touches on a campaign for CM Black Sea. It is a narrative driven campaign similar to my CMBN In the Fields Where the Poppies Grow and CMRT The Cross of Iron. I am looking for a few playtesters to check it out and report any bugs or make suggestions to improve it before publishing it.
     
    It is a infantry driven campaign that dipicts actions by the Ukrainian 79th Air Mobile Brigade under the command of Captain Demitry Koval. Though armor plays a role in the campaign it is centered around 3 companies of this brigade and their actions against pro-russian separatists.
     
    As with my previous campaigns it is important to read all the briefs and  designer notes as these drive the story. Also there are modtags and a folder with the needed mods in it in the download.
     
    I need a few fellow players to give it a spin and let me know:
     
    Is the difficulty level and balance ok
    Are there any bugs such as out of place units or units doing idiotic stuff.
    Is the immersion level satisfactory to the campaign.
    And any other things that need improving.
     
    If anyone is interested let me know and I will PM you a drpbox link with the campaign and mods

    Your AA units will fire on anything that comes in range.

    CAS will find its targets by flying over, deciding what they just saw, attacking it, missing it wildly, and then go home and report complete success.

    You can hide and it may or may not help, but you can't avoid blue on blue. That is going to happen with air attacks on occasion.

    The Translucent trees mod v2.0 doesn't work in RT. It has 5% far and near and 10% far and near, which was nice.

    No name in the readme and I don't recall who made this one, but I'm hating not having it.

    I would go as far as to say I miss this more than any other mod of the many I use, which surprised me when I put some thought into it.

    Show trunks only at close range is horrible, imho, and I'm not about to play with trees off.

    Anyway, I hope someone with the necessary skills will see this and make it happen.

    Lots of empty space in there, so many penetrations will do relatively little.
     
    With regard to reaction, my HT's get the wind up and back away big time when they come under ATR fire.
     
    My opponents and I don't use any vehicle crew motivation higher than normal though, as we all agree that the higher level crews don't behave like real human beings.  
     
    If your crews are highly motivated, they may not do much in the face of ATR fire, being supermen and all.

    I actually have a map just made for urban ops. It has no AI plans or set up zones, I only made it to see what I could do with the editor. I think it turned out pretty well.

    Jesus. Not again. They have given us the greatest game ever, things I dreamed of as a young gamer and all it seems some want to do is bitch and moan about it.
    This model keeps them in business , harking back to cmx1 days is just futile and dumb. Play the games and if you don't like it keep it to yourself.

    The following pack has 3 quick battle ready maps, based on the one posted above, suited for meeting engagement only (deploy areas in the corners NE/SW).
    All versions have the same size and deploy areas but more objectives (small has 1 objective, medium has 3, large has 5). all objectives are of the occupy type (point values in brackets).
    It's up to you to decide what version to play with, just keep in mind that the size is the same. For example: if you want to play a small battle with few forces, the small versions with only 1 victory location in the middle would be best suited to avoid dispersion. At the same time, if you play a huge battle with large forces the large version gives you not only that big objective in the middle but 4 more minor objectives around the map, but you might still want to play with just 1 objective, it's up to you.
     
    Important: this quick battle map pack is intended ONLY for player versus player games.

    The Soviets wouldn't have even had an air force to speak of after the first month or two. As for ground forces, if you add up the US, UK and and French troops in Europe on VE day they are nearly a match for the Red Army.
