waffelmann
That's my understanding, too. But I think for this difference is this: "...Black AFV Crew, Grey AFV Crew..." For what there is infantry? Crew of HT? greetings, alex

Sequoia
I could have sworn I read in the Wehrmacht Uniform thread that Senior German Officers will have different uniforms.
gibsonm
And how many “senior” officers are you going to find in a tactical location? Most Companie engagements don’t require an Oberst (at a minimum) to be in attendance.
Sequoia
But I assume they exist in the game just like they did for CMSF. It doesn't matter if they have different uniforms or not to me but I thought I read that some where. It would actually support Steve's point that there are as many if not more uniform types in CM:BN than in CM:SF.

Bil Hardenberger
Well I haven’t seen any Panzer Generals or Field Marshals recently. What? Mark you must have missed the Patton vs Rommel scenario, each in their own tank duking it out.
waffelmann
Hmmmm...I summarize: Grey AFV Infantry - are probably not senior officers - but maybe (gray-)aliens Now I have to admit I am really curius... greetings, alex
Sequoia
I really did not make this up you all. , though perhaps I'm misunderstanding what Steve meant here and this only refers to what is moddable. #3 we don't have breaches on any model, but we do have unique textures for junior and another set for senior officers. Which means you can have an older style green collared tunic (M36/M40) without it showing up for regular soldiers. Steve
Battlefront.com
Yup, the game is setup to handle things this way. Whether we have the model in yet or not, I don't remember! We're only now getting the textures in so it's kinda hard to tell since the model is the same as the regular soldier. Steve
Cambronne
But Can we "give" by modding the BMPs a different color to the uniform of the Füsiliers than that of the Grenadiers? Yes...yes...not historical I know, but is it possible?
Mord
Oops misunderstood your post. If they are separate BMPs for them you could make each one different. Mord.

akd
Sorry Mord, you misunderstood me. There is no Sherman IIC in CMBN not because it is "missing," but because it never should have been in CMBO in the first place. It is not included, nor will it ever be, afaik. Also, you've still got the Humber LRC listed as Mk. II.

Sequoia
According to the CMBO Unit Database, which is available in the repository, the Challenger first became available in Aug '44, which just makes it into the timeframe, though the database could be in error as I've noted in one previous instance, or it was still very rare in August. I don't know how common the Challenger was overall. Still two modules to go. The vibe I'm getting is flame vehicles will wait for the Bulge family, but maybe we'll get flak guns and vehicles with Market Garden. Oh and thanks Mord!

winkelried
I miss the Kangaroo a bit - was nice in CMBO since it was a well armored APC - and the Grille as I mentioned in another post. But we'll have the Market Garden Module soon and I prefer to have a few things fixed in the base game first.
Mord
Well, fellas, like I said we have two modules left after this one...that gives the opportunity to have 3 or 4 (depending on the White Scout Car) US vehicles & 1 AA Gun, 7 Brit vehicles & 1 AT gun, and 14 German vehicles & 6 AT guns. That's 25 Vehicles and 8 guns. That's 12 and (11 if White is in) or 12 and (13) vehicles and 4 Guns per two modules! That seems awfully doable if you look at CMSF's modules. Not to mention what could be added that wasn't in CMBO...so in the end we are gonna have a lot of toys for June - September 44. I'm happier than hell!
