It's up to you, what you do with the info but recommending to visit a screenshot gallery is not really user-friendly. Checking before plublishing and correcting such errors imo is much better.

rune
What part of it is still a work in progress did you NOT understand? Would you prefer if I took it down? Rune [ July 16, 2007, 07:00 AM: Message edited by: rune ]
Dirtweasle
So in what ways does creating generic AI plans for full on scenarios differ from "quick" battles? Is there a part of that section discusses QBs that I missed? In any case making the scenarios looks like a lot of fun and the UI quite intuitive. ...up until you get to the scenario briefings in that last section, and then my brain just plain locked up.
rune
The difference is for the full scenarios, you assign units to the ai, so part of your tanks use group 1s orders, while the other use group 2s orders. Each group can have up to 5 seperate plans. For QBs, there are no reinforcements. You select the setup zones, then you create the AI plans. Use basically have 1 group, but you can create up to 5 seperate plans for the AI. Rune
Dirtweasle
Gotcha, thanks. Seems pretty easy to do. Compared to CMx1, where you had the flags &/or map exit sides and terrain to kind of herd or coax the hard wired AI into doing things there really is great improvement for full blown scenario design.

grunt_GI
Apologies in advance if these are answered somewhere else... Don't remember where I saw it, but someone asked if the game has a tutorial scenario? Also I don't know if I got this right, but I thought I understood that you can modify the units on existing maps just like earlier versions of CM...that is how you can make "Quick Battles" for CMSF? Does that include the pre-made scenarios in the box ? Sorry if these are redundant I am trying to keep up with the relevant posts. Really appreciate the work on this thread..can't wait to see the variety of scenarios the community comes up with, especially if I can futz with them and add my own units
Cameroon
The difference between Quick Battles in CMSF and the previous CM titles is that it can't automatically generate the map. You have to play on a previously made map but the units you purchase. I'm sure that there will be some sort of "ease you in" type of scenario, but who knows how much of an "ease in" it will be

Huh?
I'm probably missing something obvious, but I can't seem to figure out how to move around in the 2D map editor.
rune
You can go left and right if the map is larger by moving the mouse off the screen in that direction. A necessity for larger maps. Rune
