walpurgis nacht
If you're behind just meet up with your opponent and spend a few hours playing it out TCP. It's the least you can do considering you committed to finishing your games in what is quite more than a reasonable alloted span of time. sheesh.

Sivodsi
"spend a few hours playing it out TCP" Unless you have an opponent who only has a dial up connection. The only solution then is to agree on a time for a concentrated e-mail swapping time. Unfortunately my last opponent doesn't respond to my requests, so I don't know when he is free. As it happens we are within the last 10 moves, so we should get it finished in time. Frustrating about the lack of communication though.

Cpl Carrot
Kingfish _ I sent you an email yesterday with some questions. Did you get it? R
Kingfish
Guys, I just sent out a bulk e-mail to everyone in the tournament, and have gotten a few bounced back, so I am posting the same message here: This e-mail is intended for those who still have games in progress. If you have finished all your games please disregard. Those who have games in progress please e-mail asap with your status (where you are turn wise) and on whether or not you think you can finish by the deadline (June 7th). I need to know this information *now*, as this may be the last time I can get a replacement player in. Ideally I would like for you all to finish your games, so please...I repeat ***please***...find a way to get it done. It would make our jobs so much easier. Even if you cannot get it completed simply getting all but the last few turns helps me out a great deal. Don't let the game just hang with 10+ turns to go. According to my latest spreadsheet there are 3 games left to finish for Wet Triangle, 7 for Push, 5 for Highlanders, and a whopping 14 each for St.Ed's and Moltke. Not good. So, please e-mail me asap. Thank you, Sergio
David Chapuis
What does the replacement list look like? I'm somewhere on it, and can jump in and finish some games quickly.
Spanish Bombs
I'll check where you stand when I got home this evening, David. Suffice it to say, however, that at this stage willingness and ability to jump in and complete games in a timely manner takes precedence over any strict list.

Sivodsi
Hi Kingfish, A quick question about how you grade the AARs into half or full credits. Do you give them a full grade depending on how useful it is to yourself, or is it more on effort put into it? I can easily imagine enthusiastically banging away on the keyboard and spending hours agonizing over what to say, only to find that what I am saying is of little use to you. It'd be pretty dissappointing to come away with a half credit in this case. Cheers
Richie
If I may... The winning AAR for ROW IV was 19 pages long and detailed a turn by turn account of the battle, the players thoughts and his feelings as he went. Anakulin included overhead tactical screenies every 8 turns or so to help draw the picture of the overall battle. You don't have to make it 19 pages, you don't have to have the most detailed screenies, but the more you put into it the more everyone gets out of it, but please keep the whole thing under 4 mb... OH YEAH, 14 DAYS TO GO !!! DON"T PANIC !
Kingfish
After you are done with your AAR ask yourself two questions: Does it give a good description of the scenario and how it played out? Does it provide the scenario designer with useful feedback? If you answer yes to both then you have yourself a full credit AAR.

Ace Pilot
Heads up to the AAR evaluators - I've sent each of you 2 emails with AARs attached. Some of the attachments were rather large (approaching 10mb in some cases), so if you didn't receive both emails, please let me know.
Frenchy
Ace: Double check that I sent you the AAR for Push to Maleme. I got a confirmation email from you April 14.
John Kettler
Kingfish and Ace Pilot, Am totally at sea regarding my role and status, if any, regarding the AAR evaluations. KF, I mentioned several possibilities in earlier parts of this thread and asked you to E-mail me privately, to which end I updated my profile. Had no reply there or any here either, for that matter, but through unfortunate ambiguous phrasing, did get MD moderately wound up, albeit briefly. Please advise. Regards, John Kettler
