Mr.X
I like the idea of an "Iron man" mode - tried several times to play this way against the AI - the more forces you have to control the more difficult it will become. In my opinion, this mode would be fantastic for smaller battles with maximum platoon size and only few heavy weapons. May be, this mode could develop a complete new style of scenario-design? para
Is there a way to restrict the max height the camera can go?
Tank Hunter
We should be able to assign certain formations plans and leave it to AI to execute these, just like you can do in the scenario editor. This would make it easier for RT players in bigger battles but it could also be used in WeGo. You could then focus on the most important part of the battle and still have your troops move in other sectors of the map without you having to babysit them. Throw in a message system that alerts the player when formations come under attack and you have a solid system. If your AI controlled formations come under attack you'll be notified and then you can assess the situation and choose to take control of it, leave as is or modify the AI plans.
Oddball_E8
I'm gonna jump in here and say that i think that speciality teams should be able to sare ammo even if they are not in the same formation. Like having bazooka teams sharing rockets or AT-guns sharing ammo. But not having MG's share ammo with rifle teams and vice versa. So it has to be the same team sharing. MG teams would have to be excluded for obvious reasons.
Oddball_E8
"Shoe trunks only" mapwide would get my vote. Umm... isn't that what happens when you press ALT+T twice?
womble
Umm... isn't that what happens when you press ALT+T twice? No. Alt-T cycles through All trees No trees Trunks only for nearby trees. I may have the order wrong, but there is no way to show the trunks only across the entire map if the map is larger than postage-stamp size.
Buzz
You want tuff, play a city game at 1 view only. Really Tuff = Urban Level 1 View only "Locked" (no peaking from above) in Real Time, X# Pauses / X Minutes or per Game. Crusty Rusty Mode X = 0 Pauses
mjkerner
Is there a way to restrict the max height the camera can go? I have height control mapped tommy mouse wheel. I plan on taping it in place at the lowest level when I next try out Iron mode, and see if that would help keep me honest.

Hmm... thats not how it works for me :/ Im pretty sure it removes all threes :/ EDIT: No, you are right... i guess i only play on postage-stamp sized maps

It sort of seems to depend on what height you're at and how many trees it's vanishicating.
SmittyJ
I'd like to see field telephones in future modules. They're pretty basic to any defensive setup. I think units digging in, even for a day or two would run wire between company and platoon command posts and maybe out to heavy weapons positions or observation posts. You could model this by having certain action squares "wired." any unit in a wired square would automatically have C2 with with a headquarters unit in a similarly wired square. HE hits on the square would have a random chance to cut the wire and units would suffer a morale hit when an enemy unit moves into a wired square, picks up the phone and starts mercilessly taunting the guy on the other end.
poesel
Probably the millionth proposal to change the LOS tool Leave the targeting line as is but when there is no LOS (stop sign cursor) and you leave the cursor stationary for a short time (200ms?) then change the cursor to the silhouette of a thing that would have to be there to be able to get LOS to it. E.g. a kneeling man, a standing man, a low vehicle, big tank. Anything bigger gets the usual stop sign (until we get mechs). This way you get immediate feedback especially for low grass situations where it often looks like you've got no LOS anywhere. Through the delay it also doesn't hurt performance.

Whiterider
A more flexible quick battle purchases. It´s required to purchase at least one formation first to get single vehicles and specialist teams. Formations are really expensive and only a few can be got in tiny or small battles. Ok not very realistic, but I still miss the CMX1 system purchase in order to choose what I wish for small battles.
Sublime
^ you do know you can delete everything in the formation except simply the HQ? Then you can add all the single units you want. The new way is more realistic, and just as flexible as far as Im concerned.

Aragorn2002
New feature: Nachtzielgerät/Uhu for German vehicles. Now THAT would be something.
poesel
In a tank fight: A vs B and B is unbuttoned. A should not open up with the MG unless A can also use it's main gun. Now A will open up on B's TC with the MG and giving it's position away even when only the radio operator has LOS and not the gunner.
Vencini
Could aNyone from Battlefront team, make a list or tell us, wich of all those "wish" are they taking in consideration to implement and the ones who are very far to be implemented? Thanks Just because maybe we're repeating some of them, and it will be good for new players "here, in this link, is the list with things they are considering to implement and not. So your demand is here or will never be here ..." SO, my wish (sorry if this has been demanded before) : We can separate a team (assault, recon, etc) INSIDE a transport vehicle in WEGO. We have to finish the movement in the last waypoint to dismount the unit (It will be great if we could do this with a pause and continue moving the vehicle in the same turn) and then separate the unit in teams... Whiterider
I´d like to see units statistics when I´m purchasing. It´s very important to get an efficient and cheap army.

Thanks They read this thread and I guess they have a list but I very much doubt they will publish it. There is IMHO no damage done if things are requested several times. Only shows that there is a wider interest in this item and puts more weight behind it.
A Canadian Cat
I´d like to see units statistics when I´m purchasing. It´s very important to get an efficient and cheap army. Can you elaborate on that a bit? What statistics do you want to see and how would you use them during purchase?
Whiterider
In the same way than the old CMX1: Ammunition, armour, weapons, explosives, range, grenades, etc. Equipment can vary depending on the nation (ie italian infantry have very different equipment than american ones). Think it is useful to know before you start a battle.
womble
Equipment can vary depending on the nation (ie italian infantry have very different equipment than american ones). Think it is useful to know before you start a battle. Not just equipment, and not just between nations. There are several different Italian infantry formations which have different structures and different loadouts within their platoons which aren't necessarily easily researched by a swift Google. Whether a given German squad has one or two LMGs, or Fausts as opposed to Rifle Grenades is also something that has to be experimented with before you know, and then you have to remember between possibly widely separated "Buying sessions".
