togi
German half track. And 2 Americans, using the flowers to good effect, attempting to ambush it. this scene reminds me "Saving Private Ryan" and suprise meeting with Ryan
Tashtego
You're right. I must have been channeling Splieberg. These guys, however, had no ammo for the bazooka. They fired a couple of rifle grenades which missed, but landed close enough to scare off the half track.
necramonium
Tashtego, a little word of advice, you are putting a little bit too much sharpness over those nice looking screenshots.
Tashtego
I'll try. But I can't help myself. Mike

Bootie
I'd really like to know what filters the guy with the awesome screenshots used, they are awesome.
Tashtego
ShaneGreer. I'm glad you liked them. Using Paint Shop Pro 6 (old) and Paint.net (download free) they were cropped, sharpened, and I tweaked the brightness and contrast a little. I used Paint.net to turn the third one sepia. 2 minutes a pic and you're done. That's about it. Mike
RuhrRiver
Tashtego, It's subjective of course, but I liked the degree of sharpness in these two pictures. Nice work.

poesel
I really can't imagine a wargame that does not know the meaning of 'stacking limit'... (ok, thats not from a real game - just from my mortar test range )
necramonium
I can't seem to make a good screenshot from a long distance when viewing a town and such, i press Print Screen, paste it in photoshop and the screenshots shows with the pauze menu and also the graphics are like you viewing from far away, in low res. And when i use Fraps, the screenshots become low quality and really dark.
stoex
necramonium, Don't know why your screenies are so dark with FRAPS. maybe your screen is just set to a low brightness? Dunno. But you might be able to brighten them up some with Photoshop or GIMP (which is free).
necramonium
You might want to re-read my post. And i know my way around photoshop pretty well.
stoex
Taking your advice, I reread your post and found this: ...screenshot from a long distance...graphics are like you viewing from far away... Kinda answered one of your questions yourself there. When you take a screenie from a far-away perspective, the graphics look like that cause you ARE viewing from far away. Or did you mean they look different than they look in game? I have no idea why screenies taken with FRAPS would look "low-quality". Mine look exactly like the in-game quality, and I don't know what might change that.
necramonium
When i view from a long distance to map, everything looks fine, than i press Printscreen, pause and go into photoshop and than the screenshot is showing the map in lower quality, like the one i showed, when you alt tab back in the game, you see the game is loading the high res textures again, its like the screenshots are taken a few seconds after you press print screen, because i also have it sometimes that like i take a screenshot, and it shows a screen from a minute ago and such.

Sgt Schultz
Necra ... are you pressing Pause before taking your sceenies? I always pause, then cycle "frame by frame" until I find the shot. SHFT/ESC and keep tapping them until you get what you want. If you take screenies while things are going you may get a backdated shot.
