Reiryc7
Just wanted to say I'm looking forward to the new module. Looks like some really good additions to the arsenal! About how many scenarios/operations are tentatively planned?
Ranger33
If CMSF is any indicator, each nationality will get a medium-to-large campaign and 5-10 scenarios. However, I noticed the announcement seems to only say "includes a campaign for exciting play right out of the box" which would be a bit of a shortcoming IMO, considering how NATO included a campaign for each new army. But with all the new gear and troop formations for each side, I imagine the accumulation of user made content will be massive over the long term. I'm just speculating here of course.
Macisle
I'll second that. -Can't wait to deal out some punishment with the Brens! Macisle
sburke
Is it normal to have it's own place on the repository that quick or is this perhaps a sign that it isn't too far off before we have it in our grubby little hands?
Mord
Well, NATO was five months from announcement to release but they'd been working on it longer than that (but there were two other titles being worked on as well) so it's hard to say. BFC may have reached that 6 month target they'd been hoping for, what with four years or so of practice under their belts. I think the Repos area is hit or miss...sometimes it comes early. I hope we get the module in winter though...I like gaming much better when it's cold and nasty out. Mord.
Amizaur
I hope the module will be accompanied by a patch to the base CMBN game code, fixing some of the most important bugs and also some of m"ost simple to fix" bugs and shortcomings.
Mord
There's always a incremental patch when a module is released. Even if you don't buy the Commonwealth Module you'll still be able to patch the base game. Mord.
crowbar
if the screenshots are any indication I predict a lot of argument over what the correct colour should be for khaki uniforms - my guess would have been closer to the helmet colour looking forward to this a lot though!

I believe those were Alpha shots, so its not going to look the same in game, BF team has done a very good job so far in representing so far... although I am certain there will be mods out for the Limy's... just as there were for the US etc. For those doing any Waffen SS mods, remember it was the 1st LAH Div in 1943 and others that assisted with the armistance in Italy. So if you do any italian Camo mods.. it would have been rare... Not sure that can be done but hey...just saying. I beleive the only real documented photos of Italian Camo would have been with the 1st and 12th Waffen SS Div.
Stoppelhopser
I believe those were Alpha shots, Yep, me too. Looks more like placeholder textures on some surfaces to me. Looking forward to the new module.
black_prince
Very excited about this module. I've noticed that although SS and even Luftwaffe Field Divisions are being touted, there is no mention of Fallschirmjager. I hope they (and their FG42s and RCLs) havn't been forgotten.

In another thread it was confirmed by Steve that they will not be in until the next module (Market Garden). Kind of a letdown, but in the long term it will be fine since people can still go back and make whatever scenarios they want.
black_prince
That's a shame, especially as I feel that the American campaigns are incomplete without them. There's still alot of other great stuff to look forward to in the meantime.

The SS in leather? mmmmmmm I figure I am gonna be spending a lot of time reading up on the 21st Army group experience which will keep me too busy to worry about the FJ for a while.
Hessian deserter
I have been Google'ing some of the new weapons listed in the CW module to learn more about them. I learned the Browning pistol held 13 rounds and is still in use today by many different Government's with varied applications. It is quite a Brute!
Michael Emrys
The SS in leather? mmmmmmm Many Gestapo agent wore leather greatcoats. They were also heavy into bondage and physical duress, you know. I mean, if that's what turns you on. Michael

Michael Emrys
Then will someone please take Sergei out of my sight—preferably far out of my sight—and, uh, administer to him. Michael

Sergei
I strongly object to being subjected to Michael's torture fantasies. Reading his posts is painful enough already. However, I might be tempted to go with a little Swedish smörgåsboarding...
