Your Mod is a work of beauty, outstanding job. I just had my internet upgraded to fiberoptic. The mod downloaded in about 3 minutes, where before it took almost an hour and at the very end the download would fail to download, so with the new fiber optic WiFi it's all good now.

Depending on the German unit positions, there were Wehrmacht, SS, Fallschirmjager, Luftwaffe, Marines, Volksturm, some JU-87 G, King Tigers, Panthers, Tigers, Jagdpanzer IV/70, and we can't forget the Stug's, Soviets will have Guards Tank Armies, Guards Mech Corps, then You will always have the Regular Soldiers with lots of Heavy Artillery, plenty Of Stalin's Organs, Heavy Mortars, Lots of Soviet Aircraft, both T-34/76 and T-34/85's, JS-II, SU76, JSU-122 and JSU-152's

PZ III with 37mm, PZ-IV with short 75, possibly a PZ IV F1, Stug III with short 75. Sturmtiger, and for the grand finale, how about the Goliath remote controlled bunker buster?? for the Ruskie's the KV-1, earlier model for the T-34. the T-60, T-40, BT-7, T-26, KV-85 both normal 85mm gun and the flame thrower version. all of these vehicles should be added to the next RTFR Vehicle pack. before I forget the Panther D and Elephant without the bow machineguns. Maybe even the KV-Is and KV-2

By George MC, that was it. All of the SS uniforms I was looking for, well you had them. I thank you very much. I also sent you a message on twitter and followed you. I was looking at a few old mods that I had, and I found the old SS Autumn mod. It only had the smocks but it's so awesome how far the Modder's have come since then. So once again, many thanks. G

I've a 12ss mod for CMBN (not tried in CMRT) and there is a CMRT mod file name - Ez_SS-for-Red-Thunder - which has some of the uniform options wearing LSSAH cuffs.
I've also got Ez's EZ German skin compilation CMBN CMRT - uploaded em all to dropbox at this link.

Gary R Lukas got a reaction from NPye in Why are there no Straggler units for the Soviet's??
Just wondering why there are No Soviet straggler companies or units to choose for scenario or quick battles?? I do realize during the last 10 months of the war that the German forces were doing most of the falling back or retreating, so there were plenty of straggler units, but the Soviets also pulled back many times after quick German counterattacks or localized mini attacks. I've also noticed that scenario creators and campaigns makers love to use German straggler units for their force mix, especially for Operation Barbarossa until just after Stalingrad, which I believe to be in error. The German rifle squad was designed from the outset to be centered around the MG-34 and later on the MG-42. The squad's main purpose was to support the machine gunner and the loader, whether it be flank protection or just bringing up ammo to keep the guns fed with their veracious appetites for bullets. By the use of straggler units, especially early in the war, the German forces are missing their number one weapon, whether in an attack or on defense. A straggler squad is completely out gunned by any Soviet squad except for the Russian sapper teams. I'm not saying here that every German unit has an MG-34 all the time, but if it didn't those squad members would be loaned out to other squads that have one in working order. SO back to Soviet stragglers, if I want a Russian unit without its LMG all I can choose is either a recon squad with mostly submachine guns or sapper units loaded with demolition charges, and thats not the fix i'm looking for. Hopefully in the future this overlooked feature can be added to the game.

Gary R Lukas got a reaction from Arjuna.R in Battle Of Kursk Maps
I'm in the planning phase of making some scenarios involving the battles fought around Ponyri Station and Prokhorovka , but I am looking for some maps to help me get started. With the addition of Fire and Rubble we now have most of the Tanks and other equipment that was used on July 5th, 1943. There are Pz III Short and Long, Pz Mk IV longs, Panthers, Tigers, Elephants, Stug III and StuH and also the Brumbar and Pz Mk III Flame. On the Soviet side we have the T-34's, Su-122 and Su-152. Can't forget the Su-76 either. We still don't have the KV-1 or the Churchill's, nor do we have the U.S. supplied Grant's and Stuarts which were used in defense of the southern sector of the front. So if anyone out there know where I can get some good quality maps I'm all Ears. I Thank You in advance.

Thanx for the timely fix Bootie, and yeah I understand things happen, why it happens who knows but it does. Thanx again. There may be some others from other games but I'm staying here with RTFR. I've been bouncing around too much with the other games like BS, SF2 and CW but my laptop only has enough memory for one, and that includes all the extra Mods and Scenario's.

It would also be great to see the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions then add some M-551 Sheridan's to the mix and now you have a Force Multiplier, and then add some Soviet Su-57 and Su-85's, a few Bmd's. Dang just the Airborne Units could be a module all by itself.

Gary R Lukas got a reaction from Artkin in Is Marines TOW LAV-AT-2 IR modelled correctly
To put the sights into a better perspective, try to look thru the scope of a rifle while you are in a moving vehicle. It would be almost impossible to hit a target but remember that with the TOW on the HUMVEE the entire unit would be in lock, so nothing would be moving until the vehicle slowed down or stopped. It was even worse when the TOW System was on the M151 Jeep.

I'm not sure about the IR on a LAV, but as far as the HUMVEE TOW mount I know firsthand that if the vehicle is moving it's impossible to look thru the sights, it doesn't matter if it's the day or IR sights. You can only track when the vehicle isn't moving.

Well said, I'm 100% with you. I had Great Grandparents and Grandparents who immigrated to the United States in the early 1900's, They lived in Poland close to the Ukrainian Border. They were pushed out by Lenin's Communists. They told me stories about how the Polish people and Ukrainian people got along so well and referred to them as cousins. I served in the Marines from 1982-1989, my MOS was 0351/0352, TOW Missiles, the M-47 Dragon ATGM, and the LAAW [Light Anti-tank weapon and Demolitions] with a little cross training on the M-60A1 Tanks. In the 8 years that I served all we were taught was how to defeat the Russian Armored Juggernaut, and honestly after I started learning more and more about the Communists and Soviets, I started to really dislike them, almost a hatred towards them. The hatred I had towards the Russians wasn't against its people but centered more on their leaders and military. I know what the Germans did to them in WWII and what the Soviets did to the Germans while they raced to Warsaw and Berlin how many in the Soviet Army acted like animals towards the Polish and German People. When I started watching the war that Putin unleashed on Ukraine, I figured it was a war like many before it, but after seeing the Atrocities against the Ukrainian People I clearly see that nothing has changed, the horrors that they committed against ordinary people, the old, young children and even babies made my blood boil. When I was a Marine, I wouldn't even think of doing that to any person, and if I saw anyone doing such a thing to civilians, I would have stopped it. I have a conscience that I have to live with, and I wouldn't be able to sleep if I witnessed something like that and did nothing to stop it. The Russian soldiers are acting in a barbaric way towards the Ukrainian people, almost like they are not even human. I hunt Deer and other animals like Wild Turkey, Elk, and Black Bear, and I always do my best to make sure that the animals I kill don't suffer, which is more I can say for the Russian soldiers killing civilians needlessly. If I had to kill a person in war or self-defense I can do it without hesitation, but I can't Murder somebody in cold blood. These so-called Russian soldiers are acting no different than the Roman soldiers or even the Huns, killing and murdering everybody they see. If Putin takes over the Ukraine, you know he's NOT going to stop there. I suspect he will start going after the Baltic Countries and Poland, maybe even Finland. I do have more to say on this topic but it's almost my bedtime.
