Actually, a different camera system. Camera 1 First Person shooter +driver's position. Camera 2, AFV Turret Camera3 Open. Climb up the stairs with the mouse wheel. Camera 5-9 Actual maps or screen displays. Stops borg spotting.

My recommendation.....Make a test in the editor.
It will require a little bit of thinking to get it to work just how you need it to and it will help you to familiarise yourself with the post powerful part of the game.
PS - I reckon half the scenarios I make start this way; Something comes up in dscussion here, I make some expermental stuff to find my own personal answers, discover something that amuses/impresses/surprises me.....Next thing you know I'm writing a scenario around it.

The movement path is too close to the bridge. Bridges always pose problems for vehicles. Move that blue line out a couple of AS and there won’t be a problem, but within one or two AS of a bridge, vehicles usually will move erratically. Those light forest tiles probably aren’t helping anything, either.

The first recoilless rifle, proximity fuse for artillery, Moaning Minnies on Shermans . Spies, and resistance units a little of topic.

Video's are a good record of what works. One way to review a game is to play against yourself in Hotseat. You see Blue Forces, plot your moves swap to Red and you see how effective you were. Always report back even if you play the AI.

The 5000 mile journey starts with a single step. That is the easiest way to get a new game I understand. I use excel to organize large and huge scenarios., and Affinity Photo to edit the screenshots. A brilliant Photoshop alternative.

You know the cliche give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, if you teach him how to fish you feed him for the rest of his life. There is the editor I just start to dabble with it. You can load a present scenario, change the name, change the units, change the weather change the date and you have a new scenario. Goes a little further than QB.

Would indeed love to see the possibility to support with indirect fire from automatic grenade launchers and machine guns.
Maybe with the same mechanic as on-map mortars with the possibility to call for fire by FOs and commanders?

Funnily enough I recently read this:

Spitfires & Messerschmitts weren't the only things duelling in the airspace over Europe!

I did, but it really doesn't tell me anything I didn't already know.....I am absolutely aware of what can be swapped in any and all CM titles, by dint of having tried it, with almost everything.  Seriously!
My general rule of thumb is that if a vehicle can be emptied with the Dismount command it can probably be crew-swapped.  If it requires the Bail Out command to get everyone out, it probably cannot be crew-swapped.
However I wouldn't guarantee that to be 100% accurate either (as I said earler, what can be done in the editor and what can be done in-game is very different).
PS - I'm messing with a possible workaround to this right now and I am cautiously optimistic that I can get my OSIRIS Uncon Fighters aboard a captured LMTV (to swipe it's Javelins), but only in game and only under Human control, obviously.....I've aleady killed off the US crewman, but the vehicle remains promisingly immobilised, waiting for an OSIRIS team to arrive.
If I can pull this off I'll be feeling really quite smug for a while!

As have we all, at some point.
TBH I'm not convinced that this is something that would happen very often within the scope of a battle, but in a campaign the more senior crews might be expected to have the option to take charge of surviving vehicles.
Crew-swapping more generally would be a very, very cool thing.....If it were unlocked scenario designers could have an awful lot of fun with it, especially if they worked in conjunction with a modding team.  They don't have to use it, but the option to do so would be very cool, if only in the editor itself (rather than in-game as described above).
@37mm  Just think of the amount of grief this option would have saved us with the vehicles in 'H&E'.....Were it available.

The idea to have the 'Key People' occupying Key Terrain. Key Terrain permits the observation of the objective and area of operations. . From there the leader can bear the fire power of his units upon the enemy.

That's the reason to why some people put a gun crew on top of a foxhole. When the enemy is sending their hard rain the gun team can seek cover in the foxhole below them and jump back up when the barrage is over.

That's abstracted with the Hide command.....If they're in decent cover (trenches for instance) using that command should noticeably reduce casualties from bombardment.

I feel there should be an improvement in the units combat shock or stress. But it doesn't take place. It does when you split away the other teams from the team with the casualty. Maybe that is the purpose of it, but you don't have to deliver the buddy aid.

No Borg Spotting for artillery and aircraft (helicopters). I make sure that the observers have at least a contact icon where they want to call a fire mission. I call 'Borg Spotting' what I see on the screen when nothing is selected.

There are two parts (well really three) parts to morale

Formation: This is what you are talking about. As a formation takes losses they will become more brittle and high casualties over a short time has a shock value.

Element: Any given squad has its own internal morale. This is calculated per-man (each man has his own morale) and the squad morale is the averaged morale of each man in the squad. Splitting a squad means that you get two separate elements with their own internal morale. Because the elements are smaller its easier for them to take a morale hit and I also think there is a C2 hit for the element without the SL.

chuckdyke reacted to Freyberg in North Italy QB maps
I've been working on a series of QB maps - starting with large-huge base maps, which I am slicing up, adding AI plans, to make QB maps of various sizes.
It's still in progress, but I have been quite pleased with the latest base map, around 2.5km square, of rolling cropland. There is lots of patchy scattered cover, but also frequent avenues of long-range LOS. I found the result of this latest one quite picturesque...

The land descends gently from the north, through gently rolling fields.

As it descends, there are occasional low escarpments, offering views of the surrounding countryside.

Scattered amongst the fields, there are one or two patches of open woodland.

Spend the afternoon wandering pretty shaded paths.

The roads are generally good in this part of Italy.

And here and there are some delightful Italian farmhouses and farm complexes.

Some of them are quite modern.

    Others with a historical feel.

For the well-heeled businessman, or an ex-GI flush with looted Nazi treasure, enjoy a stay in this charming part of Italy...

Yes - they would be both partial hull down to each other.
@chuckdyke Yes, both were unbuttoned (crew hatches open). However, in this case the contact was shared with the tank by a HQ unit via radio.
