Here is a test form an older screen shot from 2012. I hit the Image button on the tool bar and pasted the url of the image http://www.lesliesoftware.com/forforumposts/2012/BrenCarrierOpensUp.jpg and it just worked. I'm not using photo bucket mind you. I think the trick is to get a url to the .jpg image and then it will work.

Not at the moment. Although @Moon did say that he is working on improvements to the repository. Hopefully those improvements will make searching easier. Many are looking forward to the update.

A Canadian Cat replied to kohlenklau's topic in CM Fortress Italy Maps and Mods
Morning calisthenics Yep, a missing patch is the cause of this kind of error. -
New Cinematic CMRT Vid: "Hill 527"
A Canadian Cat replied to Macisle's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
I for one would really like the crosses and transparent buildings to be toggle able. -
Company HQ and snipers?
A Canadian Cat replied to Swant's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
@MOS:96B2P has some good advice there. I don't use covered arcs on snipers though just let them shoot. I will hide and move to a new position form time to time though. It is also a good idea to position them a little away from other forces. For instance I do not have a sniper in the same building as an MG since the MG will attract a lot of attention. They are harder to find good places in offense but try to find the high ground and let them spend time observing. -
Oh yeah I see that now - never noticed until now. Strange.

That green up arrow is the plus one...

Yeah that would be harder. It is hard to get off the beach. Over the years of playing I am starting to get good at forcing my men forward even when they are broken

CM:BN Screenshot Thread #2

LOL, for those who don't know "yours to discover" used to be the slogan in our Ontario license plates. It got kind of awkward once personalized plates came along. -
No there is no way to prevent attaching units on a bridge. But if you think I am going to just let your vehicles cross you are going to be in for a surprise As for making AI plans I don't know I'll have to see how much time I have. You want to make three plans, or do you mean there will be three phases.

I think they are traditionally "yours to discover" -
Well, I don't think many users were looking for a change but the version of software that was running the old forum was getting out of date. I for one appreciate the black on white colour scheme, much easier to read. And I really appreciate that this new system remembers what you have and have not read properly. That alone makes it worth it to me.

More (Official) Small Scenarios
A Canadian Cat replied to Sim1943's topic in Combat Mission Black Sea
Hee hee. With my second scenario (all time not just CMBS) I can now see what you mean. I probably spent more time on my small scenario than I would have on a medium sized one - just trying to make sure the AI plans work well enough. Still not sure I have it right - we will see. I took scenario experts' advice and started with small ones but I always planned to make bigger ones. Given the OP (and other's) request I pledge to make small scenario for any CM release I have the privledge to be asked to participate in. That's the best I can do. OK fine that's the best I am willing to do -
Also, shamless plug, my Whos Turn Is It? application can also automatically copy PBEM files for you: http://community.battlefront.com/topic/110328-announcing-whose-turn-is-it-a-pbem-turn-management-program/

Yeah, one of the problems of talking heads and their predictions is there is vitually no cost. The get lots of attention and accolades when they guess right and virutally no blow back when the get it wrong. This is one of the reason we see lots of predictions some of them kind of wild. Keep your grains of salt handy. Even for Steve I listened to a really interesting pod case from Freakonomics recently about this - http://freakonomics.com/2011/09/14/new-freakonomics-radio-podcast-the-folly-of-prediction/

Yeah, a little freaky eh? Mine just showed up too. I do have a G+ account and a Gravatar account so it came from one of those places. The interesting thing is looked at the settings and there is an option to get the avatar from Gravatar but it was not selected - shrug.

Friendly Fire from the Luftwaffe
A Canadian Cat replied to LUCASWILLEN05's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
You should not have to do anything for them to fire. I have seen it. Hopefully they will finish their mean refreshed and get back to work for you soon. Let us know if they continue to do nothing... -
So far it looks like the tracking of what you have read vs what you have not read is working as expected. I that sticks I'll be happy with the new forum right there. A few things I have noticed: I cannot find a setting to increase the number of posts per page. The old board had a way to increase the page size. There does not seem to be a setting for date formatting - I cannot remember if the old forum had that or not though On FireFox support for the spell checker on the post editing text block is not working. This is really not good for me:)

Ack, nooooooo it is finally easy to read this forum. Black on white please, please, please. You had to know there would be one decenting voice.
