  1. Ooops! Just have been told that links to other companies might be frowned upon. I did mean no harm, sorry. Could a mod please delete the offending material?
  2. @Moose Trot Actual If I get your gestion right, helmets' files are named as such : smod_[nationality]_[branch]_helmet-soldier # [tag].bmp For example : smod_american_helmet-soldier [snow].bmp smod_american_helmet-soldier 2 [snow].bmp smod_british_helmet-soldier-mk2 3.bmp smod_british_helmet-soldier-mk2 4.bmp Are you looking for a specific item ?
  3. An indie single player turn-based WW2 Leadership RPG with some tactical actions in the mix, sounds good? There's more : it's designed as a respectful homage to the Golden Generation, with "Band of Brothers as a guide to that tone", with a focus on the Cottonbalers for a start. It is pushed forward by what seems to be a talent laden team, like @Stoffel and @Mad Russian to pick two who we might know well here. And for the techy among us, it's codded in Python. https://burdenofcommand.com/ http://www.facebook.com/burdenofcommand/ http://www.twitter.com/BurdenOfCommand https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6D1rHMFvqsVM1ICFVQFXOA
  4. Yeah, Burden of Command, I'm closely following it too @BletchleyGeek, I picked up that book reading Luke Hughes' blog actually. I think some CM's players may be interested in it and vice-versa.
  5. I'm halfway through American Courage, American Carnage: 7th Infantry Chronicles, The 7th Infantry Regiment’s Combat Experience, 1812 Through World War II by John C. McManus. So far it's a page turner, sometimes meager on details regarding the grand scheme in which the battles are fought, it's a tale of how the Cottonballers lived, died, during the combats and between.
  6. Here is an index of all files one can explode (extract) from the brz files. CMSF2 is not included, yet. Out of curiosity, here are the # of items that comes with each game : CMBN : 12 192 items CMFI : 15 628 items CMFB : 13 285 items CMRT : 7 000 items CMBS : 9 141 items > CMx2ExplodedFilesIndex (Google Sheet) As for what it can be useful to, sky is the limit. I use to find where is what, to guess what files the games have in common and if there's something missing in my mods collection, eg.
  7. @kohlenklau would this Italian with short sleeves mod still be around ? Nevermind, had a brain fart , thank you for your determination and your passion.
  8. Basically what it does is to change the look of the highway, thus a scen designer can use highways instead of narrower roads, which tends to create shark teeth shaped roads. That is if I'm not misunderstanding Falaise's work. Put another way, as Erwin wrote, "It won't straighten roads in existing scenarios".
  9. The Infantry Magazine Homepage, with a subject/author index : http://www.benning.army.mil/infantry/magazine/content/pdf/subject-author index.pdf
  10. The Overlay Maker 1.7 can be downloaded from https://the-overlay-maker.software.informer.com/download/
  11. Great find John, issues from January 1911 to April 2007 are available in PDF format from The United States Army | Fires Bulletin Historical archives. Gob bless the internet.
  12. This is useful both to scen designer and its players, if the author used such retextured highway tiles in his scenario, thus it will probably benefit of some tag.
  13. Posted on CMMODSIII as per author's request : CMBN Highway Mod by Falaise Thanks for sharing @Falaise
  14. Looks like to be a great addition to my shelves, thank you John. From the author's(?) website : A third edition is underway at the ITF publisher.Books planned to be available end of February - beginning of March 2019. https://liberation-sarthe.weebly.com/in-english.html
  15. According to IanL's Complete List of Combat Mission Scenarios that would be [Campaign Battle #01] Hitlers Bodyguard mission, and thanks to Rokko's uncam: Combat Mission campaign extractor, it's quite easy to get the mission file. Please note that Mad Mike's CMx2 ScAnCaDe V2.1 can do it too, as can Steinfisch's Combat Mission Universal Utility. @rocketman here it is attached. Hitlers Bodyguard.btt
  16. On the left side of that light blue bar where that "Insert media" grey colored button is you may see "choose files", eg. Edit: I don't think it does qualify for the "Dumb question of the day" contest by the way.
  17. Awesome work Ian. Your website is my go to solution whenever I'm looking for a scenario or wonder what a campaign's tree is. - Would it be possible to add a field where a tagged mod pack could be linked? Michael Jones' narrative campaigns usually comes with such a companion pack for example. - Links to Battlefront's repository are not working, obviously, maybe it would be worth to take them down so the good folks, especially the newcomers, are not worried about them? - Do you think something could be done to mix in @poesel's CM overview map on Google Maps, @sttp's CMFB QB Maps Hi-Res Visual Overviews and @76mm's CMRT Map Database? (Online version of sttp's CMFB QB maps and 76mm's CMRT Map DB) ? @Battlefront.com could this topic be sticked, please? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some suggestions : Dealership scenarios for BN, FI, FB, BS and SF2 can be downloaded from CMMODSIII, LukeFF's CMRT Parade scenario can be downloaded from Dropbox On the Fortress Italy - Scenario Listing page are listed half a dozen QB maps Final Blitzkrieg - Scenario "Parroy Forest (FR)" can be found on CombatMission.fr There are others translated scenarios on CombatMission.fr, what would be the most convenient way for you to get them (in what format do you want the additional datas for example)?
  18. Thanks a lot for the update Steve. Regarding the common TO&E, could it be that it may makes scenarios playable in all games if the units selected are the same ? May that eventually lead to a cross-platform editor ?
  19. Just found an article about the German Operations Orders, on @Michael Dorrosh's website? https://web.archive.org/web/20080303150400/http://www.deutschesoldaten.com/procedures/opsorder.htm
  20. Check this post by the author from that campaign's thread, the link is there :
  21. @arpella72 I've reinstalled 3.12, with everything activated and checked the two versions of the 2nd mission : the TOE is exactly the same whether you run 3.12 or 4.0. Thus if anything changed I assume it's in the scenario file. Would you still have the files you played that first time? Maybe @Ithikial_AU would know?
