  1. No wonder why Germans invaded the Ardennes twice!
  2. Hi Odin, I might be misreading it or could be over-picky here but Sten's accuracy isn't what is mentioned, it only says that the average firer have a better change hitting a target at 200 yards with a Sten than with a Rifle, that's all. Now my interpretation of that affirmation is that the accuracy of the rifle itself isn't a consideration, quite the opposite as it seems to be more about the volume of fire when it comes to hit a target for "the average firer". Now what does it mean regarding CM and does it makes Migo's tests more or less valid? I really don't know man, all these figures thrown at my brain just doesn't ring any bell. All I see is interpretation since we don't have any way to actually track individual bullet and thus see what happen to its accuracy around that 240 m mark. Plus, what if test is performed with Crack rather than Regular, do they hit their target more often?
  3. De nada! Enjoy the trip, hopefully weather will be compliant, more than this week. --------------------------------------------------- Dozens of U.S.' regimental histories legally for free in pdf : http://digicom.bpl.lib.me.us/ww_reg_his/
  4. Maybe try to transfer your mods to ".\Documents\Battlefront\Combat Mission\Red Thunder\User Data\Mods" folder.
  5. I'm being on the fence here as it's, understandably, hard to find accuracy figures collected on the actual battlefield. However here are some in test conditions : http://mr-home.staff.shef.ac.uk/hobbies/ww2eff2.pdf
  6. Would you remember what was the date at which your battle happened? Any chance the ATG crew have been watching Youtube on their smartphone while they were hiding?
  7. For players who don't have patience, knowledge or whatever, here are stock whitewash texture brainwashed and renamed [whitewash snow] as per Umlaut's instructions above, and packed into convenient brz format. Files list : http://superdupontzeserveur.fr/cm/whitewashsnow_list.txt 7zip archive : http://superdupontzeserveur.fr/cm/whitewashsnow.7z (489 Mb) Note : no point uploading it onto CMModsIII, it's only a rough temporary quickfix to make do until patch 1.01, probably.
  8. http://mr-home.staff.shef.ac.uk/hobbies/ww2pen3.pdf As the document details, there are various figures floating around so I would personally take not any as granted.

  10. Great website you got there John, amazing source of WW2 manuals there, thanks for sharing.
  11. Is anyone able to see what is on Unit Chit Grid layers and all chits layer groups in Master WW2 Map Symbols.psd file? Just wanna make sure something ain't wrong on my side. Thanks a lot for making that invaluably useful ressource available.
  12. CMFB : Das Comic! Great work Bil. The story is thrilling and the art is convincing, must have been so much time consuming! The vignette format is nice by the way. You realize than you are just making us want more, right? Edit : what font is that by the way, if you don't mind asking?
  13. Not that it changes anything to the quality of Sgt Joch's work, and while US maps of the era spelled it "Grandrue", the hamlet actually is "Grandru". A trivial detail really, and author's call anyway. https://www.battlefieldhistorian.com/gsgs_4041_1_25000_belgium.asp http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/ams/belgium_50k/ http://www.vaux-sur-sure.be/commune/vie-locale/villages-de-la-commune http://www.vaux-sur-sure-tourisme.be/nos-villages/grandru/
  14. About 5 to 10... seconds. It's just a matter of opening the file, change a bit, save and voila. ie. CMRT is 08 and CMFB is 0c iirc. Then you are lucky, or not. On kids, my 5 year old amaze me when he's playing on PC, he navigates the menu effortless, I'm sure he had a computer tech degree at school already.
  15. Erwin, all but Final Blitzkrieg are clickable. I hear you on Win10, was all like you then, at least for me, it seemed to do it faster than 7 and I started to like it way better, and I'm yet to find something I can't do in a nicer environment.
  16. Heavy version with Casulaty in plain text : http://superdupontzeserveur.fr/cm/CMFBVinAnimatedTextheavycas.7z You're welcome, Vin did all the work, all credit goes to him.
  17. No sweat, if it wouldn't have be a town I know, I probably wouldn't have even noticed
  18. "Grandru" actually. "Ru" or "ry" mean stream in French, while "Grandrue" would mean "main street". Many hamlet are named from a local terrain feature.
  19. Here's a “light” version with Casualty text back : http://superdupontzeserveur.fr/cm/CMFBVinAnimatedTextLighter.7z Let me know if you prefer Heavy version. Will add it to the main pack when I'll update it to 1.01
  20. If you are lucky enough to have the same units in both titles, you just "convert" the map with units embedded and voila. I recently did so with a CMBN training scenario and only had to manually swap a vehicle (an early panther iirc). Otherwise, I would use Japanzer's OOB and Formation Recorder to list the units I do use, delete them all, convert the map and manually rebuild the orbat in the other CM title. As for marrying OOB to master map, I guess it would depend on your local laws and regulations. Bad humor apart, I guess that one could create a core unit file, as described in the manual probably in chapter about campaign creation iirc but then I'm not sure what to do with it.
