  1. Put a Huge IED under each of them.....It's absolutely priceless when someone uses a breaching charge, believe me!
  2. Comms is a huge issue for Red forces (especially Uncons).....I'm struggling with this in a scenario I'm working on at the moment, getting the player's forces to communicate is a nightmare.
  3. Including the Jeep variant: Or "Crematorium For Two Comrades" as the Soviets might well have nicknamed it!
  4. I've played them all. Agree with your comments by and large though.....Especially about the first scenario in 'Road To Montebourg', that scenario taught me a lot about fire and maneuver in CM.
  5. No disagreement now that I'm aware they exist.....Presumably 'Rarity Points' also reflect things like specific vehicles only being found in specific units? You can find a StuG in almost any unit, but your choice for Kingtigers is rather more limited.
  6. Comets? Locusts? Tetrarchs? I've got a real soft spot for the A34 Comet.
  7. I've been looking for a WWII campaign to settle down with, so I'll definitely give that a look.
  8. Screw 'competetive'.....I wanna park my Matildas on their anti-tank guns!
  9. To be fair the Syrians' current doctrine doesn't resemble 'The Soviet Way' very much at all.
  10. Had it happen when testing 'Coup' for @MOS:96B2P a couple of CM:SF2 patches back.....A dude got seperated from his squad by a wall, then got well & properly lost/stuck. I could always select the unit, but I couldn't get (all of) them to move. One off experience thus far
  11. There's plenty of video editing software out there.
  12. I thought the VP added flamethrower vehicles.....I seem to remember individual flamethrowers as being added seperately about the time FI or maybe RT was released. Presumably a fresh install from the full installer should rule out any technical issues and OP's keys will then unlock whatever they unlock?
  13. And a slightly scuffed Matilda II parked on top of an Italian anti-tank gun? PS - Now I'm going to be missing CM:AK.....The scenarios for this period were a hoot (as the British, as the Italians, not so much).
  14. As an aside.....The 'complexity step' between placing units in a head to head QB and co-operatively building a 2p Only Scenario is very small, miniscule even! Just needs a couple of adults to agree on their force composition limits rather than relying on charts & tables. The advantage of this 'style choice' is that you can upload your 2p Only Scenario for others to try (minimal Briefings help, Tactical Maps are a luxury IMHO).....This gives third parties the opportunity to comment on and experiment with your concept, perhaps improving it (or maybe even writing AI scripts for one or the other sides).
  15. TBH while I'm a trackhead, I have no idea what metrics are used to judge the points costs.....So I'd prefer not to guess (and as I've said, they're meaningless from my perspective). As for the three for two question.....As a commander I'd take a good look at the map and mission before choosing, but naturally if conditions favour the deployment of Panthers, that's probably what I'd go for. Thing is, that's not a choice commanders get to make as a rule.....You can't just phone sPzAbt.505 and ask to borrow a couple of Tigers because you really don't like the StuGs that your own Regiment uses.
  16. Neither, I don't play quick battles. I'd rather use what a designer, who has likely put in weeks if not months of testing, has chosen for a carefully designed scenario.....I'm almost as interested in the'stroytelling' aspect of each battle (superbly visualised by @Bud Backer in his comic book series) as I am in the mechanics of the fight.
  17. No the answer is.....'It depends how big the explosion is'. Against a 1000lb bomb, dropped from the air or buried under the road, a tank will offer very little protection to accompanying infantry. Against a hand grenade, it will do rather better.
  18. So how much is a StuG? Because that was by far the most common German AFV on either front (in the time period of the current CM games). PS - If you think reducing the price of Panzer IVs will make 'German' players stop buying their beloved ubertanks.....I've got some really nice beachfront property in Birmingham that you might be interested in.
  19. Fair comment, I actually didn't know this, but I have no interest whatsoever in QBs, so why should I know it? One of the reasons I'm not interested in QBs is because the Germans can always choose a Tiger, Kingtiger or even a bloody Jagdtiger, just because they fancy one.....And it appears that they almost always do.
  20. Why not just download the all in one installer, reinstall and then apply all your license keys.....That should fix this issue AFAIK.
  21. You only get a marker if you find them, did you actually have troops go and look? PS - A lot of CM:SF2 players are going to really wish you hadn't got me experimenting with this.....I discovered a new thing!
  22. Multiplayer only really, IIRC you can set up a match against bots, but just as you recall, it sucks.
  23. @MOS:96B2P was testing this recently and it appears that Quick movement is now considered 'suspicious' again.....As the AI can only use Quick or Fast this may explain some of the issues described here.
