  1. That could be addrssed with 'tiered difficulty' scenarios where the designer gives each side a couple of extra AI goups that an experienced player has the option to drive into an Exit Zone if he wants a more challenging mission.....The AI would be scripted to avoid that location and thus would always fight with the full force available. This would be a doddle to do, you would just need to be careful with VP allocations.
  2. Ahhhh.....I'd assumed you had the invisible vehicles deployed on 'Side A' surrounded by swarms of 'Side B' IEDs & triggermen (as I am often wont to do) and they all went pop when you clicked 'Big Red'. I've been having reasonable success with my recent scripting experiments, hopeful it will translate into something meaningful for the release.....We'll see in due course.
  3. I'm with the lads above.....I already know just how much research goes into Battlefront product and while I might not agree with all of their conclusions, I'll trust them over some random netizen with a hex-editor every time!
  4. Me? Nah, not for a while, but I'd definitely recommend it for Red vs AI play, it's really tricky and quite fun too!
  5. Don't worry, ISIS will soon encounter the Chinese.....I suspect that won't end well for them at all. China seems to be absolutely itching to kick somebody's teeth in, but I don't think it will be India or Taiwan just yet, those would both be a very big bite for their first taste of 21st century warfare! ISIS in Africa however would make a tasty little morsel for their expeditionary units to cut their teeth on before returning to pressing matters nearer to home.....Plus they've got the (very efficient) Russian model in Syria to base their planning on.
  6. Looks like we're getting involved now too: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-55147863
  7. If you are seeing the side something went wrong! Glad you brought me back here, because shortly after I posted this: I had a battery of DRA (CM:A) 122mm Howitzers fire for fifteen minutes on a painted AI Support Target 'Destroy' order.....I've never seen the like before!
  8. Kill confirmed! If you like small unit actions on a big map I really do recommend checking out @puje's H&E Campaign 'Year of The Rat 1972'.
  9. I think you would know if they had revised the rules to allow mid-battle AI artillery control.....The hallelujahs rebounding from the rafters would give it away!
  10. I'd thought about that.....I believe I can cut the map down to remove most of the problem tiles. Flavour objects might be a chore, but it's just a matter of patience TBH.
  11. Nope, that one is already dead.....There's a sabot hole in it! But it was a trick question.....The final Challenger got all three of my tanks under circumstances not unlike your suggestion above. To be fair, bad timing and sloppy maneuver on my part contributed massively, I exposed my T-72s flanks, popping out of cover for snap shots, but the Challenger knew we were there (& I knew that it knew, but I was all gung-ho by this point, having whacked two already) and the timing was such that it put a sabot round straight through the side of one T-72, exiting directly into a second and brewing the pair of them! Stupid really as there was still 19 minutes on the clock when I took out the second Challenger, plenty of time to redeploy and take that final tank out from an unexpected direction.....But as I said, I got all gung-ho and buggered it up!
  12. We did discuss it briefly at one pont, I was going to pinch the burning vehicles for [Test] Boom III (The OSIRIS oil refinery attack idea). I reckon the effect could be enchanced by lots of brush & close foliage at the impact site (and perhaps also using higer wind speeds) How much cratering is there at the impact site? Ideally you want as little cratering as possible while still triggering a chain detonation.
  13. If you want a really small formation, start with a forward observer team.
  14. Did you just do what I think you did? If so.....Bravo! PS - Fun innit!
  15. I wonder if it would be possible for the game designers to allow us to increase the 'Toughness' of bunkers using Soft Factors on the bunker itself? Presumably all the basic mechanisms are in place, it would just require some means of adapting them to effect a bunker? @Battlefront.com @IanL Could this be done?
  16. Almost anyone can make a mess in a QB.....It takes practice to do it in a scenario.
  17. Unless you are in a built up area, at which point it punches hugely above its weight.
  18. Second try.....The results of this encounter would not go down at all well in the tabloids: So now three T-72 TURMS-T are hunting down one Challenger 2 and we already know exactly where it is.....Anyone want to place bets on how this one ends?
  19. Fully patched here too, been playing with spies quite a bit recently, but usually specifically trying to avoid getting them too close! I'm messing with something interesting at the moment, I think you may approve.
  20. Do Spies still get 'Rout Killed' (floating red exclamation mark) when a hostile unit moves very close (I noticed they get shot at these days, which they didn't seem to in the distant past)?
  21. Now that's weird.....Mod conflict of some kind maybe?
