CMA Unofficial Screenshot Thread

It seems somebody has upset the Soviets: From the forthcoming scenario 'Pacification'. Some of you may recognize the map.....The aim of this scenario is to utterly lay waste to it, Soviet style! -
CV90 bells and whistles

Made a point of trying these out in CM:SF2 and having done so, I'd broadly agree with your main points.....The games representations are certainly very heavy handed with the cannon ammo! -
uncam: Combat Mission campaign extractor

Mad Mike's tool is pre-CM:SF2, so it almost certainly won't work.....I wonder if Uncam needs updating to reflect the latest patch? -
I suspect Ian's in a similar place. That you can deliver the suspense of 'waiting for the turn' vicariously is a credit to your storytelling.

Need odd LOS issue looked at
Sgt.Squarehead replied to Lt Bull's topic in Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg
That's a very good post.....But I'm not 100% sure that it doesn't reflect the behaviour of men panicking, it's annoying as hell when it happens, but as I said, it does seem plausible once the unit has 'freaked out'. -
Theoretically you could give the impression of 'experience' and new issues of equipment by placing multiple identically named units within the core, then importing from them as appropriate.....The drawback of this approach is that if a named 'character' gets killed in an early variant of the unit, there is no way to edit the later iterations to reflect that, he will be resurrected!

That would make a decent hill-village for the Wai-Bong. I noticed the flavour object boats sit differently depending on where they are on a tile & what it is.....Too far into the shallows and they levitate! -

My mini-campaign will take a wander up into the highlands.....It goes downhill after that! Seriously! -
I thought there was an 'experience' setting in campaign scripts? PS - I've checked and there isn't, apparently there never was either, but I could have sworn I'd seen that option somewhere.....Must have been another game, but I can't imagine which one (one of the CM originals maybe)?

Not sure.....I think @Rokko may have missed a 't' in this comment But I could be wrong, I often am. -
Just realised I completely misread the orientation of this image.....Somehow I'd convinced myself Ian's forces are coming from the right.

Cool thread. -
This doesn't always work.....There's a chance the vehicle will flick to 'Destroyed' when the crew exits the map. If it were the other way around (Marines into an Army truck), it would be easily doable (crew are listed separately to the vehicles in an Army Supply Platoon), but that doesn't really help you much.

CMSF2 Dutch Campaign Revamp Preview

Great stuff.....I really like this campaign! Fenneks with .50cals and the full sensor array.....What's not to like! -

I was wondering about that.....It put's the full-width banner slightly off center too. -

I keep forgetting about movie-mode.....I'll give it a look, 'BeastIII' shouldn't have any issues I reckon. -
Can you mount infantry on tanks in CM:FI.....I forget? One of my favourite little packages in CM:RT is a StuG with a HMG team aboard, these two units in combination really can make a bloody nuisance of themselves, out of all proportion to their numbers, in situations like this.
-
I've been amazed by just how compatible it is.....Any CM:SF scenario seems to work in the new game, with only the T-72M-1V(2001) being swapped out (AFAIK). Bit sad about that T-72 TBH.....Considering the BF storyline is fictional and just how useful they would be to those modeling the actual Syrian conflict (and that the T-90SA is still available) it seems a bit superfluous to remove them. @Battlefront.com Is there any chance we might get them back in a future patch, maybe alongside Uncon Breach Teams?
-
If Von Reiser were to tuck his StuG into the bend in that road looking down toward the bridge, he would be a nightmare to get rid of, especially if you could position some infantry to defend his right flank.
-
We're assuming that the decision isn't random? I was experimenting with scenarios solely featuring Spies in CM:SF1 (all based on an image from @LongLeftFlank).....Getting weapons for them was a big part of the scenario, so if they won't pick them up any more it's all a bit moot.

Heaven & Earth: Project discussion thread
Sgt.Squarehead replied to 37mm's topic in CM Shock Force 2 Maps and Mods
@37mm & I disagree.....The 'Heaven & Earth' mod is really not Vietnam. It can be kind of close (accurate maps, reasonably accurate (looking & feeling) TOE (that's actually utterly wrong behind the scenes), but with problematic voice files). However it could be equally close to the drug war in the Golden Triangle (which is where my own scenarios will be focused) or (with a little more work on those tricksy voice files) even a putative Second Korean War (hoping @dragonwynn might come back to us on this one).....Thus a more generalised appearance suits it better.
