  1. Presumably when he fired them, he didn't expect them to be fruitless?
  2. I love those CR.42s. If you could get one of those into CM:FI, based on a speedy Axis vehicle (so that they can fast move along a 'runway' and then 'take off' in an exit zone) I could come up with scenario that would use them. PS - My personal favourite are the night-fighters: PPS - Come to think of it, with some effort in the editor and a little 'suspension of disbelief' on the part of the player I could probably do something with the Gladiator too.....Once again it would need to replace a speedy British (or, even better, South African, once we have RtV) vehicle. PM me in our thread if you want to mull the idea over, maybe talk to some of the Heaven & Earth crew.....I'd certainly be glad to help if I can.
  3. In terms of accuracy.....Maybe. It has the right gun but the ammo & armour are too good. But in game terms, the T-55 & T-62 are probably still the best bet.....Which is sad, because we can't pit (pseudo) M-48 Pattons against (pseudo) T-54s. IMHO sometimes it's better to accept the limitations you face and make the best compromise you can.....This will probably have to be one of those instances.
  4. Welcome (back) to the war! PS - Engine 4 adds lots of features to the games.
  5. That's the one. Dude.....Yours has a Pibber! And you made it sink! That rocks!
  6. Here's a preview of the current iteration of the mod in action courtesy of @Aquila-CM: PS - Worth noting that this video really shows CM:SF2's Spies utter reluctance to perform buddy-aid.....I really wanted to have Clark Griswold running around with a Kalashnikov, but it just doesn't seem to happen in the new game (the original CM:SF & CM:A's Spies are avid gun collectors).
  7. Two words.....The first is unprintable & the second is 'Yeah!'
  8. Or mod the Italian crew so they look (& speak) German.....That way you get the right weaponry Come to think of it, no you don't, the Germans replaced the Italian LMGs with MG-34s or MG-42s, but they kept the Italian 20mm AA & 47mm AT guns, just to be bloody difficult. TBH I actually want them in CM:RT most (yes they were a real thing in Russia, albeit not a terribly common one).
  9. Here, eventually.....I couldn't say exactly when just yet, but @37mm might be able to give you an idea.
  10. Very, very cool indeed. Could we get Germans into an AS.42/ABM.42, I wonder (the intricacies of modding being way beyond my paygrade)?
  11. I'd certainly be willing to cooperate on some WWII stuff, I have all of the games, but all I could offer would be maps & scenarios to test your wondrous creations.
  12. One more postcard of the delta, featuring the very latest mod set:
  13. Thing is, I don't think they should be there, something has got swapped incorrectly I reckon.....The guys went to a lot of effort with the voice files, this is a really comprehensive mod, I just can't emphasize that enough! I went for a separate install because it feels like a separate game. @37mm Thought you might want to investigate.....The anomalous sound file appears to originate with the swapped out truck in @Aquila-CM's video.
  14. @Geezer Could you perhaps wrap detailed skins around @Aquila-CM's new tank models? It would be truly awesome if we could cooperatively make a mod of this magnitude.....Actual M48s in Heaven & Earth! PS - @Mord Have you seen these yet? PPS - @Aquila-CM I will absolutely make a custom mission for these models, can't promise to do it fast, but I will do it.....Once we have the intricacies of riverine stuff sorted out, I'll look at doing something with that too. We have to be able to design the maps so that sneaky players can't take their 'Pibber' for an overland adventure (as they are based on amphibious vehicles), which is actually a harder proposition than it sounds.
  15. Awesome..... Dude that is so cool! I'd give you +100 if I could! That's a searchlight, it's fine for later M48A3s in Vietnam (there was also an earlier hexagonal type), the cover was kept on unless it was actually in use and it was often decorated: Here's a picture of a M48A3 in Vietnam with the dustcover removed: If you wanted to improve the AA MG further, a .50cal from a jeep should be a good source, the mount itself is very simple: Please could you tag it, T-55s are the best approximation we have of genuine NVA tanks and IMHO they are more widely useful with the mod.....Putting it on the same tag as the M113s would make a lot of sense. PS - Finally found it: C-23 'Disaster' the M-48A3 that's sitting on my desk, in miniature (1/72).
  16. If we could put the M60 on the T-62 and the M48 on the T-55 I reckon we'd have a very tolerable approximation of two very useful tanks in CM:SF2. Very, very impressive work.....Groundbreaking I'd say.
  17. Yup that one would be spot on.....It has a pintle .50cal on top of the cupola which is typical for 'Nam and would better match the underlying model (you could remove the MG in the cupola itself as they were usually the same gun). Here's a typical 'Nam spec M48A3: If you want more info about & pictures of this type, just give me a shout and prepare for a deluge!
