  1. A whole variety of different ring mounts for different vehicles.... http://www.usarmymodels.com/ARTICLES/MG Mounts/MGmounts page 1.html
  2. Some Putin quotes for you to mull over “Ukraine is an independent, sovereign state and will choose its own path to peace and security. . . . Such a conversation would be entirely appropriate and entirely possible. I certainly don’t see there being anything particularly tricky here, anything that need or that could cast a shadow over relations between Russia and Ukraine.” About Ukraine seeking membership in Nato, after the Nato–Russia Council was created at the Nato summit in Rome, May 28, 2002. "Russian troops in Ukraine? Got any proof?" June 2014 “Let me be clear… I will say this clearly: There are no Russian troops in Ukraine." April 2015 “We never said there were not people there who carried out certain tasks including in the military sphere.” Dec 2015 Do you you understand why Putin and Russian media / propaganda / disinfo is so distrusted.
  3. Seems there have been funerals for Russian army personel that don't get coverage in Russian media which doesn't want any mention of service personel deaths publicised to spoil the fiction that there are no - and there never were any - Russian troops in eastern Ukraine. Russian reporters 'attacked at secret soldier burials' and Ukraine crisis: Forgotten death of Russian soldier
  4. Just preempting the Russian angle on the Viking resurgance on world domination and the RT.com / Sputnik news headlines ;-) Combat Mission - Viking Horde or sumfink
  5. Other news just in: Warmongering Sweden bring back conscription "Ms Nyh Radebo said the return to conscription was prompted by "the security change in our neighbourhood". "The Russian illegal annexation of Crimea [in 2014], the conflict in Ukraine and the increased military activity in our neighbourhood are some of the reasons," she said."
  6. The ways things are going a future CM might see Putin deciding that flogging off Alaska was a regrettable mistake and the 1.4% of folk with Russian heritage still living there provide the pretext for a subtle invasion across the slush to claim it all back... Ice Lobsters of Doom has a nice ring to it.
  7. Usually a sign that an update/patch has been applied in the wrong order. Best reinstall.
  8. PT-16 was shown at Poland's MSPO defence exhibition late last year as a concept / demonstrator - subsequently it was a blogged upon and in turn was picked by other military blogs. Because photos and info are repeated between the blogs doesn't make it truer that production is assured. Motorcycle Industry has similar shows where Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha show off concept bikes to gauge consumer / trade / market interest and demonstrate new tech that might or might not directly feed into production models down the line.
  9. Maybe in a few years when battery tech improves i.e. 2170 battery cells etc. The autonomous Lily drone is dead and buyers are being offered refunds Europe's biggest Kickstarter has gone bust after raising $3.6 million
  10. Yes just park demo equipped pixeltroopen up close to the rear but watch out as crew inside once blasted can come out like a swarm of hornets - so also have some guns covering their escape from a distance. It can get messy.
  11. Re. Russian Sleepers - it has a precedent... Jack Barsky: The KGB spy who lived the American dream
  12. Greetings Best try the CM demo/s to see and get a feel through some of the included scenarios. You'll also find if your 'puter is up to scratch before hitting the purchase button.
  13. As soon as fire for effect is called then the spotter can move onto a new fire plan - possibly giving the illusion they're multitasking.
  14. Ah yes, who can forget classics like Panzers on Mars; and the immune to reason 'deep thinking' that led you to convince yourself that V2 missiles could be shot out smaller diameter hole from a supposed missle silo (in reality naval gun mounts) than the missile's diameter. Which IIRC was the final straw that lost you the job! But undeterred soon led onto craziness such as Nazi UFOs with underslung Panther turrets and Nazi A-Bomb vs. Russia-Kursk, 1943!
  15. Primer for you DMS from 2015 relating what's been occuring in Syria, but principles of their methodology are much the same in conflict areas. http://www.amnestyusa.org/sites/default/files/embargoed_5_may_aleppo_report_death_everywhere.pdf METHODOLOGY Amnesty International conducted research for this report from December 2014 to March 2015. From 15 to 19 December 2014 and from 12 to 30 January 2015, a researcher conducted fieldwork in Turkey. Additional research was conducted from Lebanon. For this report, researchers interviewed 78 current or former residents of Aleppo, including eyewitnesses to attacks, medics, rescue workers and members of the media, and 29 professionals working in or on Aleppo, including staff of UN agencies as well as national and international NGOs. Interviews were conducted either in person or by phone, email or virtual means. Due to the security concerns of residents of government-controlled areas in Aleppo city, Amnesty International had limited access to witnesses from these areas. The majority of witnesses in this report asked that their names be withheld, either to protect their own safety or the safety of family members living in Syria. While Amnesty International was able to visit parts of northern Syria in 2012 and 2013, it has not sent researchers to such areas in 2014 or 2015 due to heightened security concerns. The Syrian authorities have never responded to Amnesty International’s repeated requests to travel to areas they control since the start of the crisis in March 2011. For this report, Amnesty International reviewed Syrian government statements; reports from UN agencies, international NGOs and local monitoring groups; and media reports. It also reviewed extensive photo and video materials provided by Syrian human rights and humanitarian organizations, human rights activists and witnesses, and crosschecked them with witness accounts. While in Turkey, Amnesty International co-operated with several monitoring groups to gather information and to establish contact with witnesses and local experts. These groups included the Syrian Institute for Justice and Accountability, the Violations Documentation Center, the Syrian Network for Human Rights, and the Syria Research and Evaluation Organization. In March 2015, Amnesty International contacted the Syrian authorities to share its preliminary findings that the Syrian government had committed serious violations of international human rights and humanitarian law in Aleppo, to request a response to these findings and to seek clarifications and additional details on specific incidents and cases examined in this report. Amnesty International also invited the Syrian authorities to share information regarding potential violations committed by armed opposition groups in Aleppo city. As of 23 April 2015, when this report was finalized, Amnesty International had received no response.
  16. Greetings - Have you tried downloading any of the newer demos to get a feel for the multiple newer engined and featured CMs available now. They are all up to v4 apart from CMFI (very soon to be updated) , and CMSF which while lagging behind is still very playable.
  17. For those that want hand-to-hand combat there's always Mortal Kombat...
  18. Plus it would be problematic to code for enemy AI controlled tactics if armour was restricted in firing due to the proximity of crunchies in the vicinity.
  19. Loosely connected to Lobsters and funding.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-38561556
  20. Game spotting cycles aren't continuously carried out by the microsecond, add the degraded night time / predawn / un streetlamped visibility and it will lead to occasions where forces will stumble surprisingly into each other - heck as even most car drivers motorcyclists & cyclists will attest it happens at times even in broad daylight!...
