  1. I'm sure the Argentinians thought that the Falklands airfield was invulvenurable due to its location and local air defences right up until it got clobbered. http://www.b29-superfortress.com/b50-superfortress.htm The First Round-the-World Non-Stop Flight by Lucky Lady II One of aviation's most historical flights involved the B-50 and took place in early 1949, the first non-stop around the world flight. ... The flight successfully demonstrated to the Soviet Union, and other enemies, that the United States could launch air attacks to any war-zone in the world, and return the planes safely to U.S. bases.
  2. Plus if the war continued unabated the B-50 upgraded Superfortress with a ceiling of 11,200m could have been rushed into service sooner.
  3. Best lead with infanty to flush em out - use of sacrificial jeep optional
  4. Have an expansion each for RT and FB so it covers each way the direction it could have gone - & sell double the hotcakes! Or if BFC is generous and clever if it was installed in one game and it could could somehow detect the game libraries from other installed games to draw upon when making the battlefields and forces...
  5. Drone swarming software (Buzz) is open source and readily downloadable so it could be used by anybody computer savvy and with time on their hands to fine tune it to their needs. http://robohub.org/buzz-a-novel-programming-language-for-heterogeneous-robot-swarms/ https://github.com/MISTLab/Buzz
  6. Drone attack on an airfield - new one on me http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-42595184 The drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), used in the attempted attack were basic in design, Russian news site Lenta reports. The UAVs featured an engine taped to a wooden frame, which carried two "home-made mines", it added.
  7. "Fantasy" Vehicle Pack for CMFB and CMRT" *eyes light up* Yes please! then there's someway finding a way to get IS-3s, Centurions & T-28s to be on the same battlefield.
  8. I wonder how many of Wagners personel are retired Special Forces or just on on sabbaticals like the 'vacationing' forces in Ukraine. Kelly's Heros was quite prescient just instead of banks and gold bullion it's gas & oil wells as rewards!
  9. Wagner Group seems to be Putin's private army
  10. Appears to be working at my end - How does it appear not to be working at your end?
  11. Wokingham school Bonfire Night sets 'German battleship' alight A school in Berkshire has held a Bonfire Night with a difference by setting alight a replica of a Nazi battleship. Groundsman Steve Holland at Luckley House School in Wokingham, Berkshire, built a smaller version of the Admiral Graf Spee, which served with the Kriegsmarine of Nazi Germany during World War Two. The burning of the replica recreates the fate of the real ship, which was badly damaged and set alight by the Germans while being deliberately sunk.
  12. Possible solution could be if SVG files are used...
  13. An online source quotes a minimum engagement distance of 150 metres. PLus for the IR sight DDC (Detector Dewar Cooler) a cooling down time of 2.5 to 3.5 minutes.
  14. IIRC the cooling of the thermal sight takes at least 30 seconds or more.
  15. Should have some Austin K2 trucks leftover from landlease...
  16. Get the UN to subcontract out to North Korea to test a Hydrogen bomb into a hurricane just off Florida... Everyone's happy! especially Kim who simultaneously wins Nobel prizes for peace and science, and the Darwin Award.

  18. Kettlerian conspiracy theory thinking exemplified... False Positive - child’s drawing of a cucumber caused concern Staff at a nursery school threatened to refer a four-year-old boy to a de-radicalisation programme after he drew pictures which they thought showed his father making a “cooker bomb”, according to the child’s mother. The child’s drawing actually depicted his father cutting a cucumber with a knife, his mother says, but staff misheard his explanation and thought it referred to a type of improvised explosive device. On Friday the boy’s mother showed the Guardian video footage of her son in which he is playing happily on the floor of his home, and is shown a cucumber and asked what it is. “A cuker-bum,” he says, before going back to his toys.

  24. That's what seems what's being played at the moment - China has a soon expiring treaty to defend NK come what may and NK seems keen to go it alone with its own nukes if and when that assurance of protection runs out... US has reaffirmed protection of its regional allies from any overt shenanigans from NK - but has given some mixed messages with Trump saying “North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” - which NK statements have continued doing along with missiles flying left, right & centre... At best NK will implode (under sanctions) without any diect military intervention (due to mess that would make) but that doesn't seem an option that China/Russia can go along with as thy have an intrest in sustaining NK for their own reasons.
