  1. Well I've just stretched bocage all the way across a map (N-S) , light forest under its entire length, and altered 1 tile of bocage to hedge and it still works fine, with the Tiger plowing on through the one gap. Do you have a file you can send petewenman at navairart.com - @ for at of course P
  2. Not seeing this. Are you sure it is light forest and hedge, and not heavy forest and/or bocage both of which do block all vehicle movement? Any scenario or test that can be looked at ? P
  3. Oh believe me - you don't want it to get any tougher, and I'm talking from XXX Corps perspective. "Operation Market Garden Then and now" Vol 2 page 577 is open on my desk as we speak "It's a ridiculous place to try to operate tanks" - yep my pixeltruppen would agree P
  4. Hopefully this will help http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=98199 P
  5. Others will be along shortly to provide lots of detail, but as a start get hold of and play the demos CMBN http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1889&Itemid=318 CMFI http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2028&Itemid=318 HTH P
  6. Ian, you might be interested to hear that that railway bridge was the start of this map, and the first terrain element to go down. And the first thing I did before building any more of the map was to set a Pak40 up one side and run a Sherman towards it on the other side to see if indeed they could thread that needle. Result - one toasted Sherman in no time with a glorious shoot under the bridge arch - way cool to see for the first time. In your battle however I did expect the keyhole to work in reverse, but maybe DT wasn't paying enough attention! P
  7. With regard to the oddity with the terrain objectives points value, I suspect it has something to do with the following the last couple of lines in the V2 manual - page 103 It looks like the game is switching an element of the total points you allocate to an unit objective, in this case 33%. So this is a problem specific to QBs, which is why Jon and I haven't seen it before. Nice map by the way P
  8. If by topographic you mean as a map, with contours etc, then the answer is no. Anybody can take a scenario map into Photoshop or similar and draw one, but it is time consuming. On the positive side however the new map overlay feature always actual maps to be used within the scenario map making process and so the map file can be made available as a separate download, providing all the topo' info required. HTH P
  9. Also give consideration to the weather conditions - particularly the temperature as troops will tire more quickly in the hotter conditions. As the guys have mentioned above the trick is not to be fatigued at a time when you need to move quickly. P
  10. The use of the map overlay should help with this as in most cases the map will have a defined size at the start (to match the overlay) For all my recent maps I enlarge the map to the required size by alternatively increasing the size on the left, on the right, repeating until the desired size is reached (rinse and repeat for up and down). Doing this will see the map increase equally in size in all four directions, and so leave equal space to expand it if so desired. Don't forget that using the "shift" key in conjunction with the +/- buttons will incease/decrease the map in 80m chunks rather than the normal 16m Just in case anyone is interested Rauray is pretty much slap in the middle of my Breaking the Panzers scenario. P
  11. The vehicles look great, but the standard British camo' scheme was black over dark green P
  12. Not seeing this - copy me the bmp. file if you like and I'll check it petewenman at navairart.com P
  13. A couple more George MC's Wittmann's Demise - 2.5k x 2.5k Fire Brigade - 3.2k x 3.2k Schmiedestahl - 2.4k x 2.8k P
  14. Breaking the Panzers is 1.8k x 1.2k and came with the Commonwealth module You have Maltot but I've also made 2x2 Normandy which is in the repository - a search under my name will find it. Silence the Guns - Brecourt Manor is 2k x 500m so may be of use and came with CMBN P
  15. http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=select&id=52 Just scroll down until you find the submit file button (bottom rightish) and upload the file. It will then be checked before being made available. You don't need to do anything else It does need to be a rar. or zip. file however HTH P
  16. Not sure if you are aware, but click on the icon, hit 1 and then the tab key and that will do what I think you are asking for. If it's the Crossroads at Monthardrou you are playing I hope you enjoy it. The ATG is only the start ! P
  17. Without pictures it is difficult to know exactly what you are referring to. The height of the terrain tiles obviously comes into play, but so does the road/bridge width. If the bridge is narrower than the road it will cause a pinch. HTH P
  18. What's ironic is that no one bothers to check this kind of sweeping statement out before claiming it. It took me all of 2-3 minutes in the editor to establish that all vehicles including jeeps and trucks can cross trenches. P
  19. Just to help people understand the order. Basic Training Veteran Warrior Elite Iron. From the manual
  20. From the manual - page 103 "Only terrain objectives are considered for determining victory conditions in a QB. All other objective types and parameters are ignored. All terrain objectives are converted to OCCUPY objectives automatically." I guess that's the issue here. HTH P
  21. Same here, although lets be honest, out of the tin CMBO really needed a subdued mod. Lime Green grass anybody. Kumps mods were the bees knees, welcome back to the game P
  22. That's one of mine ! Cheers and glad you enjoyed it P
  23. That would be may guess, it's dangerous to assume you've knocked something out when you don't see it happen. P
