  1. The 75mm pack howitzer was used by the 1st Airlanding Light Regt RA at Arnhem, and I assume it was also used by US Airborne forces during the operation, so hopefully it will make it in. P
  2. I'm not going to argue, and a better interface was the first thing asked for on the beta boards once we got to play with the overlays. (Which does not mean it will happen) Best stop gap I can offer is to align all images as layers within a "master map" and either add all the required elements to one layer, or save the layers individually and use each as an overlay in turn. P
  3. I don't think these are an overlay issue, but to do with how the new elevation model works. This was introduced in CMFI to allow large elevation changes but does slow down saves and the likes. HTH P
  4. Ted hi I've just tested this, and it worked for me. I tested a squad both inside and out of a set up zone, and it worked for both when I started the battle. The separate teams do need to be at least one AS apart from the next to stop them recombining. HTH P
  5. All sorted - You saved the bmp with the alpha channels option ticked - I saved as a copy instead and it works fine. I've emailed the working file back to you, which hopefully will work without issue. P
  6. rake drop me the file to petewenman at navairart.com and I'll have a look. change at for @ of course P
  7. It should be working, and the steps are the same as for CMFI P
  8. You really think this can be resolved on the basis of the info you have provided ?? Come on give us something to go on ;-) P
  9. Just to add to what's been said, I don't see any trees in the images, so it may be you have them turned off as well ? P
  10. GSX - toggle Alt R to ensure the shaders on are. You will then see trees etc casting shadows on buildings, vehicles etc. This is from CMFI but still shows the differences. HTH P
  11. I'd try it step by step First up see if it runs ok as a consequence of moving the z folder, if not try a partial the full re-install. Others may know better! P
  12. Sounds like a mod's issue, have you made sure you've deleted them all? P
  13. It seems it doesn't save the search criteria. Just untick all the boxes except CMSF and enter Wenman as the search term and you should get all the files flagged P
  14. Great looking mod, and while I don't spend much time in this forum, I do want to have a look at this. Also to all potential scenario designers - just a reminder that I have 4-5 CMSF maps sitting in the depositary, all of which were designed to get as close to a European look as possible within the game. http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=search P
  15. It's not But reading the manual it does give enough hints that QB's are different from scenarios and once I realised that it was just a matter of understanding what we are seeing and what might be the reasons. The hot seating then confirmed it. P
  16. OK running this as QB does indeed reduce the objectives to just three. Having looked at other QBs and the manual I think the issue here is that both sides must have matching objectives, so in the case of this map the Axis objectives are in effect being deleted from the QB game. Both sides use the same objectives and gain the same points, so in effect a game of capture the flag, regardless of what type of QB, which does make sense. In addition the game seems to allocate it's own values to the objectives regardless of any number input in the editor. I've just hotseated this QB to establish that the Axis forces do indeed get points for occupying what according to the editor are the US objectives. P
  17. poesel - I've downloaded the latest file and can confirm the following 1. Each side has 3 terrain objectives set up in the editor, all are know to both sides 2. When going into the map (as a scenario) I can see 5 objectives at elite level when viewed from both the axis and allied side. (the 6th objective being the same for both sides.) HTH P
  18. If I'm understanding you correctly it sounds like you should change the objectives to be known by player only. It's an option when in the terrian objective editor. HTH P
  19. Mo - the best way to get a handle on things is to reverse engineer a scenario you like in the editor. George MC did this a while ago for CMSF but most stuff can be carried over to CMBN/FI. http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=1194 A search through this forum section will also throw up good stuff, and plenty of people are happy to answer questions. For me however scenario design is as much art as science, but other styles will differ. P
  20. He said fence - it's destroyed my entire immersion in this thread
  21. Not sure what you are after , but this might help http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=298&Itemid=511 Otherwise go into the Unit screens within the editor and all units are certainly listed there. P
