  1. They even managed to use the same member number.
  2. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Andrew Hedges: Which one sounds like "Have a pickle?"<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I think it's "Volle Deckung," which is said when the Germans are in a pickle.
  3. There is a limit to the number of ambush markers you can place, but I can't recall the number. As long as a unit is targeting an ambush marker it will remain active. The HQ unit laying the markers will target the last one it placed unless you tell it to target a different marker. Other units will target an ambush marker even if the HQ is targeting a different one, and even if the HQ moves away leaving the subordinate units out of command. (At least I am pretty sure it works that way.)
  4. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Fanatic: All you need is a few polygons around the guys waste and you'd add a nice little touch to winter scenarios, think about it.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> We already have a poo thread.
  5. 395 MB here, but that's just the ones I decided to keep. I'm sure there are some obsolete ones in there.
  6. MG tripods are hard coded too, as far as I can tell.
  7. I was a diehard Netscape user until recently. Netscape 6.0 sucks and 4.77 doesn't seem to work a lot of the time. I reluctantly switched to IE, but it is simply a better browser now. Yay CM!!!
  8. Check out the stuff the current high bidder has bought. He sounds serious.
  9. This would be a great feature, and as has been stated BTS will implement it if possible. Ciao, yunfat
  10. I would buy it as long as Fernando promises to repaint it for me.
  11. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Gordon: Pvt. Ryan, For the Allied winter vehicles I was doing 3 separate treatments; snow-covered, whitewashed, and snow-covered whitewashed. However, it seemed to be generating little additional benefit to have the snow-covered whitewashed versions, so I was planning on discontinuing them. Gordon<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> It always seems to work out that way. I always like what no one else wants. Oh well. Fernando's whitewashed vehicles look a little too antiseptic to me and I though some snow would bring them to life. I really like the snow covered ones you have here, but I was under the impression that the Germans painted or whitewashed much of their armor. I've gotten the Ardennes bug lately and I am picky about my snow.
  12. Those mods look great. I love the snowed on effect, but weren't the Germans much better about painting winter camo, or is that my misconception? While downloading the whitewashed Fernando mods from CMHQ I was thiking that they would look better with snow added to them. Have you tried that? I wonder how the combo of whitewash and snow would look. If you finish by the end of the month you could call it the Christmas in July mod pack. We could all dress up like Santa and have a BBQ.
  13. I don't know if someone has done one already, but I read Donald Burgett's "Seven Roads to Hell" the other day and the battle for Noville sounds like it would make a good scenario or operation.
  14. If it weren't for CM I wouldn't know what to do with my CM machine.
  15. I think David Aitken did the face mod that I use. He did it a long time ago and I haven't seen anything better since. Some people use the photorealistic face mod, but it doesn't appeal to me.
  16. You can keep the Priests back (and Shermans for that matter) so that they have limited LOS to the tops of tall buildings. You can flatten the tall buildings which might contain sharpshooters, FOs, or HQs spotting for mortars. Take down those big buildings from a safe distance and your job will be easier.
  17. Yeah, I knew that Max; I was just to lazy to point it out. I am anxious to check out your revision as soon as Manx's site is up. Also, didn't you say there was a plain helmet option? I didn't see it in the zip file.
  18. Manx, your site appears to be down. I hope it isn't intentional!
  19. Manx, your site is great, and I appreciate every bit of work you put into it. Run the site however you want to, as long as you keep it going.
  20. Maximus' new Feldgrau mod has a stick grenade in the belt. Maybe someone could try to put one in the boot, if possible. One problem I see with the panzerfaust is that it would probably have to stick up beyond the shoulder. Whatever weapons or accessories are added have to fit on the existing 3D model. Also, did panzerfausts have straps? All the photos I recall show the soldiers carrying them in their hands or resting on their shoulders. Another problem is that while CM soldiers never run out of grenades, they do run out of panzerfausts. You would have every German soldier on the map carrying a panzerfaust even though they only start with one or two (or none) per squad.
  21. The key word there was "toke." Now we know what Rob is up to. I think what Rob is referring to is that Dan has more work to do on the infantry and that other than changing the uniforms they have not yet been improved.
  22. As soon as Intel makes DDR compatible PIVs, BTS and Dell are going to announce a co-branded CM/Dell computer system. You'll be able to order a 2 Ghz PIV with a GeForce3 and CMB2B preloaded for $1,599. This is a rumor with no factual basis whatsoever, so feel free to spread it.
  23. You would run the batch file before you load your game. You can load CM first, then run the batch file, but you have to run it before you load your battle, so that you see the "generating 3D graphics" message. Also note that you have to install the latest batch file program last, which I think you have done. I don't know what else may be the problem, but Marco & Gordon are writing a program to replace the batch files. It sounds like it is close to done, so you might want to wait for it rather than driving yourself crazy with the batch files, unless you have an easily corrected error.
