I have found myself enjoying the game. Yes, it is much more difficult than the original, and there in is the beauty for me...I have to work harder to master it.

Just started this with an opponent in Germany. When we finish I will post an AAR. Playing via PBeM.

Late in the war, 1945, the 104th Infantry Division "Timberwolves", employed African-American troops. Lack of replacements led to their employment. They did very well.

Many years ago I was fortunate to visit the area. I walked the beach and imagined the Germans spraying the area while the troops rushed ashore. I just shook my head and tried to comprehend the horror they faced...I raise a glass to all of them that stepped off those landing craft and began the long, bloody march into Germany.

What you want to do cannot be done. Planes are abstracted in CM.

Just tried out the demo - I am using a low end system; Win XP with SP3, 2 gigs of ram, and an Nvidia 6200 graphics card. Demo loaded just fine and got right into the action. While the graphics displayed are not the most detailed, they are adequate for my system. What is most important is that I can play it!

Kind of reminds of those people who see the Virgin Mary in a cheeto, or _____________. You fill in the blank.

As Battlefront as said in the past - the Pacific Theater will not happen. As much as I would like it to, it won't. It's been talked about in several forums - going back to the old CM series.

Soon to be 55 - started gaming in 67 when I received Afrika Korps and Jutland (Avalon Hill). When CM:BO came out in 2000, my oldest was 9 years. In 2011, she's 19, soon to be 20 and wrapping up her freshman year at Georgia Tech, majoring in Industrial Engineering.

My grandfather, who was a combat engineer during WW2, did pick up German weapons -- but he never used them. He sent them home as souveniers.
