  1. Louch - It's what I was thinking to do. I've sketched out the map addition so I have an idea of what I want it to look like. As soon as 1.07 comes out I will make the additions to the scenario.
  2. Louch and Bodkin - Thanks for the feedback - I will probably make more tweaks when 1.07 comes out by extending the map and having the US come in a bit further back. I was a bit conscience of the hit some systems take with large maps hence the somewhat smaller map in the current battle. The original Morgan's Stand in CMBO did have a larger map and US units had to cross a bridge to get to their beleagured comrades. If a bridge is doable in the CMSF editor I haven't figure it out. Believe it or not the Army can win - I've had two players email me with their results. It was close but doable. Out of curiosity did the Syrian mortars have any affect? 3. To All - I have uploaded version 2 of Morgan's Stand to CMMODS. Also posted in CMSF Scenario/Campaign forum. Been getting more reads here than there. I added the missing Syrian FO so the mortars can be used and slightly reduced the number of US reinforcements. As always feedback is appreciated.
  4. I have uploaded version 2 of Morgan's Stand to CMMODS. Feedback is appreciated if play it. Thanks.
  5. I've gotten feedback in the main forum and will tweak the scenario this weekend.
  6. Bodkin - I'll fix the FO omission and a few other items in the Morgan's Stand scenario. Will work on it this weekend. Stingray - Glad you liked it! Thanks for the feedback!
  7. Louch - Thanks for the notes. I will keep that in mind the next time I tackle a scenario. I also posted in the CMSF Scenario folder.
  8. Bodkin - Thanks for the input - I have noted your suggestion. The Syrians do get some ATGMs as reinformcements but unfortunately I cannot tell the editor what type to supply. I'll see what others have to say and when I have enough input to start tweaking I will put out a revised version. Stingray - Thanks! Which side did you play and how did it turn out?
  9. Mark - Thanks! Hope it plays well for you. Steve
  10. Paper Tiger - I have to admit my computer is a few years old and I am playing CMSF in a low quality mode. The picture posted is from a scenario I just completed and uploaded to CMMODS - it was my first attempt at using the editor. I'll keep an eye on it when I play some of the smaller, tiny battles from CMMODS. If it crops up in those tiny battles where CPU usage is not that great then it's probably something else.
  11. I have finally completed my first battle using the editor. The final result has been posted at CMMODS. I am looking for feedback so I can improve the battle and apply improvements in future scenarios. Battle is titled "Morgan's Stand" and is an adaption of one I did for CMBO many years ago.
  12. I have finished the battle, having tweaked the map. Plays much more intensely for both players. I have uploaded the finished product to CMMODS. As always I am looking for feedback since it is my first attempt with the CMSF editor.
  13. I adapted an old CMBO scenario I did for CMSF - it's pretty rough for a first attempt so I am looking for feedback. It was my first time tackling the editor. In this battle, a weak US company must defend the village of Bar-el-Saddam against a determined Syrian attack. It has been uploaded to CMMODS. Thanks.
  14. This has cropped back up for me with 1.06. Notice the crucifiction guys all over the place! This a screen shot from a scenario I am working on.

  16. SgtMuhammed - After much tinkering I was able to figure things out and playtested the scenario. It seems I did everything right - reinforcements came in on time - they Syrians tried to follow the plan I laid out for them. I designed it as human vs. human play, then red computer vs. blue human. The Syrians did come close to taking their objectives but a counter-attack by timely US reinforcements saved the day. The only problem I saw was that the Syrians lost to many of their units on the few first turns. Line of site to set up zones from US positions allowed a Bradley and a M1 to wreak havoc on them. I need to tweak the terrain to compensate for that. If you'd like to give this raw battle a whirl I can email it to you. Consider it a beta...
  17. Sgt. Muhammed - Thanks for the link but there was no text to go with the pictures. Couldn't really tell what was going on with pictures only in the AI Script section.
  18. Ok I've gotten to this point and I am stumped. While the manual does a good job explaining what the items are it doesn't really tell you how to do it. Does anyone know of a resource on-line explaining the procedures to do this - if one exists at all? I really need some help with this part. The scenario I am designing is mainly for human vs human, then red computer vs blue human. Edit: I have been able to figure out how to assign my groups but have a question about painting objectives. The first step is setup when assigning orders to each group. Is the set up area determined during the map creating phase or do I need to paint the set up area during the AI scripting phase also? Thanks in advance for any and all help provided. [ February 10, 2008, 03:07 PM: Message edited by: Frenchy ]
  19. I am working my way through the editor and find it a bit bewildering, especially when it comes to deploying units. I haven't attempted the scripting part yet. It seems when you deploy units - even reinforcements - they are slapped together. Trying to distinguish which are my initial deploy troops and which are reinforcements is next to impossible short of remembering unit designations as to initial deployment and which are reinforcements. Am I mistaken? Be nice if there were a color cue for R1 units, R2 units, etc... How does one place a reinforcement entry point - just place the units where you want them to come in? Thanks in advance.
  20. Quite a few years ago I adapted the ASL scenario "Morgan's Stand" for CMBO. I am thinking of doing it for CMSF - it will be my first attempt at doing one for CMSF. I have listed the units involved in the orginal and am asking suggestions for units that should be used in CMSF - I am picturing US Army vs Syrian. US - a depleted company with 2 bazookas and a M4 Sherman and a M-10. Reinforcements 1 platoon and a M-7. US units are veteran. German - 17 squads, 2 LMGs, 1 MMG, 4 PzIV, 1 HT and one HT with a mortar. German units are regular. Objective of Germans was to capture the defended town of Bar-le-Duc I appreciate the suggestions.
  21. RockinHarry - Be sure to watch the video demo they have on the info page for the program. It's better than the "manual". You watch it and you'll be off and running with it.
  22. Rockin Harry - Both icon sets are there.
