  1. Also video shows that we need some dust/smoke kicked up in the game when we tear through a hedge.
  2. Because the manual says that all preplanned strikes are on target. Period. Anyways already reported as bug. Good. Progress!
  3. Now this is interesting. I wonder if Steve knows about this?
  4. Load up "Roadblock" training mission. Have your 4th platoon HQ do a preplanned mortar strike (line strike, far side of map, no LOS, medium, max) with your on board mortar. Now according to the book this strike SHOULD always be on target. Was it? For me, the first 15 rounds were all off target. Then they eventually found their mark. Not how it should work.
  5. Wiggum, In your example are you playing "Iron" mode? and if so, is your mortar HQ team hiding? In the screenies above they are close to the ground so I ask if they are hiding. Hiding units in "Iron" mode will make them lose C2.
  6. Tank crews getting out of destroyed tanks and turning into Rambos. I am not saying that a .45 isn't a better weapon than a Kar98 at close range (I would take the .45 any day) but I think the tankers need to be a little more panicked after bailing, at least for a few minutes. In fact, I think most crews, after getting out of a destroyed/burning tank and finding the enemy right there would surrender immediatly.
  7. Wow. Imagine that German stretcher bearer team at the end of the game with 6 panzerfausts and 4 MG 42's! LOL!
  8. When you put two trench tiles next to each other they will "click" together in the direction you want. A single tile, though, you cannot set a direction.
  9. In testing I have found quite a few mortar/radio glitches and reported them. It would be great if Steve could comment on this but he is pretty busy. They are probably looking at this and will comment/fix when they can. Dont worry, you are not the only one seeing mortar/radio problems. I have 5 or 6 bug threads in the beta forum about this sorta thing. Well, not exactly this but I am sure it is all related.
  10. But you missed it. Look at the prebattle intel (the greyed out "?" on the map before you hit go for the first turn). See in the woods? There is something in there and that should be enough to tip you off that you cannot just dash in there. Also for the MG I run him down the long road running across the back of the map to the other side of the battlefield and setup behind the hedgeline there facing the trenches. He gets full view of trenches and shoots targets every turn.
  11. Yes we know what TRPs are in real life I just want to know how/why they work in this game. See original questions in first post.
  12. True. When I first tried CMBO Demo "Last Defense" as Germans I was FLOORED that a hellcat (what the hell is that?) could kill my tiger!!!
  13. It is harder to keep C2 in Iron because the units have to actually spot each other at a distance and not just be in LOS and range of each other. Try this in Iron. Put a HQ unit and a squad in the woods where they have visual C2. Now hide one of them. Visual C2 is lost because they cannot spot each other. Iron mode makes C2 harder.
  14. 1. If I want to shoot my mortar at a TRP I have to have the mortar HQ or higher ask for it. Why cant I just go to the mortar team and request the shooting directly? I mean, you can target direct with a mortar team if you have LOS so why cant they shoot a TRP directly? 2. If I move my mortar team during a game how is it they can still fire at a TRP? In CMx1 wasn't the TRP null and void for a mortar team if they moved to simulate the data going out the window?
  15. I find it odd that the mortar HQ team can order the mortar to fire at a TRP but the mortar team itself cannot.
  16. On the top pic with the guy closest to the camera walking away: what is that "rocket" that is pointing down? Is that a round for a panzerschreck? HUGE!
  17. I discovered this in beta testing and I was told that it will be fixed.
  18. I keep seeing an "Amazing" thing happen.
  19. Sometimes I see a gap in a low bocage that my troops cannot go through. THEN I see another one the same size and troop CAN go through. A little more definition would be good.
  20. Nope. Spotter shows no kills unless he rifles them himself.
  21. SPOILER Y'ALL! Nope. Try flanking around and stay the hell outa that orchard! They have that orchard zeroed in! Try a different tactic.
  22. No email for me and I ordered a LONG time ago. Sad...I want it now!
