Tactical Wargamer
Awesome bone this week from the pics we saw!! Whats next?? Lets see. 1) Another Bone for the Xmas weekend 2) Website up early January 3) Mid to late January pre-orders 4) Early February release? OK what do you think? Realistic. Whats your take. ps I know aimless speculation but it is fun to pass the time.
Elmar Bijlsma
I'm thinking longer. There's so little seen, so much reluctance to show it. All that doesn't match with such a *cough* early release. At this point I'm leaning towards a mid to late Spring release.
phil stanbridge
I'm thinking Feb too. There's a lot of progress made. Let's not forget the bones are action shots and not just artwork. I reckon it's almost there. BFC have been reasonably slow to post bones in the past - so let's give them the benefit of the doubt.
c3k
June... June 7th... The day AFTER the anniversary of the landings...

stikkypixie
June 2011, you heard it here first. (Well after c3k, but still)
Scipio
I think it will be late second quarter, more likely third quarter 2011. Not because of any aniversary, but BFC usually releases their stuff this time of the year.
Blackcat
I am not quite gaga yet (though my wife might argue the point) and so I think I can state with some degree of certainty that towards the end of 2009 Steve said that they could get Normandy out before Christmas but would probably hold it over to the New Year. Twelve months later and here we are having much the same conversations. The screen shots are nice, but then so were those released last spring. It will be done when 'tis done and I am sure it will be very good when it comes. That might be in 2011, but there again it might not. Did anyone think this time last year that two Christmases would pass before we saw the game?
Tactical Wargamer
Feb 2012 or later? YIKES.....I was thinking 2011:eek:
gibsonm
Nope, I doubt it. It'll be ready when its ready.
sfhand
According to Steve in the latest bone pile: "... As I've said to many of you may times before, we're cautious about what we post because we leave smoothing out graphical rough edges to the very end because they have no impact on game testing or scenario balancing. Which means for a long period of time it's difficult to produce screenshots that truly reflect what the game's status and what it's final look will be. Now that we've started the process of fixing the graphics glitches we feel it's time to post a few shots. More will come in the very near future and then hopefully soon after you guys will be able to post your own screenshots..." From this a couple of deductions can be made. 1) they are at the very end of the production process (presumably feature creep has stopped) 2) we will, hopefully, be playing the game soon after the very near future...
gibsonm
Well that's either a very optimistic reading or you are talking about a different product. I don't know you guys keep asking asking for bones / screnshots and when you get them you instantly assume it's release is just around the corner. Consistent at least. It's been like this since CM:SF. Keep fishing though. Merry Christmas!
c3k
Merry Christmas! Ah hah! A Christmas release! A Beta Tester has let slip, inadvertently, the release date! "Merry Christmas"? Yes, indeed... Thanks for the "clue". Ken (never one to jump to foundationless conclusions)
gibsonm
And for a bonus 10,000 points, pick the year.
Erwin
Actually, releasing it for June 2011 on the anniversary of D-Day would be a clever marketing strategy. I don't believe there are other WW21 Normandy games slated for release around that date. (The mass market, I think has burned out on WW2 shooters.)
MeatEtr
February? The game needs to be completed in about one month for that to happen. Dream on.
bodkin
Look on the bright side we'll all have something else to look forward to other than 'medication time' and sponge baths while in the Gods Waiting Room retirement home - and no drooling on the keyboards!
Nicdain
I am guessing a late (2011) spring release, but I am hoping in a (2010) Christmas opening for the website. At least something more meaty to chew

Elmar Bijlsma
Will we learn the title before release? That's the big question.
gibsonm
Will we learn the title before release? That's the big question. I guess so as I'd expect there to be some trailers before it comes out and perhaps the dedicated forum would be "stood up" either just before or concurrently.
noxnoctum
I'd put my money on march.
panzermartin
Well from the screens and Steve's posts it is obvious that there is quite a lot of polishing left. I think even some animations are not done yet (ATGs crews?). No videos either-I remember we had plenty of those well before CMSF's release..I would bet on a June release to be honest.
Apache
Yep, 6 June maybe?
