  1. Being just a lurker most of the time since February, I would like to add to the cheers for the liberation of Kherson by the UA. This is a great day! Although the RA seems to have managed to complete a decent retreat on the eastern bank of the Dnipro, it is still a retreat; it is evident to anyone that they have lost the only big ukrainian city conquered so far. This cannot go unnoticed among Russian military and citizens. Will Putin be able to keep control of the situation?
  2. https://www.cityam.com/kremlin-on-high-alert-as-coup-rumours-grow-in-moscow-disgruntled-generals-join-fsb-looking-to-oust-putin-and-end-ukraine-war/ Coup rumors in Moscow according to City AM, a financial british newspaper. How reliable?
  3. In the days preceding February 24, they perjured that they would not carry out any invasion of Ukraine ... how can we trust russian statements?
  4. He just wanted to lay waste on a neighbor country in order to deny or delay its development and welfare. It's a barbaric act, perpetrated by an evil, sick man. If he just wanted Donbass, why kill civilians/military and destroy properties, as well as send to death ten of thousands of his own soldiers in the useless Kyiv operation? So in Putin mind, life have so little if not no value? I am not an expert in military operations, but each and every day this war makes very little sense.
  5. but shouldn't be an advance in rough and wooded terrain more easily exploited by the defender to set up ambushes?
  6. A great blow for Ukraine! I wouldn't like to be in the shoes of the one who has to tell Putin... Probably, as was said previously in the forum, a carefully planned attack by the UA, but I am truly amazed that the Russian Navy flagship got caught so sensationally by surprise. Another sign of the general poor quality of the Russian military apparatus? One would think that in a conventional confrontation with NATO, the Russians would capitulate in a short time ...
  7. What seems strange to me is that Russia should have spy satellites too. Why can't they have the same level of intelligence on UA positions or movements?
  8. It's satellite. It's a constellation of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite-borne sensors owned by this private company (Capella Space https://www.capellaspace.com). Usually this constellation is meant to be used for weather purposes.
  9. the amount of propaganda BS that comes out of his mouth is impressive. the really worrying thing is that I don't think there are many possibilities for dialogue with this Russia
  10. All of what is written in that article is crazy ... and scary. It seems to come directly from the early years of last century. I wonder how it is possible that there are people who are still trying to justify Putin ...
  11. Following what Der Zeitgeist said, I checked Maxar satellite imagery search website (https://discover.digitalglobe.com). Between February 28th and March 31st, there have been 4 overflights by Worldview 2 and 3 and Geoeye 1 very high resolution satellites over Bucha (on February 28th, March 18th, 21st and 31st). So plenty of images to check, contrary to what Southfront claims
  12. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-60949791 I don't know if it has already been reported. this is absolutely criminal. they will have to pay for it
  13. Hi everyone, I've been absent from Battlefront.com forums for a long time. When this war started I thought that a discussion on the subject was surely ongoing on BFC forum, so it's since the end of February that I am following this thread daily, even more often than TV news or social networks. I just wanted to thank BFC and all the people bringing forward this thread, sharing invaluable news and information on this tragic war. I hope that Ukrainian people regain their freedom and peace as soon as possible Niccolò
  14. Keep it up! I am from Tuscany and I am very interested in the battles that were fought before and after the liberation of Florence
  15. Yes! That's the Apennine Range rising!!
  16. OMG! Your post brought to my memory things I almost forgot! Desert Rats for Spectrum! Actually my first computer wargame! I played SL as well in those times, with Fulda Gap (SPI?) and Seelowe (don't remember the publisher)
  17. Will the 2.0 upgrade fix the issues found with 1.11 patch (graphical appearance of soldiers, game freezes at the briefing screen)?

  19. I still have big issues with the 1.11 patch, even if I completely deleted the "Z" folder. I reverted to 1.10 (CW forces module) and all goes fine. But when I reinstall 1.11 patch, problems comes out again. British soldiers are shown with berets instead helmets, with no gear and no weapons. Some scenarios won't load (actually the game freezes) after the briefing screen. Is someone experiencing the same issues? Thanks
  20. Same problems here with the 1.11 patch for MacOS X. Some Commonwealth Forces scenarios freeze when at the briefing, and others start but all soldiers have berets and no weapons. I took all the mods as well.
  21. The feathers that make the so called "Piumetto" are black because they belong to a particular rooster, the capercaillie
