panzermartin
Game is only a month away and we need to decide on whose side is everyone here. I'm leaning more towards the cult Syrians myself..Cool russian toys, curses in arabic, kornets, retro T-55s, assault Ladas, recoiless pickups..these guys have everything. Plus, they are defending their country against all people's favourite bad guy right now, Uncle Sam . More challenging too and a chance to see what tactics can work against the world's most powerful army.

Beastttt
I seem to be the only yet to choose the Americans sorry M1A2 is da sexy
MikeyD
Campaign's American-only. But stand-alone scenarios are supposed to be free-wheeling. Red-on-Red, blue-on-blue. Heck, I wonder if we'll get to mix & match for Red & Blue vs Blue & Red! So there's an outside chance we'll be able to play Abrams & IEDs versus Blue airpower & T55s. Wacky!
Nemesis Lead
I'll take the Syrians. American equipment is not invulnarable and a crafty player should be able to punch holes in M1s.
Sergei
Doesn't really matter, I'll suck anyway.

NoxSpartana
@ Sergei I'll probably play Syrians online (vs other humans that is)... I love to take the "weaker" side and obliterate the more traditional, brute force, armies in games with unusual tactics.
Severin
Yeah, I gotta say I'm looking forward to playing the syrians as well. Maybe the uncons won't be shouting "Allahu Akbar" when they fire their RPGs, but I know I will.

Foobar
US vs AdamL as Syrian. He seems to have have a penchant for David and Goliath battles, but unfortunately he will still be using slingshots and rocks, and I will roll up on him in an Abrahms.
Flanker15
Syrian Cause, well nobody likes the US
Sgt Joch
Interesting most players are picking the Syrians. I like and will play both sides, but I see I won't have any problems finding opponents when I want to play the U.S. side and kick some Syrian ass!
Chelt
US vs. US. I'm already planning a series of "Bear Flag Republic" scenarios.

YankeeDog
I'm sure I'll be playing every which way, but based on my preferences in CMx1, I suspect I'll find playing as Syrians more interesting. Through all of the CMx1 series, I've always found it more interesting to play the short end of the technology stick: trying to KO Tigers with Shermans or T-34s, or T-34s with Pz28(t)s and Pz(III) Kurz, or KO T-34(85s) and JS-IIs with nothing more than Panzershrecks and Panzerfausts, etc. So once I've played through the campaigns, I suspect I'll be playing Syrians the majority of the time.
pad152
Still wish this was more of an middle east war game, with add-ons for all of major middle east players
