Am still working my way thru the first part of the campaign and am very impressed with Mission 6.  3 hours long and a map almost as huge as the one in the standalone "Mission to Maas" scenario.  Mission 6 could easily be a standalone mission.
theforger has created some of the most enjoyable and impressive scenarios for CMFB.  

Haiduk is in the same horrible predicament, and in all these years on this Forum I've never heard him utter spiteful words or ask him for revenge or show hate.
He must have the same feelings of bitterness, resentment, horror and yes, maybe an intense hate for the Russians, but he always kept his reactions on this Forum civil.
Maybe I am too sensitive about the spitefulness of one Forummember, but if that is so, than my admiration for Haiduk grows even greater.

So been tracking this daily, now that we are in Day 9.  I do not post my resume, largely because most people would not believe it if I did, so take what I say -as with everything else these days- with a good dose of salt.  But in my professional opinion I would sum up the Russian performance thus far as:

Not surprising, I saw another estimate on twitter of roughly 68% In the initial phase of a war, a majority of citizens generally support their own government. That may change if the war lasts months and turns decisively against RussIa.
Implication of course is that the western hope that Putin may be overthrown in a few days or weeks is just wishful thinking.

It's kind of interesting that at the beginning of the war (one week ago!) it was generally agreed that Ukraine would be difficult to defend because the Russians could attack from nearly all directions at the same time. Now the story is that the Russian 5-axis plan was weak and impossible to pull off.

I'm leaning towards thinking that the plan was within the strategic capacity of the Russian army - on paper. But that the incompetence at lower levels turned out to be much higher than Putin and his generals realised.

Some captured vehicles around Mykolaiv for today


Some news form other palces - UKR forces yesterday took back Tokmak town in Zaporizhzhia oblast, but today new wawe of enemy attack and the city encircled again. 
Ukrainian army hit enemy brigade's command point in Dytiatky village Kyiv oblast (can't confim, just a news)
Russians hold most part of Kherson city, but sometime there are sporadic clashes. Local mayor by unknown reason didn't arm city territorial defense unit and that guys tryed to ambush enemy vehicles just with Molotovs, but probably they were betrayed and almost all were shot out in the park, when Russians approached. At least 8 KIA. 
Russians destroyed two railroad bridges - one near Voznesensk, Odesa oblast, other in Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast 
Energodar - civilans have been blocking Russian column on the road to the town, where largest in EU nuclear plant is located. Two days ago Russian tried to enter the city, but citizens didn't allow them to pass.

I'm ok, thanks. About arty, I'm hearing it work somewhere  in our district. Several days ago that was 2S7 Pion, and now some less powerfull

My impression is that the UKR forces are going for a dispersed, flexible and in depth defense. Company/ battalion (at most) level attacks and defense plays, esp in the open country  They're generally avoiding getting stuck in enduring firefights.
Not quite shoot n scoot - more like Punch In the Face, Step Back. Punch in the Gut, Step Back. Repeat.

Some pro Russian sources are reporting Russian forces have reached Brovary only 10 kms or so from the eastern side of Kyiv and attacked a checkpoint there. 50.490147, 30.736567

Could they have really reached the eastern outskirts of Kyiv?
Edit : last confirmed position appears to be around Pryluky which is 100 km away so most likely just guesswork, or just some forward elements.

Would the Russians notice that their supply lines are cut given that they have no supplies?

I am ashamed of the actions of my government, I hoped to the last that there would be no war and this is just a bluff. Now anti-war rallies are taking place all over Russia, no one supports this war, there are a bunch of idiots who support it, but I assure you that the majority of the population is AGAINST THIS WAR. 
I honestly empathize with Ukrainians, but in no case will I rejoice at the death of our Russian soldiers! Young guys who could live a long life and do so much good in life, and not die for the sake of crazy ideas.
