Unless things have changed, Engineers can only detect mines, and if they sit on them long enuff can "mark" them to make them a little safer to move through (slowly).  But, the mines are never "cleared".

Patches never remove files only replace existing and add new ones. So, if you are applying patches to the system you have, you will not experience the same problem again.

problem seems resolved !! For some strange reason. I had to first install CMBS engine 3.0 and then, proceed with engine 4.0 full install. Does that make sense ?
Anyhow, it worked 👽

surely , this is AGAINST law/legal what ever they say in military conditions . Not sure - is there a threshold how long civvies can continue being targeted ? As in . Oh a hit , oh another hit , ohh another building hit .. i mean. How long ?

This is not unconrol sharing of the weapon. You come to enlist center and enlists either to local Territorial defense battalion as reservist-contractor, and receive all gears and weapon, or like a volunteer, attached to this battalion, and then, you receive only a rifle with ammunition (or you can take own legelly bought rifle). So, these units are combatants, because they are acting under subordination of local Territorial Defense Command and local civil administrations, which during martial law times also are a military administration.
BTW. USSR in 1941 also armed dozen thousands of civilians in so-called "fighter battalions" (rus. "istrebitel'nyi battalion") or united them in so-called "people militia divisions". Why in that case it is god and why in our cas it is bad?  

Incredible. The Ukraininan spokesperson began his address at the UN emergency session by essentially pleading for mercy on behalf of the Russian soldiers. Before even mentioning his own country's military and civilian casualties.

What's amazing to me about all this is how incredibly stupid it is for Putin.  He is dictator for life and there's no conceivable way that changes unless he does something that unites the people and the elites against him.  So he decides to do the one thing that could leave him swinging from a lamp post.   And for what?  To own a super hostile, wrecked country and the eternal hate of most of the world?  Clearly he is having issues w risk/benefit analysis. 

Steve there are a lot of medium sized countries that would be a lot better off if you were the new defense minster.

If this end up being a complete Russian fiasco I would hate to be the generals who will have to face Putin.

I'm ok. I just too tired about all these news monitoring, so I havn't enough energy to write here. Today I tried to depart my wife from the city to her parents in more calm Cherkasy oblast, but we can't reach to railway station. Municipal transport stopped on the left bank of Kyiv, though on the right it works like and subway. 
All day from my balcony, wich exits to Obolon' and Vyshhorod periodically heard a sounds of shellings. Now I heard outcoming shots of our 2S7 Pion guns, located in 5 km from my house close to city limit. They fire somewhere to the west, where Russian troops concentrates to attack on the city. All day there were periodycal clashes on the line Irpin'-Bucha-Vorzel-Hostomel. There was attempt of Russian tank attack from Chernobyl zone through Ivankiv on Kyiv, but because of we had a time to demolish the bridges through the Teterev river, they halted. 

Russia now saying that if Finland were allowed to join Nato that there would be severe military repercussions.  Is this how the sTory goes, Putin threatens military action to paralyze nato in case ww3 kicks off.  Bit of a rock and a hard place in my opinion.  If nato does nothing putin will grow bolder and ww3 may still happen, probably even more likely.

The extent to which CMBS is prophetic is utterly terrifying. Read the novella the U.S. Army armor officer wrote at the beginning of the CMBS rollout. The parts that are not absolutely dead on easily could be by this time next week.
 

NATO rapid force being deployed to Eastern front !! To bolster the defenses (of existing NATO Allies) and offer support to Ukraine . This is CMBS - almost prophetic

overflowing recruitment offices no Ukraine formations surrendering or abandoning positions (we have seen this from Russians)  many cases Ukrainians fighting to a last man or sacrificing their lives for the cause Ukraine cities and people are remaining stoic. (no panic, no looting) Government and officials showing no sing of wavering  civilians indeed taking to arms I think we are looking at the "worst case scenario" for the Russians in terms of Ukrainian will to fight.

I would also expect Russian supply lines starting to get hit soon. They have cover a lots of ground fast with relatively little forces.

Seems we will be seeing urban battles in Kiev today.

It looks to me very suicidal for the Russian to drive in to a major metropolitan area with determined enemy resistant with isolated company+ forces.

Compare this to what US has had to do in major Iraq urban operations and still had trouble.

Are they hoping to replicate the US "Thunder run"? I think they will get their teeth kicked in that case.

What went wrong, clearly, was they didn't expect the Ukrainians to put up such spirited resistance. Silver lining in such a horrible situation.
