  1. One thing you might like to try with the MG42 is to use it "Semi-Deployed". To achieve this from a hedgerow I set a waypoint just before the MG Team reach the hedge, then have them "Slow" up to it, therefore the gunner will be lying down on the bank with his gun pointing towards the enemy, and not sat below it with the gun deployed.
  2. I've never sustained any casualties in game. But, it would make sense in real life.
  3. I live directly on the flight path that the Dakotas took on their way to Normandy on the 5th. It was a great sight and sound, both exciting and poignant.
  4. Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha...... For those occasions when "lol" just isn't enough.
  5. Ah, I didn't know that the any of Inklings were involved in SLOD
  6. "It is an ex-pixeltroop. It has ceased to be." ... I thought I'd get that one in first.
  7. Nice shooting, both by the tank gunner, and yourself.
  8. Unless you have something to add, why start a new thread?
  9. It was built by White, hence the use of that name by the Limeys and the Commonwealth forces.
  10. You can just imagine the trouble I got in with Elizabeth with I came home with a brand new copy of "Never Mind the B-word". She wouldn't let me get anywhere near the mechanical shellac plate listening device, and she gave my quart of ale to the dog.
  11. Never mind the B-word. If you can find one in your somewhat childish picture, then perhaps you ought to go to Specsavers.
  12. There has been an "inkling" that the next BFC product will be CM Narnia. Well, someone had to say it.
  13. To paraphrase Dartford Mick and The Tax Dodgers "If you moan too much, you might just find you get more than you need".
  14. Sorry Sarge, I thought that was your religion.
  15. Neither, given that I was replying to a comment made by the good Sgt. it would Worcesteshirish.
  16. What the troops on Omaha would have given to have had a landing that was only "rather miserable".
  17. It wasn't the beach landing mission I disliked. It was mission 2 or 3 that ruined the campaign for me. And I'd be happy to give a reworked version a whirl, provided there were no fictional PZIVs in it.
  18. I have to agree with @user1000. It is pretty rubbish. Of course his reasons for disliking it might be different from mine. Personally I've never been a fan of campaigns that contain fictional PZIVs.
  19. I was thumbing through Vol. 2 of Then and Now's Operation Market Garden this morning. Some nice pictures of PIATed and 6pdrs Chars.
  20. Lucky for me that Elizabeth wont let me watch daytime TV. "Noddle bonce, once you've finished in The House, you can talk a walk around St. James, then come home for your supper with a pint of my ale in front of BBC Four".
  21. I've always found that the angle at which a tank round hits a building plays a large part in what happens inside. In your case, as a defender I would be more than a tad annoyed at the outcome of this shot. As the attacker I would be praising the lord, and telling him not to bother passing the ammunition.
  22. There was a problem that effected a couple of the Dutch-style buildings whereby troops would go through the side wall, rather than the front door. There were a few different threads about it at the time.
  23. I know it is a typo, but it is such a lovely thought. "H.Q. get me a florist squad right away!"
  24. @carcer's "Real world" is the upper picture, "stock" below. The words "should" "gone" and Specsavers" spring to mind. And that is coming from a bloke with 400 year old eyes, who had his napper removed and stuck on a spike more than a decade after his death.
