  1. Sadly, I got stuffed in Mission 4. And Stevens died in a ball of flame. Although because of my previous results the campaign terminated early as a "Tactical Victory".
  2. Thanks for the replies gents. I'd stupidly left the "Snowy mods" folder in my "Z" folder. Took it out and problem solved. Ah, the joys of being 400 years old.
  3. Yes it is your mod from 2013. And appears on the page like this z1st ID_OD (v2) ... Given the fact that I am running CMBN on engine 4 it seems strange that both helmet and shoulder patch work perfectly there but the helmets don't in Final Blitzkrieg.
  4. I'm sorry if this has already been asked before, but after a trawl around I haven't been able to find an answer. So perhaps someone can help. I've copied the US Uniform mods over from CMBN. But, when firing up the Aachen campaign "Knock 'em all Down" I find that whilst the shoulder patches work fine, the "Big Red One" is missing from the helmets. I have rechecked Normandy, and there they are working fine. So two questions..... 1. Has anyone else encountered the same problem? 2. Is there any way to get the helmet mods to functions properly in CMFB?
  5. The British had some bicycle troops. They parked them by the sea wall on Sword Beach and never used them. Whilst 352nd Infanterie Div. had bicycle troops posted well in land who set off towards Omaha and Gold, how far they got on them I'm not sure.
  6. Emmers, old chap. Crommers was born a bit late to be considered "medieval", and was never an aristocrat. As for myself, I'm a blue collar Anglo-Irish atheist. But, I do love my Belgian Trappist Ales.
  7. Did someone mention "monks in an abbey"? I feel the need to go shopping for some Trappist Ale.
  8. Being a Limey I do wish that 37mm would change his moniker to 2-pounder. Pops tongue back into cheek, and exits stage right ---------------------------->
  9. I managed a "Tactical" in both the 2nd and 3rd missions over the last couple of days. But, No.3 was very bloody. And I don't fancy my chances for the fourth mission.
  10. I have it on good authority that The Witchfinder General was more of a psalms man himself. He takes a very dim view of people performing the Devil's Music in his name. Sadly, ill health prevents him from taking the matter to court. In the meantime when i send my Ivans into battle on the Eastern Front it is to the sound of "Stalin wasn't stallin'", whilst the Fritz's get a blast of Charlie's version of "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon"
  11. You will need at least a "Tactical Victory". Irrespective of casualties your forces will be at full strength for Mission 2 which takes place about a fortnight later. Providing of course, that Steven's survives the first mission. The 2nd battle moves the action to the Ardennes and I'm in the middle of it at the moment.
  12. Spot on, we are all different. I want Steve and the boys in the band to pour everything into early-WW2. But, the amount of people who are lapping up Black Sea and Shock Force 2 deserve their fun too. Although I am having words with the Witchfinder General about them as we speak.
  13. Hahahahaha.... For those times when "lol" just doesn't do it.
  14. Personally I would blame it on both the depression and German occupation. French peasants could not afford to keep their homes in a decent state of repair, and the pug between the bricks was so rotten that it was quite easy for a Sten 9mm bullet to pass through it, particularly just below the damp ridden wooden window frames. Obviously Steve and the other boys in the band have done their homework and consulted both social and architectural historians on this aspect of Norman life.
  15. Short but well worth seeing, thanks. If any forumites visit Trebah I would suggest staying at The Blue Anchor in nearby Helston. Great pasties and excellent home-brewed ale.
  16. I'm afraid I can't help. I can't get them to fire anything except the HMG itself. Hopefully someone can help enlighten us.
  17. In Limeyland when something is excellent we say "Top Drawer". "Top Shelf" means something completely different.
  18. Is there any point in playing the most realistic WW2 game on the market if you turn the trees off? If my granddad had asked Monty if he could turns the trees off he'd have probably been told not to be so damn facetious.
  19. I loved "Operations" in CMx1 And always gave a little cheer if my tanks were retrieved between battles.
