Just personal preference, my own interest ends in '45. But I would never try to tell others what to play.

Personally I'd be happy with v.4 up to May '45 or back to Sept '39.

As a pedant I would say that it wasn't in the "south of Holland", it's in Limburg. But, as Panzer Mike says the fighting in that area was a "muddy mess". And his brilliant work captures that perfectly.

I received the DVD as a Christmas present. But I saved it until April 9th to watch it. Excellent cast, and a very good movie.

Not forgetting the lack of primogeniture meaning that land got subdivided between sons. Which led to the planting of more hedgerows, and therefore more small fields. And of course, the need to move diary cattle from one piece of grazing to another, eroding trackways and creating those lovely deep sunken lanes that we all love to fight our way along.
