  1. Yep. I have not seen that in 40 years. My wife would unfortunately not even touch one counter. Though I could offer thousands of them to choose from.
  2. Very true, I am afraid. In the old days, I used to say CM is a model and a model can‘t model each and every RL aspect.
  3. Don‘t want to be picky, but the Signal magazine would spell „kommen“ not with a capital „K“. Unless it is an evil propaganda paper.
  4. What is remarkable on this pic?
  5. Very good. I was afraid he would be lazily idling.
  6. No news from the front since days? Should Bud be busy elsewhere?
  7. Perfect! Book me for Episode IX to umpteenth, too!
  8. Ahhhh, that adds a new level! Book me for Episode VII and VIII „The Last Sergeant“ and „Return of the Last Sergeant“.
  9. Ahhh, I see you have the story line very well thought through. Will we see a panel with Hirsch and the firing squad at the end? Or will he receive the Ritterkreuz nevertheless?
  10. What? Posting on Facebook? Perhaps some Tweets would be nice, too. Seem to be the Media of choice at the moment.
  11. Ha! Good point. Then make him burn his letters after the battle. Eh, wait! He has time to write letters during the skirmish?
  12. I don’t want to be picky, but this letter probably would have been completely blackened between “Dearest Paula” and “your Hirschie”. Don‘t think, this sort of reporting would have been appreciated by the censors.
  13. Hi John You can download their latest catalogue (which is a good read on it’s own already) here: http://www.helion.co.uk/MBN-45.pdf As a nice touch, they also offer their catalogues back to 2013 as downloads. But for the full range, you should refer to their website. You’ll find virtually hundreds of books, much more than what the present in the catalogue. Have fun!
  14. I just stumbled over an interesting publisher from the UK: www.helion.co.uk They offer a huge range of military books. Alone 480 WW2 titles. Mostly, for me at least, quite „exotic“ topics. E.g., a 30+ volume series „Africa@War“. Or a book about Dutch Military Operations 1940.
  15. I have the impression, optics hits don‘t matter much at all. I remember a pretty desperate CMBN fight, where one of my two Panthers caught an optics hit. I pulled it back, hoping to use it as MG platform later. Fortunately something moved into it‘s sights and the Panther started firing merrily (and quite effective) away with the main gun nevertheless. Perhaps a little slower than usual.
  16. Ooops, of course VERkauf. Eyeyey, what a difference three tiny letters can make....
  17. If you are interested, check „www.panzerkauf.de“. Looks like they have dozens of AFV‘s on stock. Unfortunately, they give you a price only on request. Keep us informed, when you made your choice...
  18. Even more of topic: Stuff Belgian beer. Or at least the special brews, like Cherry Beer. Nothing better than straight hops, malt and water. I think, I know your pub. I loved standing on the church yard just above it and imagining the Prussian Landwehr storming uphill through the narrow streets. I don’t think, I would have fancied to do their task.
  19. Nice, but: There can be only one „Kohl“. The one and only real Kohl!
  20. A little of topic: I have been in Waterloo for the 2015 bicentennial. Indeed fascinating to see places, which you know from games only in real life. In that case Hougumont, La Haye and Placenoit.
  21. Eh, did Kohl not pop up only a few weeks or month ago? I thought, I read a few posts from him.
  22. Re CM, I fully agree. Unfortunately, there is no operational or strategic level CM. Sadly the last serious operational level attempt was dropped years ago. And again, playing FTF on a board is a very different experience. I must admit, even after more than 40 years, I love to try and experience new board game systems. Unfortunately, nowadays, I don’t come close to master any of them anymore.
