No permis es necesario. The actual mod is not going to be used. It is just a modding technique that uses some image slots as transparent to reduce the number of helmets appearing. Some soldiers have no helmet.

Ok,  so I let fall the helmets than, and pls you have to explain how you do are you making some helmet blanco ?!

This thread seems to be evidence that some do. :D

The calm before the storm, @IanL, we will receive updates for all the CM created untill now, patches will raining on our desktops, that we cannot manege all in one time, and BFC, knowing that, was taking mesures to respond of all ours requests that will come soon, and be armored to have the correct answer this is why the time is so long not because there is nothing ready... plus the new CMFB Module, finally the British are not far away...sight !

  3. Ok dont find your drophill but I put it as a gift for Christmas,  put on this link available for everybody, couple of weeks, just remember guys, no valid for new system of files from BFC, moderne style SF2, Black Sea, Heaven Earth, Brazil in Flame, but perhaps working with Afghanistan I dont test it. ??

All thanks to the owner of this mod : @Blimey

<some new ideas for a far future >

67 will (couldnt not be far away) all armoury is present in CM modules just pick up them adjust correct calibres to the correct tanks and APC s and this, one the the Phill  specialities.

when 67 is present we can jump on 73 need only water canons just use a german flamethrower (using blender knowledges) to a air effect of a vehicle exhaust pipe), (hahaha) ...

(no kidding now ), in the past i was maked a try with a us white sc, to represent a btr 152, but untill now stay with a problem to export in mdr, but is already "in the garage" (like vehicle without plate number).

    >but by 67, 73 a lot of sandstorms will cover the desert and it is therefore not for tomorrow or perhaps will never be done...sigh !! <

    enjoy !

Again we count of you @kohlenklau or all others modders @37mm @EZ, @LukaFromFallujah @Atlas and another good modder that created the Iranian mod ( @JMDECC...)  and many others... !

Not a problem. CMFI has the Indians with British kit. They can be modded to be part of the Arabs.

Thanks JM. Next year 2024 I will start hunting down stuff in CMMODS. Edit: poked around and did not see any Israeli mods for CMSF1.

Can give you a copy on your drophill just to pick up voices  and some others elements, but no faces and no uniforms this one use the first system of files from BFC, so no valid for sf2, just the old school.

    Golani and Paras Brigade.

    Edit :

PS count of you to working on Israelis uniforms and faces included and reworking to use it in Sf2 (modern time) pick up some Brits or Us stuffs . (kidding) !

We count of you Phill !

    1948 ARAB-ISRAELI WAR

aka The War of Jewish Independence.

I somehow got to thinking about this today. How would I make it as a CM mod? I think I can. I see CMFI as the base. Get the voices for Arabs from CMSF2! Right? Skins and names file. I have this desire to try and create it. I can do it but I would love some participation from the community. Don't PM me yet. Think about it and then post here to discuss what you want to do AND CAN DO for the mod.

    EDIT: Just taking some notes...

MOD Israeli's are the CMFI BRITISH and other nations too. Lots of options for uniforms. Some guys in shorts in the Kibutz? We see the Sten AND Thompson; Vehicles are diverse, worth a try to mod the history; Arabs are Germans AND Italians, allows diversity of weapons, uniforms and UI elements and voices. I think that allows us to show various aspects of the Arab side of this encounter. There are some ASL scenarios out there that can guide me.

I like the idea, this could be a good bone if BFC dont tell us nothing before end of the year.

    ...this may be useful...

    you can maybe use some

mod from @MOS:96B2P  about helmets, the Israelis were poor in uniforms and weapons they didn't all have helmets and headgear, and also lot of civilian clothes, if only we could have also 3d models of women to make more realistic, (and only for the realism)...

    >MOS Remove Some German Helmets MOD for CM WW2 Titles

also take the turban for the Arab troops already in cmfi for the Indian troops or those of the goumiers...

    >Indian cmfi uniforms and "helmets" already in cmfi
    >   @mjkerner CMFI/GL/R2V French Force Goumiers Mod

for the Israeli voices and ranks they already partly exist in a old mod for SF1, and I suppose you already have a cop,y but i m not sure they have already theirs own ranks and use probably the british ones ?...

and many other things, everything is present, all you have to do is use it...

If you need a helping hand...!!

  7. I really can't believe that no one thought about it, throughout the army and the secret services but also simply in the minds of the people, dancing far away and without protection...

September October is becoming to be a time of sadness...

Be awake about the reality for a moment... "hey guys, wait a minute, tomorrow is the 50th anniversary, we should perhaps care, maybe there is something in the tube, so guys stay vigilant" ?...

There were enough clues to pay a little more attention to the situation.

I downloaded a free 3D model and the author is Mr Helijah. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/airspeed-horsa-7febf28fb92a4189b71dd3796af78c51

It needed massive changes in Blender to get it to show as a flavor flave object. Just so you don't think it was plug n play 5 minutes.

Maybe 3 hours work I did renaming and editing. AND I still have a few things to fix.

A very nice one, just curious witsch flavour object you choose, for my part I was using a big one like farm, fountain, fountain large, ...

Just so you don't think it was plug n play 5 minutes., Maybe 3 hours work

don t tell me what I already know, we know both that, when we open Blender for a model it will take sometimes days,... frustrations and sometimes headaches, but this know only modders blender peoples, when they have to convert the model for CM in our lovely mdr files...

...so just now, you have to break some nose or wings to have a perfect LZ, close to the bridge, and let doing the rest by Wim...

    good job !

Does anyone out there have the ability to model a Horsa glider flavor object for my forthcoming scenarios and campaign "Operation Tonga". I expect the expanded version of the master map to be completed by the end of next week. It has now grown to 4160 m x 3168 m and will encompass the actions all three parachute battalions of the British 5th Parachute Brigade and the Oxf & Bucks of the 6th Airlanding Brigade. For those not yet in the know, this all revolves around the capture and holding of the two bridges across the Canal de Caen and the Orne River on D-Day and subsequent.

I think  @Aquila-SmartWargames was already making something similar not sure, if this was an Horsa, but there is something, you have to check in his big mod pack...if you dont find, and if nobody do it before, I can eventual have a try...

...I found out about these games a few weeks ago and...Well, with the Steam sale I've purchased CM:BS, CM:SF2 and CM:BN, plus all the respective DLCs. I've been wanting games like these for years. Can't wait to start building the hours. I've clocked up 30 hours in two weeks which, for me as a 37 year old with a job and girlfriend, is fairly extreme.

Cannot believe I didn't try them sooner.

    :)

Without forgetting the essential site of mods and scenarios overseen by our savior @Bootie !

and many mods directly available on the forum, have fun to find all !

REPLY: I use Aris' terrain for my terrain tiles and (author unknown) for desaturated basic vegetation. After that to change the look of the doodads month to month I have integrated elements of Failaise Juin/Juillet/Auot and Hedgerow Hell's vegetation mods. The latter is pick and choose what you want. To change the look for September you can use the September [holland] vegetation for all September or just late. There is another mod at the FGM site if you want more colour early in September. I have packaged my choices and sorted them by month and plug them in and out using JSGME.

    Ah yes !

Aris,  was making really nice things also, to allowed

    "the final touch"

    Thank you !

In my CMBN installation I use both z and JSGME.  The z dir is used for over 90% of my mods. I use JSGME only to swap a few mods in and out when playing campaigns and if I want to changed the vegetation using Falaise's Juin, Juillet et Auout variations. I have also added Septembre early and late.

The new buildings shown above are all extra idependent or modular building skins using the next (0#) number in the sequence. They are all in Z but once I reach the maximum permitted by the program then any more new skins will be swapped using JSGME. Another method for installing more than the program permits it to mod-tag them for specific scenarios.

The new buildings have no special effects in the game. They are only eye candy for player's with an obsession for historical recreation.

"September early and later" can be only the color of trees red brown and perhaps differents tiles color of terrain, interesting... can you give more infos about...In PM if you want, but I think this could be also interresting for others members?

I guess your Z tree structure is  construct in the same way for every CM titles (except perhaps the winter) "no present" in CMBN?

Just waiting to the next module with Brits and the rest of Usa and perhaps Frenchs to have it in CMBN.

Thanks Wim for all infos, in fact, you are one of the player's with an obsession for historical recreation and is good so. 😁

References used are contemporary photographs. The buildings are 'unable' to reproduce these exactly so my creations are "based on" and "in the style of".

LA CHAUMIERE: I have two photos for La Chaumiere. The most commonly published one with only the "La Chaumiere" sign on the side is older and not correct. It does not have the gasoline pump out front. But in Neil Barber's book, "The Benouville and Orne Bridges, Their Capture, Defence and Relief" there is a photo contemporary to the event. It has the gasoline pump and the advertising for Motricine gasoline painted on the wall. The older sign is absent but I added it anyway.

RESTAURANT YVON: This is the building on the immediate SE corner of the pont tournant, i.e. the bridge across the Orne. If one examines the photo with a magnifying glass the sign painted on the roof and the words CAFÉ and CIDRE painted on the front wall can be seen.

CAFÉE GONDRÉE: Again, CMBN buildings cannot reproduce the original exactly but the combination of red brick and stucco was already present on both attached buildings when it was still Café Duval. A photo taken shortly after the action show the (white) shutters closed during the day.

CAFÉ PIROT: I did not need to reskin this building because CMBN already has a near-match storey and a half post-and-stucco skin.

THE GARAGE: CMBN's garage is twice as big as the historical. Umlaut created a skin that has "ANTAR" painted on the wall. The original and my version has it painted on the roof. The advertising painted on the wall was discovered by magnifying the original photo.

The TRAM station: This is a poor reproduction of the original using one of CMBN's small barns. The original was one third post-and-stucco, one third post-and-brick; that is to say, the bricks were artistically arranged between the post spaces - very cool, and one third wood and glass. The tram tracks still existed, running along the tow path on the east side of the Canal de Caen, from Ouistreham to Caen and also originally turning to cross the two bridges and running to Ranville. It carries open-sided passenger cars. It was impossible to reproduce the water tower beside the tram stop. During Operation Deadstick, one unruly British para shot two A/Tk rounds through the water tower from the capture "French" A/Tk gun the the 'Tobruk'.

Like I Said Wim cannot wait to download it, seem the time that you announce to be retired your activities are doubled... ...proposition to send you news "epoch decals" are always on, you know thar my first try was not so bad but I would prefer that the job is do it from "experts peoples like you", just that you know all files have to be first converted...so let me know, and courrage friend.
