    @MikeyD
CMMODS has a capacity of 500MB per mod... if its bigger you will need to get @GreenAsJade to upload it via FTP.  As you know I don't own CMMODS and only help out a bit.
If you need help uploading we can post them up individually.
You need to zip the files and also upload them to the media area as per my video I posted in the other thread.
I will look into this again today but the video explains pretty much everything.

In November 2018 I visited a cemetery that is quite local to me to visit the graves of the 10 German Luftwaffe crew buried there from World War Two and to find out their story. This little video explains how each of them ended up in a peaceful graveyard in the North East of Scotland.

Thanks, Bootie. I personally didn't need to upload anything right now, was checking for Oleksandr. But I appreciate your promptness. Looks like it will be pretty quick to get used too.

Yes will need to check this out....
I think of the top of my head is you need to create the post as normal... upload the zipped file to the media section then attach it to the post.
Its near 2am here so it will be tomorrow until I can get to this... hang fire guys.

Bootie reacted to Mord in So I had a hunch...
The other day I uploaded my old "Allah's Army" sound mod for SF & SF2. It's been long locked away in the Repos, so I figured I'd give new people access to it on CMMODs. Well, in the readme I wrote this: "This my old SF1 mod of insurgent fighters screaming Allahu Akbars and other phrases. They are edited and numbered so to be heard throughout various situations and orders. As SF1 and 2 do not have Syrian voice files for vehicle hits (like the other titles) I had to make due. There should be enough sprinkled among the voice files to increase the ambience and add some flavor to your experience." Which meant that the mod was and had always been a compromise on what I was aiming for vs the reality of what the game would allow me to do. I bent it the best I could to fit my vision.
So, anyway I'd noticed, that NO country had the vehicle hit voice files in SF. However, those files were in every game since BN, including SF II. I have a tendency to go in forty different directions when I am dicking with mods, so, I scribbled a quick note in my modding note pad, "Check and see if Syrian sounds were implemented".  A few days went by and I decided to take up my note's challenge. So, I took all the US "hit" folders, copied them over and then renamed all the files to their Syrian counterparts (that way if they worked I'd hear American voices coming from Syrians and there'd be no mistakes). I created a bunch of silent vehicle files so I'd have a nice quiet map, and then set up a test. Below takes place after my tests.
My hunch was that BF implemented the files for the US, Brits, and NATO (minus the Dutch) because these files have been in existence since CMBO. Not having any Arabic speakers on hand they just couldn't make anything new for the Syrians. I thought maybe the code was still there though, all it needed was something to point to. HOT DAMN. I WAS RIGHT!!! I am going to redo the Allah's Army mod for SF II shortly. As you can see from the vid, the mod FINALLY works in the way I'd originally intended. Almost ten years and my artistic vision comes to fruition! I am BEYOND STOKED!
    ALLAHU AKBAR!!!!!

    Bootie,
Well played.  Impressive victory.  I drove straight towards the bomb factory and reduced the enemy there first.  That meant that I had to rush the attack on the stronghold, and managed to just take it with a quick rush from my Lavs to overwhelm the holdouts.  I only had the sniper and one other unit up on the hill.  I had the big victory too, but had one or two more casualties and lost one of the scout cars.  I enjoyed your video.  Very nice.

There were plenty of "nasty" surprises.  A very well designed and highly enjoyable scenario.

The whole Scen is designed as a nasty surprise.  Well trained, well led, but brash Canadians must change their attitudes towards their enemies. The uncoms are fanatics in good defensive terrain.

@BootieEnjoying the videos so far! Poor marksman. Hopefully you can medic him so he can fight another day.
That tall hill is an odd terrain feature. The sight lines aren't as good to the actual objective areas as one would initially expect them to be and the Canadians definitely seem to expend a lot of ammo to get kills in this scenario. That time limit got me too when I first tried it. 45 minutes seems like a lot at first but, goes by quickly. I found it useful to get the artillery going right after they arrive given those call in times. Especially since they need to fire spotting rounds first to get on target. That is what the way off-target initial round near the road was.

Bad luck that.  The green troops did frustrate me a bit on their spotting and accuracy at first.  As the battle went on, I didn't really notice their green experience affecting things too much though.
It was really fun.  At first, I was having flashbacks to CMAK, with armored cars racing across desert-like terrain, throwing up clouds of dust.  I have expected to see Afrika Corp armored cars as I topped the ridge.

Real world normal walking pace is about 15 minutes for 1 km. I will admit occasionally  I'll look at a very big scenario map, look at my infantry sitting at the far end, then look at the time on the clock, and think to myself "Nope, I don't even want to try." The scenario designer may know there's only two snipers between me and the destination but I don't know that. Every terrain fold, every stone wall, every gap between houses must be treated with suspicion. Which eats up valuable time. Even adding another 10 minutes is often a huge help to me.
If a scenario's AI orders involves complex coordinated and timed movements, that planning is based on assumptions about the player's likely movements. A tight timetable forces the player to do his maneuvering inside the expected time window.
Most scenarios, though, don't involve such complex coordinated movements. An enemy on the defense is likely to sit and wait for the oncoming attacker. Sitting and waiting does not require a tight time window for things to happen in. Some scenarios need to be short-duration for all the gears to mesh, and other scenarios could just go on-and-on indefinitely. .

Depends. My guess is that if the Russians wanted in bad enough, they would make a way somehow. The real question is how bad is bad enough?
