OK, here is what I am thinking...

I have the John Tiller Panzer Campaigns (PzC) Market Garden '44 (MG'44) and I wrote this PzC scenario "The Road to Eindhoven"...

Outline: 0600-1800, 18 September 1944. PzC turns are 2 hours. So 6 turns total. Not too long and not too short. Any assaults/attacks/probes would be acted out using CMBN-MG (bound to be several!).

Objective: We want to see some cool PBEM AAR action, screenshots and commentary...in this here BFC forum.

Needed: dedicated personnel who can see it through to completion, who can host photos or video, who can run an AAR thread with some minor photoshop-type work to make it nice.

Goal: have fun and be good sports. There is a working set of rules.

If you are interested, please PM me if you have hosted your own photos, have experience to do imagery to show your battle intentions and if you are a dedicated PBEM (CM Helper & dropbox experienced) opponent who has steadily swapped turns until the battle was done.

    Thank you.

    Lane: Please follow these procedures.

First you take a good size spool or 2 of an AWG 12-2 extension cord and pay out around 500 feet out the window, through the yard and into your outside shed. Hold on. Make it through your neighbor's yard as well and into HIS shed. Then double back and return with your PC/laptop/monitor/keyboard/mouse with you and hunker down with some sandbags and some timbers in a horizontal fashion. Fire up a small cook stove and metal canteen cup, get some good c-ration coffee going. A little WW2 soundtrack background music always helps too. Gunfire and explosions. If you do have an old Army field jacket and steel pot, get them on.
In between turns you gotta go run around the shed and roll around in the dirt. During the replay have that nice Mrs. of yours come out to the shed and slam a big broom up against the outer walls a few times and yell hostile comments in German. I guess if you are playing AS the Germans then she would just yell the same things in English that she normally yells as your loving wife.
Bottomline: Of course you disconnect from the internet when playing the AI. Who has that much Cat-5 to get out to the neighbors shed? And your wifi might not get a signal.

aye laddy, we is aimin' for that as well. (slipped into a Marketty-Gardenny kind of attitude for a second...)

The mod will be a general purpose cluster bomb kind of mod to sprinkle into any scenario involving paratroops.

Work in progress using lesser used road terrain tiles to allow rotation for a variety of discarded AN-6513 'chutes, harnesses, etc. Sorry no church steeple mod for Sainte-Mère-Église !

I figured I would start its own thread. Kevinkin is moving fast with maps and scenarios.
I am supporting him as the "campaign factory" with advice (when and if he wants it!) and briefing images.
Core force is E Co, 16th Infantry Regiment. 1st Infantry Division. Winter 42/43. North Africa.
    3 days of various battles.

ANYTHING WITH AIRBORNE TROOPS ON 5-6 JUNE 44!

I always like the "last stand at the Alamo" style battles.
Put the player in a small rubbled town 208x208 map and have the enemy try to wipe him out.
5 AI plans to work with so you could have enemy coming at different times from different directions.
Write 1 AI plan, then copy and paste to the other 4 slots and edit the times.
Big ranges in the enemy R arrival times to keep a random die roll excitement.
Will your ammo last until your reinforcements arrive? (simulated by end of battle).
Start your troops off already with low ammo. low head counts, destroyed vehicles nearby.
maybe one team is trapped away from your main defensive position.
you get points if you get that unit back to safety (an exit zone).
Keep the battle length medium maybe about 35 minutes.
    Don't forget the dead cows...

    Hey Steve,

I would like to ask if this is something we can get eventually. A utility like RezExplode and RezPack that is created to help the customers make maps.

It loads certain files and strips away the family specific issues that jam up the process. Deletes the buildings and flavor objects.
But retains the elevations and basic common terrain and farts out something that can be then edited into a scenario.
Maybe it could retain the AI? A radio button? Maybe it could not...

Well "Don Steve-o", can we come to an agreement to help cooperation among the 5 families?

This is a link to a website that does not sell anything or compete with BFC. In fact these guys buy and play BFC products.
I am the CO of the allies for the grand campaign of Avalon Hill's "The Battle of the Bulge" boardgame that uses CMFI to play out the battles.
Swing on by to see the action. Turn 1 just started and battles will soon begin.
