  1. Oh I spaced on that - I thought I was reading it in the beta forum. Need more coffee or perhaps a nap.
  2. Yep, I do the same. When all hell breaks loose first thing I do is cancel everything in the troubled area. But when things are moving along with out much trouble (i.e. no significant contact) I can often just leave what was there last time for another turn...
  3. Install BTR's mod as you normally would and then make sure any of Kieme's are lower in the alphabet. So you could create a folder structure like this: <my documents>\Battlefront\Combat Mission\Black Sea\User Data\Mods\Vehicles <my documents>\Battlefront\Combat Mission\Black Sea\User Data\Mods\Vehicles\BTR ----> Put BTR's mod files (packed or un packed here) <my documents>\Battlefront\Combat Mission\Black Sea\User Data\Mods\Vehicles\KiemeRussianVehicles -----> Put all of Kieme's dirty versions here Now if any of the same files appear under KiemeRussinVehicles they will override BTRs because 'K' comes later in the alphabet than 'B'.
  4. Destroying the bridge = he who destroyed it looses. According to the rules Ken took some creative licence with creating this scenario.
  5. Hey that looks like a great list of resources. Thank you for that. Any objections to my sharing this post with my Father - we spent a lot of time talking about the Ukrainian crisis during his recent visit and he was interested in some of the discussion here.
  6. Honestly what are us forum members going to be able to do? Just venting I suppose. When you are done, log a support ticket here: http://www.battlefront.com/helpdesk/they *will* help you.
  7. I have never met him in person so I have no idea. I might be able to recognize his writing style if you can get a shot of his tablet
  8. That is what it represents. If you find fading icons near some of your guys, usually if you select the units that are right there with the fading icons they disappear. This is because those are your men that know there is no enemy there anymore. Everyone else has not heard the news that the enemy is gone yet. Sometimes they really linger and I think that is usually caused by a disruption in your C2 chain. I have CMFI fight going on now where ghost FOW icons have lingered around one of my platoons for really long time. I have not bothered to figure out who's not talking to whom because I am to busy - they will fade away soon enough
  9. Just my thumb but it will be my right thumb because it is more powerful than my left but I fear it will not be enough gains pliers.
  10. DMS armed with an AT4 vs an Abrams. There is glory there. Some irony too. Good luck to us both.
  11. Yeah the harsh reality of the last few turns settle in What is your status in game? What about me? You can always play for a draw - just keep him off the bridge without destroying it.
  12. Yeah, as a friend of mine pointed out Combat Mission is not really mod-able it is skin-able. We cannot change the behaviour or add units or otherwise create new stuff what we can do is create new skins for the existing stuff.
  13. An excellent overview. The only thing he did not touch on there is triggers. That lets the scripted plan react to things on the battlefield. Really this is not unlike what you and I do: We create a plan and start executing it and then make changes along the way to react to the enemy. Clearly the current AI plans are not nearly as flexible as we are but they do reasonably well I just checked there is a design guide for creating scenarios that was done for the Market Garden release. The pdf ships with CMBS. Look in the install directory for A Scen Design AAR PDF Book.pdf.
  14. We are talking about a specific bug that pops up in various flavours from time to time that BFC look at when they do. Just play! Just keep in mind that if you hit a problem these workarounds might help.
  15. Humm, I thought there was some more recent posts about plans but all I could find was this one: http://community.battlefront.com/topic/117228-a-not-very-exciting-christmas-bone-this-year/ Somewhere in the deep past Steve did out line the plans for the Eastern Front which IIRC were to do a family for each year going back from CMRT. Each family would have some number of modules and packs to fill out the year.
  16. Check out CM Fortresses Italy it already has snow. BFC doesn't give specific time line for new titles. Steve pops in from time to time to say what they are working on next and what will likely be next. There is a recently post from Steve if no one else posts a link I'll find it when I get to a real computer later.
  17. What!?!?!? I'm facing Bill. Oh man. Well I always wanted to so here we go. Yikes now I *am* nervous.
  18. Spot on. Don't forget even if you execute your plans perfectly and your plan was good you can still loose. Why, because the other side is trying its best to win too.
  19. I was wondering if you were tempting fate there dodging between the craters as they formed. As you can see I am ready to take over. Men we continue just as c3k envisioned in his honour. I mean his honor.
  20. LOL very true. Isn't that the world's motto? There is a cupcake shop next to the butcher shop where my son works part time. They sell bacon for the maple bacon cupcakes that the cupcake shop makes. Yeah they are real. And yes I have tired them. Sadly the motto is just plain wrong when it comes to cupcakes - Yuck!
  21. Looks like you will be getting that call from Moscow for painting outside the regulations.
