  1. I'm looking for an opponent: i'm a low-medium skill player and would like to PBEM play against someone the same level as mine. Please mail me at matteo_santus@hotmail.com. Thank you!
  2. I think they could work it out with some smart solution (somethink like a huge "vehicle" in wich troops enter and disembark to different firing position or exit points). By the way, they are smart designers and i full trust in their skills to do this! I think that Pacific theater would be something to do also because if you work out the japanes way of fight, you can do also the vietnamese way of fight and both Vietnam and Pacific Combat Mission would be best seller IMHO.
  3. What you say about mixed forces is true, but the Pacific would give a whole new ways of approach to warfare. Jungle ambushes, underground network, suicidal charges, and so on. And also, even if japanese have not so many tanks, they indeed used them as well. And of course they were plenty of artillery and support. Of course that one will be the CM more costly to produce because almost all have to be made anew.
  4. Thank you domfluff, all great stuff! I think that CMFI could have a final module for Gothic line, maybe including partisans also! My dream is to have a Pacific theater CM game, but i know this is not easy..
  5. Hello guys, I've been away for a while and started playing again in 2015: every time i fell in love for CM! I was wondering what we will see next for WW2 CM games, maybe i missed some news while away (i also remember that there was a post named "The road ahead", but i cannot find it..).. Thank you guys! Matteo
  6. Hello! I'm looking for a PBEM opponent! I own all Strategic Command games, both WWI and WWII including expansions. Anyone interested in PBEM play?
  7. Hello there's someone interested in playing in PBEM against me? I own all Strategic Command games including the WWI.
  8. I particularly would like to see some russian HEAVY artillery and SMG company fighting in the woods! For the remaining, everything is good to me!
  9. I totally agree with Endymion. CM is great the way it is, the player is not the real commander, is the god-like commander, or better the player is every commander in the army, down to the sergeants. CM is the best WWII tactical combat simulation ever, but it's not a supreme commander simulation. Adding an order delay is a very bad idea IMHO, it would change the game completely.
  10. I'll buy any WWII CM game they release. I would particularly love to see: - Russian front (za rodina!!!) - Pacific front (banzai!!!)
  11. Thank you guys for your suggestion. About Civil War PC games, what's the best for you? I played (and enjoyed) Take Command seires and also Sid Meier's Gettysburg and Battlefront battles (Shiloh, Chickamauga, Antietam, Gettysburg).
  12. Thank you all guys, i think that Shelby Foote is what i need. Both my english and civil war knowledge will surely improve a lot after reading it! Also History Animated website is really great. Something like that, a really masterpiece about WWII eastern front: http://english.pobediteli.ru/
  13. Hello! I have a question for US guys or other historicians! I'm looking for a detailed military history of american civil war. Not a mainstream book about "how they fight" or "the main strategies", but instead a detailed military history of operation, battles and engagements of the conflict, something like "The Peninsula War" of Sir Charles Oman (for those who know it). There is something like that that you can suggest me? Thank you!
