  1. Anything by George MC and Paper Tiger.
  2. Blimey Bill, if you are losing motivation yet manage to upload this so quickly then I am certainly comatose ... I've still got CMSF stuff from a couple of years back to finish.
  3. At some point I will get around to uploading mine - there's about half a dozen of them I think.
  4. I play RT more than WEGO however I play it how I like and by that I mean if I want to hit ESC in RT to pause then I will which seems to be a bit of a taboo among members of the community. Every scenario I have designed and released has been tested (badly at times) by me in RT but I know from feedback that WEGO players have played them. I have also done some testing here and there in RT and seen the comments of others who have played WEGO for the same scenarios and apart from differences of opinion, the general trend is that my experience of how a scenario plays out is not hugely different than those who have tested it in WEGO. If a scenario works in one mode it should work in another.
  5. So my Mission Analysis and chosen COA at post 24 was right then ... you executed it better than I did though.
  6. Reference difficulty rating - around 8ish I would say. Conceptually it is a simple scenario but execution was tricky given the size and makeup of the opposition, the preserve constraints for airport infrastructure and the time available. I would struggle to win this second time out I think but might get there third time around.
  7. Agusto ... Good idea. I havent tested yet how the preserve objectives translate to victory points. It simply never occured to me during my tests to intentionally order an artillery barrage on a building that i am supposed to capture intact , that' s bit counterintuitive. If you're going to have preserve objectives, one of the things you need to test is how much it takes to destroy the building and what the thresholds are in terms of damage where the VPs start to be lost. For instance you can merrily fire .50 cal at a building for long enough to zap any enemies in there and put down a short 81mm mortar anti-personnel mission down on the roof of same building and generally not damage it sufficiently to lose VPs - but you gotta test it!!!
  8. LLF was working on Dien Bien Phu a few years back: http://community.battlefront.com/topic/105667-cmbn-dien-bien-phu/?hl=%2Bdien+%2Bbien
  9. Hi Agusto, Just gave this a runout and didn’t even tick off one terrain objective. Here are my comments: Definite potential here and this will be a decent scenario with a bit of tweaking - it is plenty of fun for sure.
  10. Finished just in time for the Cold War to end ... bit like the Afghan Village they built in Stanta a couple of years ago.
  11. In some scenarios the enemy will surrender automatically, this is triggered by the enemy hitting a particular CE (I can't remember what that is but someone will have the answer). Where this doesn't happen, you don't have to wait for the timer to run down, you can voluntarily hit cease fire and the scenario will end. Hitting cease fire is obviously a judgement call based on what your mission and objectives are. If you think you've ticked them all off then just hit cease fire.
  12. Welcome Pat and I'm sure you'll enjoy both the game and the forums - as Agusto says CMSF is probably worth a look if modern is your thing.
  13. snake_eye - cheers for the comments - 'M' Wadis is on a bit of a backburner right now - I have to walk away from it and come back to it with fresh eyes - I'm currently enjoying myself putting some time into playing some CMRT rather than hacking around in the editor for a change. I will get back to my scenarios at some point.
  14. SeinfeldRules - I am gearing myself up to tackle Assault Position next - I have been doing a fair amount of analysis on this scenario which I will post in due course. I think I'm close to having a plan now and am really intrigued to see how it will play out. From my analysis so far it certainly presents an interesting tactical problem so it should be a neat little challenge.
  15. Replayed Into Lithuania on WEGO Iron mode this time - had another cracking game - used a different plan and came out with a tactical victory which I was very pleased with. This time the scores on the doors were 126 German VP to 394 Allied VP and I suffered 12 KIA, 11 WIA and lost one tank. But for a couple of Germans lurking in the village I would have bagged the 500 VPs on offer for that ... I was agonisingly close to a total victory, just as I was lucky to force a surrender with 44 seconds on the clock last time out. Thanks for these SeinfeldRules.
  16. You can do that with the current version of CMSF - just takes a bit of imagination in the scenario editor that's all. There are some scenarios in the repository that deal with recent events post the Arab Spring.
  17. Into Lithuania ... downloaded and played. I thought I'd lost this one but snatched a Total Victory with 44 seconds on the clock due to a German surrender. Had I not triggered the surrender I would have not got into Lithuania ... I was nowhere near the farm complex objective and hadn't cleared the village objective although I was at least on it. While I was playing I thought my losses were pretty dire but actually worked out as 13 KIA, 14 WIA with two tanks destroyed and two immobilised. To be honest I think a fair result would have been a German tactical victory but I did hammer away with my firepower so perhaps not. This is another little cracker of a scenario with yet another well designed map and a good balance of forces and comes heartily recommended.
  18. Haven't downloaded this one yet due to having to economise on my hard drive but I've had a look at this one and others you've done - this is really good work and can't wait for the British one.
  19. Fond memories of that one ... this is one of the many campaigns I've never finished but I did remember it was quite fun and the PDF was a neat touch.
  20. Just played 'Amongst the Ruins' .... for about the third time and unfortunately I crashed to desktop about 2 minutes before the end having secured (I think) two of the objectives. This was (for me) a bloody difficult scenario and I still haven't got the hang of it but have a reasonable handle on some tricks and tactics to be going on with. Despite firing this one up three times, it has heaps of replay value and I'm definitely going to try it again. This is despite the fact that this is a street fight which is not really my thing. I think the main reason I like it is because it is a small area, the numbers involved are manageable and there is scope to make mistakes. Comments pretty much as before - this is a well designed, balanced scenario with good briefings. It goes without saying that the map is the standout factor in this particular scenario. I think for sure that I will rummage around all of these scenarios in the editor at some point to pick up some hints and tips for scenario design - SeinfeldRules has a real talent for this mission making malarkey. Probably stating the obvious by now but if you've still not worked it out, I thoroughly recommend this one.
  21. Just played Pasture Lands - another neat little scenario which I enjoyed playing. I think my only negative observation would be that I think this one has limited replay value. Otherwise another great way to spend an hour or so.
  22. Hey SeinfeldRules, I have just played Gorbatzewich Roadblock and spent a very enjoyable hour or so (total victory always helps though!!).. Ok ... I'll tell it how it is ... I absolutely loved this scenario for the following reasons: The briefing and associated graphics were absolutely on the mark. The map is a good size which gives the player heaps of options. Force balance and mix is on the money. Gameplay and AI stacks up. Thanks for this one mate ...
