  1. I'm supposed to be building something Russian right now.....CM has done my modelling output no good at all.
  2. They're usually part of larger fixed defensive positions though, so you can often guess where other elements are likely to be using the 'divots' as a starting point.....They're not game breakers at all, but I don't like them in the new games, in CM:SF & CM:A I don't really mind them as they match the terrain trenches and can be tied in quite convincingly.
  3. That TBH sounds about right for Omaha.
  4. Kohima you say.....As a Worcester man I'll take some of that. http://www.worcestershireregiment.com/h_burma_1944_45.php "When you go home, Tell them of us and say For their tomorrow We gave our today."
  5. That will only work once, I'd guess they create a new account for each run. It's probably a good sign in as much as increased forum traffic is attracting bots.
  6. Buck-shot maybe? Truth to tell, I used to do 1/285th micro-armour too, but then I discovered CM.
  7. I believe a lot of the issue is down to the sabot falling away, I seem to remember reading the term 'Tip-Off' in relationship to this.
  8. You could try changing the priority settings for CM:SF.exe to make it a high priority process, but I'd be inclined to check with tech support first.
  9. What scale do you work in? I'm a Brailler, almost exclusively 1/72 stuff.
  10. Cheers Erwin, I have that scenario.....I'd assumed 'Riots' was a different mission?
  11. Does anyone have a link to this scenario, I'd really like to look at it?
  12. Lucas, dude, I think we all get the message, some of us agree with you to varying extents, but I think even you would agree that AVLBs should not be a priority for the BFC team right now? Maybe sort the regular bridges out first? PS - From a modeller's perspective, 'Cobra King' is THE Sherman Jumbo, if you think there are a lot of kits of #2, you'd be staggered at how many there are of this bad boy:
  13. I was wondering when someone else would notice that, I strongly suspect that some injuries may have been suffered there.....Scary (and amateurish).
  14. Cheers LLF, very useful info.....I feel a 'berm' coming on. If I were to have a go at another MOUT battle after Mosul it would be a toss up between the current Raqqa operation & the fighting in Sadr City detailed above (I actually sketched out the sniper/crane scenario on a section of your map).
  15. On a brighter note, part one of Abdul Gul's war is nearly done now.....This has been a really tricky one to get right as it's so small, the bigger side of the two (the bad guys) have a whole platoon!
  16. Eight wheels is all the rage these days isn't it, still it does look a cool (and tough) vehicle.
  17. I dislike the 'bunker divots' too, they could look OK combined with CM:SF/CM:A terrain type trenches, but it looks a bit odd in the newer titles, to me at least.
  18. Academy seems very plausible.....Nice insight, appreciated. I still think the AVLB might be cool, personally I'd prefer the Churchill type as I think it might be more useful in the game, but even that one would be a fairly long way down my list of wants.
  19. All of it bar the thing you had and the big city map went with my old hard drive.....It is no more.
  20. The discussion itself has some merit, we've all learned a lot more about bridging practices. Plus I have an explanation for this:
  21. Nope sadly that wasn't even a scenario (not even sure why you had it TBH), feel free to delete it.
  22. 'Taking It To The People' will sort of resurface in mission three of Abdul Gul's War, but you'll be playing the other side (more or less).
