Mod tag enhancement feature (idea)
sburke replied to kohlenklau's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
If I understand you correctly the drop down would effectively edit the tags text file for the scenario with whatever text you included. As long as you know what text to include, sounds good to me! I could then ask Mord to change all his unit mods to have tags..... Mord,... Mord... are you okay? Mord wake up... damn. -

sburke replied to Doug Williams's topic in Combat Mission Fortress Italy
I was waiting in that Godzilla clip for the red cross to appear when he killed the other creatures. It didn't. I am sooo disappointed. -
What is a flash and how much are they worth? Why are they on sale in the summer?

Hey Kohlenklau, Taylor Swift told me she is unfriending you for posting Katy perry videos. You've been tagged. -
Note that most of the information in the above quote is actually from that same show. (Check the footnotes on the page) The source to confirm a statement can't be the same source... at least if you aren't Putin. Also Kummersdorf is nowhere even near Peenemunde. It is south of Berlin. Granted his statement of the program would probably be used as confirmation, but the information about Peenemunde seems to have come from Polish Home Army intelligence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kummersdorf Generally I do trust stuff to a higher degree that shows up on PBS, but this felt more like History channel stuff which I take with a grain of salt.

Nah I always grab them all. The truck gets em to a nice clear location, they grab the missiles, get out and don't move. . I started that the first time I needed to grab more during an air attack. Cursed the entire time it took to get back to the vehicle, grab more and reposition. As to why they don't shoot from inside the truck, their commander is a neat freak and won't abide the scorch marks on his new paint....

The virus is in all likelihood a false flag. You just need to tell it to ignore and possibly restore any files it quarantined. It has been noted frequently that virus protection software is falsely flagging the CM executables. In your case it looks like somehow it went a step further. Ouch Go to your account on the battlefront page and enter your key. It should allow a download. If you have any issues contact the help desk and they can sort you out.

It is due when the designer says it is due. And I am not the designer. . He will serve no campaign before it's time -
Undoubtedly they will, just a question of when. The degree of impact on the game itself is probably the determining factor. If it is very serious, they have shown a capability to get out a patch quickly assuming the issue is easily corrected. For "cosmetic" stuff it comes down to an issue of prioritization of resources. I get your feeling though, the Oplot issue "bugs" me too.

agreed, it is one thing to have a discussion on differences in perspective. It is another to have that crap start getting thrown again. If I am a "fanboy" because I disagree with you, then well... .. I can't say what I want to here without offending forum rules but it is a verb and implies the use of teeth. The argument itself is contradictory. If sticking all your mods in one folder is too hard, how is having multiple folders gonna be easier? Self contradictory and rabidly argumentative. I can get that at DMV, I don't need it here. And I don't think our community is so inept as apparently Carl does. Folks have been modding CM games for 16 years. -
What I would do is don't start CMH while playing the turn, wait until you execute with the name you want, then launch CMH. It just allows the application to do what it wants from the start and not try to correct afterwards.

Honestly I think the modders disagree with you. And as to user friendly, it is absolutely 0% harder than adding any mod. In fact for the user you just do exactly what you already do.That should be enough for you to question the validity of your reasoning. If not, oh well. It really isn't worth arguing over. It is ultimately BF's decision and it is them you'd need to convince. My agreeing or not with you doesn't really affect that much if at all. -
You can always maintain a 1.03 version and a 1.04 version. Is your concern being able to finish in 1.03 or preferring to wait for 1.04 to start (only BF could say when they might have a next patch coming and they typically won't say this early).
